As someone who knows very little about batteries and electricity in general, I still found this very interesting!😂 Also I must say you've created quite the lucrative business with more and more hybrids on the road, and many now long past the warranty. The best part is the channel name suggests your shop is within easy driving distance for me...if I buy a used hybrid someday that is.

Very good!! Thank you. I was trying to figure out the reading on Techstream, my cell readings were anywhere from 15.66 to 15.95. I notice you didn't change any cells but we didn't get to see how you discharged and recharged them? Any tips?

Hi, I really appreciate your work! At Lexus they read the battery of my 2007 GS450h and all 20 blocks are between 15,75V and 15,65V. Do you know if these are healthy numbers? Hope to hear from you!
I honestly don't remember the numbers on top of my head. One aign though, if all cells are close in voltage to each other it means they are good. Usually one or two are bad not the whole pack

Let a hybrid trained technician take a look at it
Finding issues from prior service, such as the smashed cable, missing fasteners, really promotes mistrust in others ethic & competence. Any further info on that, damaged conductors & connector among else that possibly contributed to these issues?

Not really. Only a full scan to all modules will tell if there is a current codes or not.
@@DallasAutoDiag I don’t think I want to pay for a scan I was wondering if there’s anything I could check myself to see if there’s anything wrong with the hybrid system. Appreciate your reply.
@@engineering3Dsolid I would definitely pay someone $50 to do the scan, and if you have more to spend I would advice you to hire someone to do a prepurchase inspection on it. make sure they have enough experience with hybrid vehicles. those hybrid systems are not a joke and not to be taken easy.

Hey Can You Answer A Few Questions I Put My Jumpbox On Yesterday Car Start I Drove When I Got Home Turned Car Off An Put Battery On Charger The Charger Didn’t Charge Battery I Went To Jumpstart Again All Power Came On When I Went To Push Start Car Wont Start (Ready) Dosent Come On Like Usual!
There is no way for me to know what's wrong with the car without diagnosing it. These systems are dangerous to work on them by yourself.

I need your help, if you still have this car can you try to manually turn the motor from the crank bolt? My feels like its lock but other people tells me it is suppost to be like that on gs450h. Btw check the battery in the trunk under the board the suspension computer is there along with another battery.

Hi i have a lexus gs450h, yesterday i got error check hybrid system check vsc check ecb. I cant get the car to start but after a while it does but then same thing again. Could it be the 12v battery or is it the hybrid battery?

it could be any thing. I would advice you not to work on it by youself, take it to the dealer or a hybrid certified tech.

I’m from Fresno ca mines an 09 Lexus gs450h first time it thru me the code was about 2 3 months ago I reset it the system and bought a new 12v battery cause I read it could be that. The code just popped back up just now the energy monitor shows the battery charging I’m at 55 mph at the moment my average is 27.4 mpg my range is 104 the battery does drop to two bars when station or at a light with my ac

Hello, I have a few questions when removing the battery. First, how to remove the screws of the rear seats. I used a 12mm socket, but I couldn't remove it. I used an Impact gun, but I couldn't remove the screws. The same thing happened to a few screws fixing the battery to the body, I want to know what tool you use, thank you
If says check hybrid system that simply mean that’s something is wrong with the hybrid of the system that charges the hybrid battery, I have owned 7 Lexus the only car brand I drive since 2003. I will advise please don’t buy GS450H or any car hybrid 15yr or more especially without no service history if the car developed any hybrid issues cost of restoration is normally more than the actual amount of the car. I sold my GS450H on 6 plate after 3 months in January 2022 and replaced it with GS300 on 07 plate at a bargain price no more hybrid check palaver☺️
