He snapped them up. Imagine if they opened their own place to wrap. This was a clear business move. Anyone could see that.
Ozzy _ anyone would also know they could’ve been in a non compete clause, completely preventing them from owning or starting a shop for year if not longer though. Besides they have the skills, yanni ddidnt have the skill to wrap yet has a successful business.
Ozzy _ Yh you are absolutely right. However i would not be surprised if they already had some pre-existing clause in their contract which prevented them from joining a competitive firm. But yh your right, they could have quite easily opened their own place. But then again, Yianni is the one with the following, Social media presence and contacts etc. Something they would struggle to get. But then again saying that... i doubt these two would ever do that to Yianni, they seem pretty legit to me- although Yianni is 100% an entrepreneur who will always act in the favour of his business to maximise profits

Yanni ain't silly this is a big power move. Without Nico.and Marc this business would not be as successfu as it is, they are highly skilled and could easily become Yannis biggest competition if they left. The percentage dont matter as long as they where happy this now ties them to the company so they cant become the competition.meaning the business will continue to grow.

their current contract prob also included non compete/solicit so this doesnt change that much. Also most articles of incorporation / SHAs include a clause to buy out those real small shareholders. Still is a nice gesture tho for years of hard work.

It was a selfish move on his part.. he just ensured there's no chance they go off and start their own thing bc they would dominate.

@@adeelm9028 he is, but he cant wrap, he relies on good wrappers. This is why is better to give them shares and keep them within the company than let them go. Mark and Nico are probably the best and fastest in the wrapping industry.

Not all employers can make moved like this in say businesses with 20 employees. Yiannimize operates in a field (car wrapping) where his profit margin is high in both a percentage term and probably figures terms. Yes i'd imagine all his staff are on above industry average for all their roles but you have to understand Yianni's customers are wealthy (the majority) so £5k and above on their car is not life changing money.

Limited company shareholder details is public record, so you could find out how much they got from Companies House. Combined they got around 10% which is very generous from Yianni, considering he didn't have to offer them anything. Shows how much he values their contributions
Even 5% each if they make 5 mill profit a year is 250k a piece obviously before any taxes etc. Think about that, they could be and will be the highest paid wrappers in the world.. But thats a strong power move by yanni.
The shares come with many strings attatched, if they leave the company then their shares dissolve
