  • stabilization is great, imo as long as viewers can still see the kart in the shot its perfect

  • I really enjoy watching your real life racing videos and this one is no exception. Your new mindset hopefully makes the races more fun for you as well (even if you're in a slower kart). With regards to the stabilisation: I didn't notice a difference initially, but then I realized that I could watch the video in full-screen mode, whereas I usually had to reduce the size a bit to reduce motion sickness. Therefore I prefer the improved stabilisation.

  • Think about karting like you think about random alls! No one cares where you finish in random alls they watch it for the fun of watching it. And it’s the same with karting ❤

  • GGs for the Top 5! Stabilisation looks great, I personally prefeer to see the wheel, pedals and front tires to compare to other drivers onboards and Looking foward to the 24h race, since I've done one my self here in Brazil! Qualyfing tip: Try to reduce one lap in order to try a clean lap, but thats hard w/ 55 karts on track hhahaha

  • Ok, so I didn't want to be a smartass last time when you mentioned trouble at the start with the kart not accelerating as you would expect it to. I did some karting many years ago but haven't sat my butt in one for nearly 20 years, so i'm not really sure how kart engines behave these days. However, since you had trouble with it again, I'll share a piece of my limited, ancient karting experience with you. 😉 Don't go all lead foot, pedal to the metal within 0.01 seconds at the start. This can stall the engine, because it can't cope with that abrupt load change. Sorry, I can't explain this any better in english for lack of knowledge of the related technical terms. Basically, the engine gets too much air with too little resistance, which can result in it stalling, especially with small engines like that. So, don't push the pedal down too fast, give the engine time to "react". Push it slow and steady, experiment a bit with it, but I'd say it should take you about one second until you are at full throttle. The kart can't accelerate any faster than that anyways. This used to be true 20 years ago with the karts I was racing in, but it can't hurt to try it, I guess. Nice comeback in the 2nd race, btw! Edit: so I asked Google translate about the missing words, now I can explain it a bit better if you're interested. First off, I'm assuming these karts still have carburetors, no fuel injection system. If you step on the gas too quickly, the damper flap will go from almost closed to wide open in an instant, resulting in a massive speed drop of the air in the intake manifold. Because of how carburetors work, this will lead to a too low fuel to air ratio for the engine to deliver it's full power, which is especially bad under full load, like at the start.

  • i drove on a "new" (to me) track with some friends (non racing friends) and they thought it was gonna be close, one of them thought he was gonna lap me 1-3 times and he wanted to bet on it. Give it to him i weigh about 32 kg more than him, so he had an advantage and he had driven around that track before (just twice and more than 2 years prior though). we got to drive in the dark, meaning they limited us to only half the track due to lighting. Full track i timed other very fast drivers at around 1:06. half track was around 40s lap time. I ended doing 27 laps to the second person's 22 for a 20 minute session. 4 other people tried to claim my time sheets, because it was not name based, but just cart #. they thought they were passing me multiple times because in the first 3-4 round i spinned every round on cold tires and wet surface + a terrible breaking zone. none of them paid attention to me overtaking them back 10 seconds later / 3 turns later on the outside... it is very fun driving with noobs (and i say that word with all the love in the world). Driving with great drivers (that have a huge weight advantage over you) on the other hand is so much harder. (also the track was soooo bumpy and the carts so bad, that 9 days later my hands still hurt... and i could barely drive home after the race from the very strong tremor)
