Turn on the subtitles for more informations. This is a alcohol burner I made using copper tube, cotton string and tin cans. Works very well as a burner and kinda well as stove.
🔥🔥🔥 be careful when handling alcohol and fire 🔥🔥🔥
One thing I forgot to explain in the video is that the base of the reservoir MUST BE ON THE SAME LEVEL AS THE TOP OF THE SPIRAL to have enough flow for a large flame.

Thank you. I appreciate you getting right to the video without all of the talking. Many video makers out there take F O R E V E R to get to the point of the video. Great video and very easy to follow along.
Of all I've seen, this burner works the best for my situation. Very nice. Your added foot note was my first question, answered. One thing I noticed is that if starting with a coiled tube, it is important to completely straighten it before attempting these bends. My first attempt is quite sloppy compared to yours but it works great. The only drawback being that if fuel is still in the can after a burn, it will drip from the hole in the loop, So I either have to empty it or store it at a slant. My second attempt was a tad tougher as the tubing was thinner and not willing to bend without kinking. So I went the sand route and put the wick in later...just not all the way around the loop. It worked much better. Thanks for this technique. It's a good one.
Que ótimo ter o senhor de volta. Aguardando mais vídeos.
I've never thought of using the output flame the boil the fuel, resulting in a jet. That's a good bit of ingenuity, I personally thought you were making a steampunk oil candle lol
Wow. I didn't think of it boiling. I just thought it was pre-heating. So cool.
Will it work with a mantle . Possibly a homemade mantle . Silk and phorescent solubles ? Idk ? I'm not going to try it , you try it . Oh crap Mickey is in jail . Yeah he tried everything .
Very common mechanism in gas burners.
As soon as the flame is hot enough it turns the alcohol into hot vapor in turn feeding the flame. Wonderful
I was trying to figure out how this operates. Makes perfect sense now. Thanks. I missed the significance of the initial firing of the coil until I read your comment. Lol
Great concept, similar to others, yet different enough to be cool. Thanks.
I want to thank you for posting your video from buffalo NY. I want to build this myself------ and see how it works for me. Many blessings to you
if you ever need to bend copper pipe this thin into a tight bend to stop it from fattening out fill it with water and freeze it, top tip for today,
seen other videos they fill it with sand or salt.
The solder may not have sealed the joint, because it's clear that the soldering iron was primarily heating the solder, not the joint. Always heat the metal until the solder flows and wets it without it touching the soldering iron.
Finally, the string makes sense!! Good job man!!
Caramba.

Useful and fun tech out of nothing. Foguista at His Best. Respect.
Good work. Thanks for posting the burner, I need one for my steamboat.
Did you use water or was it alcohol or something?
Although in is pinch, these are clever, and could save your life in the time of need. I will recommend that two "back-flow" devices be installed on each leg. There is adjustable PSI that can be adjusted down to (0.1 PSI) or get the preset check valve units... These types of stoves love to back flow causing a gassed off explosion and often times leaving folks with horrible burns, and in some cases, left dead. The reason for such, is in the event that one leg/tube gets plugged from foreign materials, and the other leg/tube is still feeding the gassed off fuel oil and if you ever hear the flame roar go full throttle and double and triple in sound and size, you have about a minute to stop the flame, before the wicking action of the remaining leg/tube being gassed off internally causing a chain reaction of what is remaining and will splatter the remain fuel oil out of the holding vessel lid or no lid, now can ignite all of that... A glass of water on stand by to pour on the flame to put the flame out and to cool the leg/tube will prevent this run away... Good luck, I enjoyed the video.
The Yank with the usual hysterical take… calm down honey. It’s an oil lamp
@@Br1cht Well, clearly, you have never had a 3rd degree burn before. or had to take care of somebody who has. Brother, as macho as you just tried to come off as, as if being burned by spraying oils, is just not that big of a deal, lets say if your arm is burned my oil that is flamed, the amount of open wound to allow infection in, with in 4 hours, is a very serious deal, people all over the world die from this. as their is nothing there to seal your tissue away from airborne junk, and no blood supply to try and heal the wound, it is just muscle tissue open to collecting junk. But, you do you buddy. I do not wish anybody ever have to deal with burns from oil. it is a horrible way to live, as most wish they would have just died due to all the complications and can take years, if they survive. A video showcasing a "CLEVER" way to light or heat a small space for what ever reason, perhaps, even SHTF gameshow, that is a really bad idea, compared to other methods that are 100 times safer. just saying... The idea that you are okay with people learning this method of oil lamping, with out a warning of explosions from gas backing, well, good luck with that. As per me being a Yank, YES, and I am damn proud of it. I have been is 27 country's of the 193 or 197 or how ever many there is, I LOVE my country, and no other country can measure up to the USA.
Good that you took the time to warn of any types of dangers. Thanks for doing that. Many people dont realise what they are experimenting with on these youtube videos. There is a man in my town in Australia and his face is disfigured. i asked him what happened. When he was a kid, his dad was using petrol, not knowing how potent petrol is. The young kid learnt the hard way and he paid the price in his adult life. @@drubradley8821
Pregunta a los rusos 😂❤🎉
As I understand it is an alcohol stove, so not sure your comments apply.
I did not expect it to shoot up with that kinda pressure..nice
Interessante, quanto tempo dura estas chamas? Já fez algum teste sobre tempo?

