  • Im planning a DIY project to paint my car and thought, maybe i should ceramic coat my car afterwards. Then i searched comparison videos on products and your channel popped up a lot. I finally check you out and had no idea that you also had your own car car products. I think it's very professional of you to showcase not only your products but competitors' products as well. It shows that you're ok if someone decides not to go with your product. I'll me watching more videos on your products as well.

  • Chemical guys recommends using 2 good squeezes of the product with water. Once applied to the car you should use a microfiber wash mit and help apply the product better by wiping it on. Afterwards use a big microfiber towel or shammy to dry off the car. I usually do this because it helps apply an even more thick layer of the coating than just applying it on and washing it off

  • Great video! Just started following you. I love this soap and agree with your assessment. I think it’s best for well maintained and ceramic coated cars for a touch less, maintenance wash but can be used for bucket washes as well if needed. For really dirty cars, I’d go with something more aggressive.

  • Just put the Hydro Slick on my Camaro. It has a few coats of Adams Ceramic Spray that I love.. wow. I didnt think the Inferno Orange paint could pop any more then it did. But the Hydro Slick added to it for sure. Just bought soap today. Saw it at Canadian Tire so I bought it. Bought both without watching any reviews. Looks like I made some good choices.

  • I just bought 2 more bottles of this stuff today, it has been my go to for bucket washing since I got into DiY detailing. I have a ceramic coated 4runner and wanted something to maintain the coating. I started with foam cannon then bucket with this stuff. I then quickly went through over half the bottle doing so. Now I do a heavy soap in the cannon, then use this in 2 bucket wash method. Stuff is great. I wish I could get it in a gallon

  • Great video. I’m looking for something like an si02 spray and treatment. I need it for a fifth wheel that I can’t reach with my hands. I spray with a soap cannon and then scrub with a microfiber cloth on a pole. Not just to make it hydrophobic but make it more difficult for the bugs to stick to the fifth wheel during long road trips. Is this the best product or is there another you have reviewed that you recommend?

  • Hey, Thanks for showing some of the Chemical Guys Ceramic Products. Their Honey Dew Snow foam was some of the first products I bought after watching your detailing videos. But I have to say I’m addicted to the Griots Foaming Car wash and Poly Gloss. As a retired baby boomer I have the time mess with my car washing and I usually wash my car very often and wax it with Collinite about every 3 months. The car stays incredibly clean even after a rain storm.

    • @@autofanaticcars I use a lot of Griot's foaming poly gloss, after the wash. That stuff is so amazing, and is great for a maintenance spray. Hydroslik is the easiest ceramic to apply that I've used, and it is what I recommend for beginners as a ceramic base coat, because the risk of flash streaks is so low.

      @JoeZasada@JoeZasada4 жыл бұрын
    • Poly Gloss is a good product but EXPENSIVE as hell and its just a gloss enhancer not a cleaner of any kind and you need to be careful applying it in a foam cannon if you overdo it the stuff oozes out of crevices and leaves residue all over the paint.

Is it a easy way to apply a ceramic type gloss and protection , maybe this should be used to coat the car after it’s clean to bond the ceramic better to the paint , what do you think ?

    @Antimatter.@Antimatter.4 жыл бұрын
    • Its supposed to be a maintenance shampoo for a car that has a ceramic coating already applied. They dont specify how it works but if I had to make a guess I would its think a low-aggression soap that doesnt try to eat away at the ceramic coating you just paid so much to have done. I believe its meant to lift the dirt/residue off the ceramic coating while preserving/protecting the coating itself even further. How it preserves/protects the ceramic coating itself? No idea, they dont say. If the product works as advertised , logically I would think it adds another protective and/or hydrophobic coating that clings to ceramic coatings better than another wax/coating itself. Does it work how it should? I hope

The car has a coat of Rejex but I have never been satisfied with the beading, albeit it did have some beading. HydroSuds took any beading I had off the car entirely. In fact I think it probably does a better job than Chemical Guys Clean Slate! I will say that it did clean the car well though and it was pretty dirty. Anyway, I dried it all off then clay bared the paintwork. I then applied a coat of 303 Graphene Nano Spray. Man! is that stuff good. The beading is quite amazing and the paintwork feels silky smooth. The shine is like glass. I defo wont use HydroSuds again unless I need a Clean Slate 🤣🤣

  • Just a question with ‘foaming’ the car with these types of products. You foamed the car, rinsed and dried but you found areas that were still dirty. Does that mean you may need to foam and hand wash your car to be completely clean? Or are there other products that will get all the dirt.

    @billsenior213@billsenior2134 жыл бұрын
    • it all depends the self cleaning is all in the protective barrier on the paint and how well it repels the dirt from bonding. most soaps offer little to no self cleaning from all the years of me testing soaps but if you have a good soap it will break up the dirt and whisk it away as I show in this video. not all cases lend itself to a touch less wash especially after driving in the rain a few days but otherwise a touch less wash works for most with ceramic coating and highly protective sealants.

    • Yes due to the Covid Crisis Amazon is not shipping orders out anytime soon for non essential items. You can order directly from the Auto Fanatic website and we are still shipping the same day USPS Priority in most cases until stock runs out.

    • yeah not sure how well it protects but the reason i decided to show it in the video is the self cleaning it did offer, not as much as the Auto Fanatic SnowStorm soap but at least i saw enough worth the merit to show and thats how i judge soaps now as i explained in the video. weather is so sporadic down here to shoot content.

    • if it does not make it to the channel then it failed miserable on all levels. I purchased every top retail brands ceramic soap and while this one is not perfect but it offers some self cleaning which promoted me to show you guys as i feel that should be the most critical criteria of foaming up ones car. I have been offered BIG $$$ to video some brands and I gracefully declined to promote products that do not perform to my criteria or have a poor user experience overall. my content is not based on sponsorships and I do not accept money to do these videos for you guys from the brands. thanks for watching this one.

  • If you’re going to test for dirt runoff, shouldn’t you start with a dirty vehicle? If you’re going to test the dirt runoff against other soaps, shouldn’t you start with comparable amounts of dirt, on similar vehicles, with similar types of dirt? The dirt in the foam on the asphalt appeared to be splashed up from the surface of the asphalt. And…what’s the connection between suds and cleaning/dirt run off?

    @tritip1102@tritip1102 Жыл бұрын
    • good soaps will activate whatever dirt is on the car especially the lower section and run off in the foam which is visible. cheap soaps offer zero self cleaning because of how their made but decent to good soaps do and this is my test procedure to see how well it works. If I used a very dirty car it would make it much harder to tell if the soap did the cleaning or the gravity from water from blasting the car with the foam cannon.

      @autofanaticcars@autofanaticcars Жыл бұрын
  • Its a soap. NOT a snow foam/prewash. 'Soaps' or 'Shampoos' shouldn't really be judged on their cleaning ability. Try a dedicated snowfoam/prewash all you'll get far better results.
