Congratulations to Ryan Mozisek!!! 🎉
Congratulations Ryan, now I'm going to cry.
I’m so happy for him… The rat bastard.
Get rid of Trump supporters like O’Leary and I will retry your channel. Until then I will WATCH others.
@@davidfoster466 Haha grow up you child. Your what's wrong with this country.
@davidfoster466 wow you're so full of hate. Good riddance. Keep up the good work, Teddy.
If only using only one brand, my choice would be Omega. Seamaster, speedmaster,Planet ocean, aqua terra, de ville and constelation. So diverse but good overall line up
I agree 100%
For me, with a limimted budget, would be either Tissot or Seiko.
Can’t go wrong with Tissot or Seiko, fantastic watches!
@@HisMajesty99 You will get 0 respect from men and 0 attention from women with your Seiko, incel - please don't dispense false advice!
Great choice , love them both.
I have two Prospex that are my daily drivers. Love 'em.
I could be perfectly happy owning just Omegas for the rest of my life.
Me too! They sell so many variants of their watches, you‘ll always find a watch you like
Speedy for life
Special snowflake aren't you
That would be my solo brand for sure
Absolutely. I love Cartier and Grand Seiko, but Omega's catalog is ridiculous.
My one brand would be Longines
That’s a great choice - and thank you for not saying Tudor
Me too, man. Longines has so much to offer.
I’m starting to share this sentiment. Their last few years makes them rival brands far more expensive
@@italianstallion3130My one brand would be Tudor.
Interesting that you feature the PRX when talking about quick release spring bars. While the bracelet does wear larger since it doesn't allow for much taper, they've actually fixed that on the strap, making it wear much smaller on that. It's one of the reasons I haven't put mine back on the bracelet since I got the strap.
Completely agree with the Explorer and the list of brands in the first question!
This is probably my favorite format of video from teddy. very informative
Your jackets are always so spot on, does anybody knows what are those? This black and dark brown ones especially, loved them
For me, I can't imagine having a collection of all the same brand. A big part of the joy of looking at my collection is the variety and uniqueness of each piece based on what each particular maker is known for and/or specializes in. I have Omega and Tudor for my higher end. Longines, Hamilton, Mido in the middle. Even just grabbed a new Seiko SSK019 "pepsi" for a weekend/after work wear and love it. For some reason it's actually one of my favorite watches and it's even the cheapest. Go figure ha! They all fit different situations/outfits which for me is what I love most. Of course it's all personal preference as Teddy mentions all the time. It's what makes my journey enjoyable to me.
About on-the-fly adjustment. The VC Overseas uses a butterfly clasp, but it still has on-the-fly adjustment in that highly stylized clasp, so there, it CAN be done.
My Seiko Astron has micro adjustment with a very small clasp. I love it.
Seiko is a smart move because you can go for entry level stuffs to Grand Seiko to Credor.
One watch... for me it's my 1861 Omega Speedmaster on a black leather strap. Perfection So yes... Omega for me..especially their older watches
One WATCH to rule them all...😅
@@LlionelZisengwe ha ha "my precious".. indeed
I LOVE the speedmaster, but I need a date on my watch. The Speedmasters with a date window are nice but just don't have that "look" the original has.... Maybe one day Omega will make one with a small hidden date window....😢
@@keesketsers5866 speedmaster reduced for you maybe? I think a date would spoil the original speedy
Teddy if you’re gonna get into pens there’s no better fun than going through the old Goulet Q&A videos and the newer Pencast. Nice to have on in the background and start to learn a lot about that whole world
Love the Q&A videos thank you!
The AP question was great. Kudos to the person who asked it. What a distinguished gentleman.
I have a 3 watch collection from 1 brand, Omega Aqua Terra 38mm, Omega Speedmaster 38mm, and Omega De Ville Prestige 39.5mm
I have an extensive collection but more often I wear my Omega Aqua Terra white dial and my Tudor BB58 blue. Any of the two could be my only watch brands. However the future might change that.
