    • in a discussion about starship interiors (precipitated by the inside of the jj pretenderprise) i made the point that the interior of a starship would look a lot like the interior of a modern submarine because its essentially something similar; a little envelope of survivable environment where space and resources are at a premium.

    • one of the reasons why I signed up for it! Two submarine officers have been astronauts. The latest is a female. She was on the ISS for I think a year or something like that. Don't know when or if she goes to space again. I hope she gets to the Moon. LCDR Kayla Barron. 🙂 I was on submarines 1999 to 2003. STS3(SS). [paygrade E-4 sonar man.] Women started being allowed on submarines in 2008 so I missed it, although i was always in favor. 🙂

    • Judging by how this is a video that was allowed to be taken of the sub my guess is that these people were guest with permission and were just along for the ride so the actual sailors wore masks to prevent any chance of catching an accidental spread of the virus with all the different people and the people recording this did the same just in case as well. It makes sense really

Some knuckle head politicians thought it would be a great idea to put teenage men and women with raging hormones on a boat for a prolonged period of time. No worries, they are also making progress in destroying the combat readiness of the USMC.