This gives me all kinds of really cool ideas several ways you can do this.
Nice! Must have hot coffee!! I need one on the workbench, thank you.
🙂 BACANA ! DIFERENTE DOS QUE JÁ VI ATÉ AGORA 🙂👍
Great project but watching the soldering was painful! Touching the iron for only a second at a time simply won't heat the joint enough, resulting in lumpy cold solder joints which will eventually leak. Keep the iron at the joint and let the solder wet and flow into the tin can. Keeping the iron for as long as it takes won't hurt anything. I would use a 100W iron to guarantee the temperature stays hot as the can and copper tubing easily conduct the heat away from the area to be soldered.
You are correct. But it is not for electric contact. If it works, it's okay. It is not even necessary to solder it. JB-Weld might work also.
Its more than enough for no pressure liquid holding
Fantastic idea.
What stops it from dripping after you blow it out?
Is it ok if we reduce the copper coil length?
Copper coil burner......creative and I'm happy to see the video, success for "foguista .........."....Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia OK
I know how to make the small ones that come out of the lid but I have never thought about doing it that way. That is very clever, thank you so much. Y'all think about it now. Stay vigilant!
It's a very smart and elegant design. Thanks a lot to share.
Won't it leak after it cools off, like it did before you lit it? Do you have to empty the remaining fuel when you're done?
Good idea, very useful, someday i tried at my work shop, for the vacation, like camping, overnight at the beach, with my friends, i think really work,👏👏
Ótimo trabalho. PARABÉNS.
fantastic!
this is the best version of youtube era, the classic youtube!
I just made a one... It's not burning well. My loop is rather large. I wonder if I need a larger hole?
What kind of alcohol did you use as fuel?
You should make one with several coils and several holes or will that mess up the pressure of the one hole?
Great video and with the use of my common sense your words weren't necessary!! Win win and thanks for the quiet and to the point video
Great. How to shut-off the flame when alcohol fuel still remain in the tank? Pls respons

@@fazatron1000 you must use pure alcohol...at least 80 %
What kind of solder are you using? Can you give me a link?
I tried snapping my fingers like that, to cut the can. I snapped my fingers raw, but I still couldn't get it to work.
Kkkkk
This is just 00000,1% of a brazilian dude power
I had the same problem I snapped my fingers expecting by girlfriend to actually do something like wash dishes and it doesn't work.

Can used cooking oil be used as fuel?

Thanks!
no, thank YOU
The sound effect is quite good. 🤣
I do Love this stove. As a idea only. Could it be made with no holes in tank and have it outside, run a siphon tube from a tank outside so it automatically refills.
Which liquid you fill in the tank?
perfect, thanks man.
Very nice and useful design, but how to stop the flammable liquid that will flow drop by drop after the flame goes out? Is it just necessary to tilt the copper tuillots at the top so that the holes are at the same level of the liquid to stop the downward ?physical flow?
I also thought a good addition would be a fuel shutoff...petcock I guess they used to say (& relative to motorcycles)
When you blow out the flame, does it carry on dripping fuel?
Sorry to ask, what kind of oil do you use, sir?
How many btu would you guesstimate?

What would happen if you added another loop at the end with a hole in it right next to the other?? Just curious.

What about the wool in the pipe?? The temperature at the jet will melt the wool and block the pipe anyway! Or did you just snap you fingers too?🤗
Gostei. Mossoró RN.
Everyone, explanations are in the subtitles.
Excelente trabajo, detallado paso x paso, hasta fino diria yo. Una oportunidad de supervivencia. Mil gracias abrazos.
A good tip is to put sand, (or water and freeze) inside of the tube before bending. Prevents crimps whilst bending!
You’ve been watching too many movies. 😂😂😂
Sadly no they are actually correct here , sand does not compress well so it keeps your tubes from collapsing when your bending copper.
@@killerdeamonking It depends on the diameter of the pipe you are wrapping the copper tubing around. If the diameter is large enough the copper tubing will not crimp. Only small, tight bends will crimp the tubing.
yes for tight bends, Your not likely to make such tight bends often.@@toshikotanaka3249
Perfecto 👍

cool man but did you time the burn rate at max fill of the alcohol?
Same format of the kerosene Stove👍👍👍
And how will you replace the cotton wick after it has burned through?
Good,i Like💖alcohol Burner stoves withmore little flames.
Very cool, how does it have such a powerful flame tho ? Is it gravity from the reservoir being higher ? And how long would a full reservoir last ?
Maybe a needle with tread,
Suck with vacuum sweeper
Hellooooooooooo....!
4:55 First, sand the areas of the can where you will be putting the holes. Then' make the holes in the can. Sand the ends of the copper tubing. Put it all together. Solder, using silver solder. --Much better results.--
Seems to work . In the future use fine sand to fill the copper tube completely and tape the ends before bending. Works much better , :O)
Interessante!
Y la as probado con aceite quemado ?
super!!!
This is very cool and I totally understand how it works where the hell did you get this idea from?
Love you so much❤❤❤ bro. God bless you so much❤❤❤

Lindo trabalho ! Fico preocupada no cessar fogo. Como faço para interromper o fogo?
Do you have to change the string often ? Or only if it runs dry and burns ?
I think the string is protected, being enclosed in the small pipe. The flame would have a hard time entering that small outlet hole.
Cool can you make a big version