Longines is my one brand I would choose. But the explorer as the single watch for life has a lot of appeal too.
Most underrated Rolex to me is Skydweller. I am bias though because it is by far my favorite. Amazing looking and most complicated in lineup and doesn’t get much hype
The thing is no one thinks skydweller is not attractive. It’s not underrated, exactly because it’s highly regarded and sells out super fast. It’s also why you don’t get a lot of online discussions about it.
I got mine in December,(my grail watch) I Personal think it’s by far the best looking of all of the Rolex lineup, crazy nice on the wrist
@@jrsong9503: also, it's not exactly the most affordable Rolex... I like it.
I would say the two tone DateJust is the most recognizable Rolex after the Submariner, personally.
I love these Q and A’s as well as all of the other content you put out!
You think the Explorer design is more recognizable than a DJ? I think 1 and 2 are Sub and DJ
I’ve only owned 5 watches and they have all been Seiko so far. The only 2 I still have in the collection is the spb143 and the newest pickup 62mas sje093. I’m also a huge watch enthusiast but not necessarily a huge collector. More does not equal better imo and I really enjoy and digest what I have.
I think you’re doing it right
Is that Traska at 9:01 still available? Love the lugs but the Feediver at their site seems to feature another case design (unfortunately)
To the AP topic at minute 17:37 : I think it is a nice touch. Look at the Seiko limited Studio Ghibli Edition for example. I would love to get my hands on this Seiko Presage Spring Drive Porco Rosso Edition. But at the moment it is out of my price range. But i am working on it. Greetings from Germany.
I sold my watch collection and just bought one watch, a new Rolex Datejust 36 with jubilee bracelet and black dial. It does everything, waterproof, just as durable as an explorer but with a date window, wearable in any situation and VERY comfortable. I also have two Seiko divewatches for when I'm going somewhere I don't want to wear something expensive (yes, I love Seiko divewatches).
Glad you mentioned the Longines Ultachron Teddy. Can we get a full review of one someday? I’ve not been able to find a comprehensive overview of that watch and it’s one I’m very taken by!
LOVE The Explorer I, and II. Picked up a 16570 black dial - fantastic watch.
I have 16570 Swiss Made black dial, SEL and stamped clasp. It wears perfectly, and competes with my Speedy for ‘watch I will be buried with.’
@@MyMarsham agreed!
Well done to you Ryan, your lucky day.😊. While talking about micro brands a really nice square shaped watch appeared for a couple of seconds. It was a Trafford Crossroads. Never seen this brand before but looks stunning.
Once again, excellent content and presentation. Thank you!
I would go with seiko if I could get into the asian market. I would love to get my hands on a Seiko Brightz ( Sagm/Sagj) model.
I just got the call for the Explorer 1 36mm…I will pick it up tomorrow! I love the simplicity and fits like a glove on my 6.5 inch wrist!
Congrats I picked up my exp 40 a few months ago, love it
Hey Teddy quick question - where'd you get that black jacket? Dig it.
Love it! I would definitely go for Omega tho
Teddy, I would love to see a video about your personal collection.
I don’t say this lightly but your shop will be the only place I buy watches from now on. Now obviously if I see a screaming deal or find a Rolex in an antique store I may make an exception but you can’t hold that against me. I really do enjoy this channel and I also understand how hard it can be to open a brick and mortar store. Looking forward to my next purchase
Sounds like we need Kirby to do some shows from the store. Maurice has some nice EDC items that would be nice add ons online. I don't think I could do one brand for life. I enjoy too many different aspects of watches for that. Great episode!
Hey teddy, about Christopher Ward- I feel like you don’t mention them very often (granted I am certainly a fanboy of them). I would love for you to do a review of the brand in its entirety considering it’s modern collection that I feel is very strong.
Amazing video! Congrats on getting Omega on the site bro
I am constantly in awe of the breadth of information and the quality of insight you pack into each cast. Thank you.
