PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 24, 2021) The Gold Crew aboard the Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Ohio (SSGN 726) conducts daily operations as the boat transits the Pacific Ocean. Ohio is conducting surveillance, training, and other critical missions in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operation. (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Kelsey J. Hockenberger) - Video is low resolution.
Wow... 480p from the most powerful navy in the world.
People will complain about everything huh
In fairness, they probably don't want you seeing much of anything aboard in excessive detail. I doubt they'd even appreciate us knowing how the chairs are bolted to the floors. Silent service. 🤷
Mans is the only dude outside of the sub and he wearing a mask lmao this made my day
Thank god its low res. The Soviets will never figure out what we're doing.
at 2:08 that is my girl driving the sub! Proud Pop moment!
Brilliant!
A submarine is the closest you’ll get to the starship Enterprise 💜
You think they could use some of the same technology say on spacecraft as they do on subs?Like propulsion, oxigen etc...
@@straitjacket8689 They cant because they oxygen generation system takes the air from seawater unless they have takes of water on the ship and the propellers need a median to pull them through!
in a discussion about starship interiors (precipitated by the inside of the jj pretenderprise) i made the point that the interior of a starship would look a lot like the interior of a modern submarine because its essentially something similar; a little envelope of survivable environment where space and resources are at a premium.
one of the reasons why I signed up for it! Two submarine officers have been astronauts. The latest is a female. She was on the ISS for I think a year or something like that. Don't know when or if she goes to space again. I hope she gets to the Moon. LCDR Kayla Barron. 🙂 I was on submarines 1999 to 2003. STS3(SS). [paygrade E-4 sonar man.] Women started being allowed on submarines in 2008 so I missed it, although i was always in favor. 🙂
Ah finally. Was waiting for another sub vid!
At about 0:16 you can see the original pattern used in Type I NWUs
3:40 all clear, raising the rollers! Clear forward! Clear aft! 🙂
I love SSBN & SSGN Submarines of the UNITED States Navy.
amazing how the one guy on the mast in the middle of eFFing nowhere is masked up...let's go brandon
Wow. Of all the really cool stuff that happens on a submarine, this has got to be the worst video ever. Close-ups of blinking lights and wedding rings!? C'mon, Navy! You can do better. Also, why the 2-second dead air between each scene?
Your not even supposed to wear rings and jewelry in that setting due to the numerous amount of equipment and machines you are working with.
I don’t understand the masks, you test and isolate the crew before sailing so their clear to travel. Common sense says they won’t be going anywhere once they sail 🤦🏻♂️
Brandon did that! same dude who fell of a bicycle is in charge of our armed forces SMDH
Wearing a mask outside on deck?
Girl power👑👑👑💋💋
All I can say is I loved every minute I spent on the Ok City in the early 90s, but looks like I got out at the right time. My god what the hell happened to the US Navy.
This clip is very mystical,by my personal opinion about this graet clip, After 25 years right life! Every wrong things behind it , outomatical will get delet, patiently wait is a big gun.♥
480p?
I am in possession of the token for this submarine (The original)
Why are they wearing masks? Aren’t they onboard for long periods of time with no exposure to others?
We had many visitors onboard at various times so we continuously wore masks.
@@justinwhitehead6181 stay safe and thanks for what you all do.
Judging by how this is a video that was allowed to be taken of the sub my guess is that these people were guest with permission and were just along for the ride so the actual sailors wore masks to prevent any chance of catching an accidental spread of the virus with all the different people and the people recording this did the same just in case as well. It makes sense really
Alot of splitbottoms . Life is simple either you are qualified or you are not !
480p resolution... Really?
Why is there always people complaining, its also low res for security reason
Nice a look at a guy looking at water.
Man I want to live on an SSGN or Virginia Class sub. Any American sub that has a Global Prompt Strike weapon on it. 😇
I bet China don't want to mess with these girls.
Did I miss something?? When did they allow chicks on subs??
They've been doing it for a while now, I dont remember when it started, but they're still converting subs over to allow women. I wanna say its just the Ohio class allowing women so far (but I'm only in DEP so don't take my word for it)
I believe they are only on Ohio class SSGN"s and it started in like 2010 maybe? Idk.
Apparently you've missed the entire woke revolution. Some knuckle head politicians thought it would be a great idea to put teenage men and women with raging hormones on a boat for a prolonged period of time. No worries, they are also making progress in destroying the combat readiness of the USMC.
I was on the Ohio and left in September 2011, the first chick was stationed on a submarine (the Ohio) on October 2011.
A long time actually. It's quite fun being on a sub and feels like a great accomplishment to make it so far in life wouldn't you agree.
What's Up US Navy US Sailors Marvelous Submarine Powerful Military forces 🇺🇸 🌻 🚢 🐊 🏝️ ⛵ 🏖️ ✡️ 🛳️ ⚔️ ☃️
What 480p video from a russian submarine.
Wow! Thats women empowerment! Take care guys and God bless you all in silent service and God bless America! Thats right Silence is Victory!
You are a damn fool.
@@Alaskabuilt_ so are you.
Blank spaces between certain scenes and a complete randomness in the flow of the video really confused me and it didn't hold my interest at all. The fine work of our brave men and women sailors deserves a much better portrayal. BZ to the crew of USS Ohio and thanks for taking over the watch.
I agree but disagree. The video is done this way to keep a low profile and maintain low interest so nothing is fully revealed and we keep our enemies at bay
I appreciate your view. Hadn't considered that. Thank you
@@sneakysnake109 no problem
its nice seeing our brave sailors in action. but whats the point of masks in such a closed environment?
Because it's a closed environment.
@@davidhoward437 which is why wearing masks is pointless.
@@thurin84 masks are pointless to begin with.
@@losi5ivet29cc kinda my point.
Wearing a covid mask on a submarine where you have no personal space anyway seems redundant
Complete respect to those serving, but wearing masks while at sea? Really?
covid is no joke. In the early days a whole submarine crew got it.
Darn, I wanted to see them eat with the masks on too.
What is the mask for
Worthless video quality.
Be nice:( we love the navy
@@qualitycontentchannel4443 our military is worthless and only does as a tyrannical government tells them to. They protect Iraq elections more then American elections. Imagine that. We the people are waging war on this tyrannical government and may God have mercy on them because we will not! WAR!
@@qualitycontentchannel4443 odd this is the only comment you have left on KZhead in 5 years. You are deepstate and we are coming!
@@Alaskabuilt_ ??????? lol, you can literally look at my channel and i've posted videos very recently. You're weird
@@qualitycontentchannel4443 damn fool.
Womxn in the military should have never happened. Its a shame.
If you chickenhawks had ever served in the military you would understand why women have a valuable role.
