    • Yes it is pal. Hard to imagine driving a machine now without it tbh. Tried a tilty once for 10 mins but that was it. Was only playing with it really. Maybe some day I'll operate with 1 full time but can't see it anytime soon

  • Nice job ... U need a stone box or a loader with a side dump or use an end dump if available as a stone box. That machine should never pull off the trench. That little bit of time goin to get stone adds up and that’s less pipe in the ground.

    • Hi. The yellow monitor is part of the topcon machine control. I have a model/drawing of the work I'm doing on the screen also so I know what I'm doing. When it makes beeping noise that is me at my correct digging depth.

    • Cheers pal. Just remember every op started from scratch and no1 is perfect at the start. Yes you will probably break some stuff, possibly hit some pipes etc but we all did. We'll at least I know I did 🤣 just learn from it. Listen and watch the more experienced lads. See how they do things. Watch how they set up the machines and take it all in. And always take pride in your work. It's a good trait to have. Other than that pal it all comes down to time in the seat. Always try and do the next job better than the last and eventually it will just become normal. Best of luck 👍

  • Dude I know it's not your machine but notice how you slam the bucket open almost EVERY time? Over time that makes bushings and pins wear out a little faster and it's hard on the cylinder. I'd fire someone if they did that on my equipment. It's not just digging good that makes someone a good operator but someone who know how to maintain and make the machine last as long as possible.

    • 🤣🤣 generally, for ground like that, I would carry a boulder or big lump concrete about with me, and every now and again, just give the bucket a few light taps on it. Stuff falls out easier with the downward force rather than banging hitch

    • It's the 1st and only system I've ever used pal so have nothing to compare it 2. But from some1 who only started using it 2 years ago I find it an amazing bit of kit. Gets the job done. 👍