AWESOME VIDEO TED! Good job
Great video Ted... what's your take on Jack Mason watches ? They look pretty sharp ....love to know what you think about them thanks
For me it has a be one of the Rolex gmt with jubliee bracelet
only brands; low tier: seiko/casio mid: oris/tudor low high tier: omega/cartier (no diver but who goes diving anyway) trinity level: jlc (id be happy with a reverso one watch collection so yeah😂)
Very interesting observation regarding collectors vs enthusiasts. That someone can be an enthusiast without being a collector for whatever reasons I understand, but the flip side of that, being a collector without being an enthusiast, just to say they have a certain watch, is something I can’t comprehend. It’s very comparable right now to the bourbon/whiskey community where people collect just to show off what they’ve accumulated but never drink what they’ve collected where as an enthusiast will open and drink every bottle they are fortunate to obtain and learn what they can about what they have.
I agree. A collector is someone who has so much of something (in this case watches) that they can’t possibly use it all regularly and probably doesn’t care about that. Just having it is more important than using it. An enthusiast wants something because they like it and intend to use it. There is probably a line where an enthusiast slides down the slippery slope and becomes a collector without noticing. I wonder what that is? I count myself as an enthusiast and have four watches which I rotate, wearing one for a week at a time. There’s probably two other watches I’d like to own but would having six watches tip me over the edge into being a collector?!
Teddy, you touched on two things that I totally relate too. Under rated with a bracelet clasp that is adjustable without a tool. I recently purchased a Tudor Ranger, a close cousin to the Explorer and significantly less expensive. It has a clean tool watch appeal and is not pretentious and has a clasp that is adjustable on the fly. My Submariner is going much less wrist time.
Great selection of questions!
I am building my collection around Tudor. with an Omega or two thrown in
Tudor is an awesome brand.
Very good choice.
That clarifies lots of points for the definition of microbrands. Thank you!
Omega and Longines, two of my favorite brands. Great video, Teddy! Congratulations on your new store, too. 🤙🏼
One watch brand to bind them all!
If Goodyear welted footwear is your thing, visit Northampton, England. Footwear that went to the summit of Everest, the poles, were on the feet of Shackleton. Finest men’s footwear on the planet and the factories are amazing places.
I must say that for those new to watch collections, Seiko is the brand to begin with. Then, start to appreciate with other brands as you go along the higher end. Time is of no essence, it’s the journey that matters. A one-watch brand for the rest of life is just a mere theory, not really a practice. Kudos Teddy for another great video. Two-thumbs up!
1 brand is tough I have to say
For me I would choose ALS, Grand Seiko or TagHeuer depending on the finances
Re other collections. I enjoy a good pen, but so far haven’t gone nuts with it. Mostly I collect Fisher space pens, Parker, and Rotring. Nothing over $50 and some even less. I keep 2 or 3 on my desk, 2 in my briefcase, 1 in my car, and one clipped to my checkbook. Pretty much covers all my pen needs. I do the same with pocket knives/multi tools. Incredibly useful to have 3 or 4, but not more. 1 in the car, 1 or 2 at home, 1 in my desk at work, and one small one on my keychain. And mostly I collect Victorinox. Swiss army. I tried luxury ties but found that past a certain threshold, nobody notices, and the expensive ones are actually less functional than mid pried ones. Goodyear welted shoes and boots however, are well worth paying extra money for the comfort, longevity and appearance over cheaper shoes. I haven’t tried luxury denim yet.
It's wonderful to hear Teddy share something about himself, other than watches. He talks with hands movements too ❤
I like the one brand collection list. I would have picked Omega over Rolex but then I discovered GO through your channel and a few others. I would take Glashutte Original over both of them now.
I like Glashutte, but it needs to fit your style. They don't have the lineup a Rolex, Omega or Seiko has. But if it suits your style, great choice!
I wonder how much the white speedy going to cost
One watch for me? Ball. I really want the 43 mm engineer.
I’m in the same boat…on my short list!
If I had the ability I would probably be happy only buying Longines, just gorgeous. Of course then the Omega Railmaster and the Tudor Black Bay 36 would inevitably call out 😅
Picking up my Explorer next week....... but its not at all 'underrated' lol Would not want a YM or AK personally, but each to their own.
Just got my first pair of Naked and Famous Japanese raw denim. Can’t wait to break them in and get some sick fades.
I have several pairs of n&f. But you need to try Oni jeans. Also Sugar cane.
One brand (model) would be Nomos Tangente Blaugold Neomatik.
I think you would enjoy knives. William Henry is a brand to check out.
My favorite is Longines. I have 2 models and I love them.
Rolex Explorer II (white face) or Rolex Oyster Perpetual w/ the gold/silver jubilee bracelet w/ pearl face.
Being honest here, Not a fan of Rolex's design, but the three you mentioned are the ones I actually enjoy the look of. Thank you for bringing more attention to those less popular models
Grand Seiko for me.
Most underrated Rolex IMO is a black dial Explorer II ref 16570. In fact, it's my grail that I'm finally in the position to purchase this year! The explorer I is nice too but the exp II is more functional with the date window and GMT hand
Where do we submit questions for Q&A? I’m really interested in why so few people appreciate a date window, let alone a day-date… I work in shifts, weekends, nightshifts, I really lose track of what day it is and often check it to see how many working days I have left or just to meet up with people but I’ve seen so much comments like ‘why did they have to put a date window on this beautiful dial’ or ‘if it didn’t have a date I’d buy it’
They do have their place, but many date windows are simply too small and/or color matched poorly. And some otherwise beautiful dial designs would just be so much better without these cutouts.
I have found my one watch collection: Tudor Black Bay Pro. Perfect watch for me.
Such a great watch.
I’d love a video breaking down watches with the best quality bracelets at different price ranges! Oh and congrats to the winner! Spend it wisely! 🎉🎉🎉
1 brand of watch would easily be Seiko for me. Outside of watches: guitars, whiskey and aviation are my go to hobby areas at this moment in my life.
The Iron Snail. Michael makes some great clothes videos..
Great response for the enthusiast/collector question Teddy. I consider myself to be an enthusiast, I've gained lot of knowledge reading through Teddy's articles and watching his videos and from research. I own a fossil(bought nearly 10years ago) planning on getting Seiko 5 series but I've helped my friends and family in choosing the right Rolex, PP and seikos as gifts or to add to their collection. "Not every Enthusiast is a collector, Not every Collector is an enthusiast"
@CIickOnProfiIe. Ok scammer, lets discuss here
For everyone sharing the interest in “anything that’s just well made” I want to recommend a series here on KZhead from the German television station SWR, called “Handwerkskunst” (eng.: the art of craftsmanship). In the series a TV team accompanies different craftsmen just doing their job - they had multiple watch related episodes but there’s so much more to get into: from restoring a painting, casting a church bell or traditionally binding a book up to building a Piano. It’s very calmly filmed and super interesting to watch. It’s in German (of course) but they have English subtitles in most of the episodes. Watching this makes you develop a lot of appreciation for so many things that are mostly industrial nowadays but you can rabbit hole into almost anything when it’s made by hand. Really fascinating!
My dady bought one NKUWAN and he loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when he went out with it.
I’m going to agree with you about Seiko being the “One” brand, but I’m going to include Grand Seiko in that “brand” as well. I want to say Tudor, which would probably do if I only wanted a two or three watch collection, but Tudor doesn’t have the range Seiko/Grand Seiko has. Everything from modest to moneyed. Seiko has autos, spring drives, solar, and of course quartz, in a quite frankly dizzying array of styles and dials, and they’re all GOOD.
Technically Credor is under the Seiko umbrella as well.
First watch under 5k things to look out for that was not something I took into consideration properly is size. That it actually fits good I was fixated on a specific watch that is really at the edge of what I can wear. It’s ok the bigger side of what suits my wrist. Still fits but after going from 42mm to 40mm with my second luxury watch. And the 40mm is so much more comfortable for daily wear. Also being that it’s sometimes hard to try on various watches u iight be interested in, because of demand or where you live. So yea be sure to try on some things and be honest with yourself. Sometimes it makes you feel really good that’s some crazy grail expensive watch is actually not even possible for you. So yea thought I would share that. The lug to lug on a 41mm royal oak floats on my wrist but a 36mm vintage royal oak or 37mm fits perfect and I have an average sized wrist. But many would think that 37mm is a woman’s watch etc etc so…
I don’t know if anyone really feels the same but I bought a Dark Side of the Moon and it’s my favorite I’ve bought in decades. So beautiful and has an edge.
my thoughts on the Explorer (as an owner). its not as hyped as the Sub, GMT, or Daytona, sure. but those in the watch community always point out the Explorer as the perfect "one watch collection" to the point where I think its very fairly rated. its almost the obvious and boring choice if your going to have just one watch. love the Explorer, but it certainly does get a lot of hype from those in the community. thoughts?
I like the explorer, but I never understood the resoning. It's basically an Oyster Perpetual with a different dial for more money. There was even an Oyster Perpetual with pretty much the same dial, way cheaper. Same bracelet, case and movement. Weird. Not saying it's not a great watch btw, just to be clear.
@@keesketsers5866 i can understand where your coming from, and i ran into the same thought when looking to buy my "forever watch". the explorer is different though! the links are fully brush as opposed to polished center links on the OP. the clasp is different, on the Explorer you get the professional clasp. and lastly you get more lume in the explorer (and a cooler name in my opinion!)
The fact that I have 3 out of 4 of your suggestions for a 1 brand collection either shows what good taste I have, or how much you have influenced my choices 😂😮😮😅😅😅
King Seiko for me, thanks, the King Seiko's with the 6L movements.
I can imagine having the only watch the Sinn 356 white dial
Rolex Explorer is just perfect. Seiko srpe53 has the similar vibe and that's the reason why i chose it.
Hey Teddy random question what are ur thoughts on the sugess tourbillion blue or non swiss tourbillions in general👀?
Most under rated Rolex is the Explorer 2
The first of my go to watch folks to address the AP issue (one I also submitted). Appreciate the views. I think with RO variant prices the risk is high as they are already dealing with a small section of society (which I am not in, so my views don't matter), whether they can add to that this way I don't know, but we are talking about it.
What is your opinion about the Breitling Endurance Pro? I know you sell them in your store, but sometimes you don’t seem to be the biggest fan of quartz movement that costs 1,000 none the less 3,4K
Always great videos Teddy, just thought I’d let you know I appreciate it. I get to scratch my watch itch without making bad decisions with my bank account. You’re one of the reasons I got my Oris Divers 65. Now saving up again but don’t know if I’ll get something around the same price range (Longines/Tudor) or wait a longer while till i’m comfortable with a luxury purchase. Till then, I’m learning and enjoying your videos. Keep providing great content!
22:14 I think you should definitely try custom mechanical keyboards. And these are some of the content creators that I can recommend: Taeha Types, :3ildcat, Hipyo Tech, Chyrosran22...
Explorer 36mm is so underrated. After buying and selling a few Rolex watches, I landed on Explorer 36mm and Omega Seamaster Diver 300m. I regret selling my moonwatch, so I will get one in the future. But after losing interest in Rolex I have come to know Omega better and their watches are amazing.
Not an AP buyer. Another video Teddy made some comments about why Citizen is sometimes not taken as seriously as maybe Seiko, is because Citizen has such a wide variety of models and styles, that it makes the brand seem gimikey or cheap, even though Citizen tech is fabulous. If AP can avoid that type of reputation, then these branded or collaborative watches will work for them.
Seamaster Diver 300m - Speedmaster Professional - Aqua Terra Worldtimer- Constellation Globemaster -- perfect collection right there
I like the idea of the black panther watch but I think they should’ve gone with Greek gods or mythical hero’s. That would’ve had a lot wider appeal.
