Kiki was a gem, she deserves raise! The rest of them in Chicago couldn’t give a sh*t
Agree she’s awesome!
she was high as a kite too prolly
Agreed, she was great. She deserves a recognition award from her Employer. I hope Simon gave her a small gift as a Thank you for assisting him in the train and answering his questions.
Shitcago is not worth his time to revisit. City is falling apart, like many American Cities.
I couldn't resist singing the part of the Drake song "Kiki do you love me" every time I saw her lmao 🤣🤣
What a lovely lady that Kiki working on that train, bundle of fun even while working so long and sleeping so little
She was nice and such long hours! Also why did he call and an English tea a black tea hahah
@@minecraft20440They're most similar to black tea in the USA
@minecraft20440 its just tea with no milk that's what I think
@@Shooterheaadshotyeah he said in another video he doesn’t take milk, which is fairly rogue
@@minecraft20440 Because in a lot of countries tea can mean all kinds of infusions, which don't contain any actual tea leaves i.e. leaves from tea plants; or green tea, or others like white or yellow tea, which are made with tea leaves, but not fermented until they are black. In Spain it's called te negro, on German it's Schwarztee.
It was an absolute pleasure to play cards with you on the train. Your videos are amazing, and I love your style. Keep it up!
Whoa, is that you. Don't mind me asking which one was you?
The long-haired one dealing the cards, at 30:04. The man at 26:52 is my dad.
Loved hearing the O.G Simon Wilson theme 10:09 seconds in! Really brought back some nostalgia.
Ya whenever I hear that I remember the good old no money series ❤
It brings back some great memories of when I first discovered his gem of a channel
It was a crowd fave in the last video! I was happy to hear it back again too!
Same here 😅
ALLY...... DUM DE DUM....... ALLY. DUM DE DUM. ALLLLLLY DUM DE DUMDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
2 simon wilson vids in 2 days?? I must be dreaming
He owes us from the month he took off😅
Nur der FC Bayern❤️❤️❤️
IKR?
nur die bayern
That same thought for me
That girl working the train was a sweetheart bless her!
No one: Simon: ‘Happy Days’
'There's a delay' 'Happy days that's great thank you'
Hahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fucking creased
"You Do or you dont I need to know!" Happy days
Fair play, absolutely!
Hope you said bye to Kiki 😂
Oh wow, my little Pomeranian name is Kiki too!❤
One of the first things I thought when the Vegas discussion came up.
I'm not the only one that was genuinely upset he didn't say bye to her on video then after all that 😂
Wow Kiki is such a lovely girl. Hope her employers see this vlog and commend on her customer service skills. She was a gem 💎
Amtrak, give that lady a promotion. She is absolutely wonderful!
How nice is Kiki with that positive energy on 4 hours sleep!
yes, but seems a ridiculous work schedule!
@philmoore71 almost draconian!
Should be illegal. I would’ve been looking for a different job.
@@yemalad1. - It's the old slavers' system : get the most out of those lazy employees of yours or they get fired !
Enjoy Amtrak! Always a fun time!
in before this comment blows up. love your videos too!
Two great content creators!
Here comes the OG of trains and flights 😅 commented before the number of likes crossed 5 of GreeenerGrass above 😂
You two should collab some time
"Always a fun time!" I've had plenty of not-fun times on Amtrak. I love travel by train but Amtrak coach is painful for overnight trips and sleeper rooms cost triple or quadruple what you'd pay for first class airfare.
Kiki was great!
Hearing the old theme tune was class! Also, 25:12 "What's up brother" 😂
So, this is my first Simon video, being a longtime subscriber of people like Jeb Brooks and Noel Philips (and a 30 year vet of the travel industry). I'm hooked! He is like a ray of sunshine on a dreary, overcast day! Amtrak exists for appearances sake, nowadays. Most of the delays experienced are due to the fact that freight trains have the right of way on the rails. Having to pull over and let other trains pass (some of which have *_dozens_* of cars) can wreak havoc on a schedule. I live on the old Pennsylvania Railroad line and I've seen trains with as many as 34 cars. I've learned to take Amtrak's arrival and departure times as a wish list, unless it's from a huge city (and even then...). Also, Kiki for CEO!
The woman attending the lounge in Chicago noticed your accent and said "crisps and biscuits" -- what a legend!
I heard this too! Very cool lady
Simon seems like the nicest person on youtube. Would love to stumble across him during his travels. Would be such a story to tell. Lol.
Just need ketchup lol
No doubt you can’t help but love Simon even if you’re not having a good day and run into him!
He really is that friendly and nice to everyone he meets. A great person talk to. Just be ready to walk fast to stay up with him!
Unless a mcdos.. Then relax 🤣@@mdduet
He seems to play dumb and ask stupid quesstions just to talk to people and get content.
As someone who's ridden over 35,000 miles by Amtrak, my favorite part was always sharing a meal with a stranger. Got to hear so many stories and meet so many people!
The HONEY banger made an appearance! What a tune. What a day.
its been a while! lol
Happy days 😄🫶🏼
It's back!!!!
Damn Simon might be the friendliest person ever. Such a positive vibes all the time. Happy days mate
You’ve saved the night thank you for your work mate
I’ve watched a few different KZheadrs do this route over the years, but this was definitely one of the more entertaining videos. Hope you managed to say farewell to Kiambra before leaving the train. She seemed like an absolute bundle of fun!
Kiki was amazing! She works how all employees should, give her a raise!!
Can't get over how nice Kiki on the train was. Service as good as it gets!
Honey.honey is back, I just love it.
I thought it was money lol
What a beautiful and helpful young lady. Makes the long journey that bit more palatable. Hello from Staffordshire by the way!
The music is bacccckkkkk 👏👏👏😜😜😜
That’s a great trip, back in 2004 I did LA to NY via Chicago in the sleeper seat, spent 3 days with a friend In Manhattan and took the train straight back to San Fran, I think it was 3 or 4 nights each time. On the way there we missed our connection in Chicago so they bussed us 90 mins away to a motel. All the other customers were a bit angry at the delay, but after 48 hours without a shower or bed I was in heaven. I remember my 1 month Amtrak unlimited pass was less than $400, I spent at least 10 nights on the train, it was the best trip ever.
Kiki is brilliant! Great customer service agent I've ever seen.
A couple of years ago I took Amtrak from Los Angeles to Seattle, and back it was a fantastic experience! Everyone at Amtrak was amazing. From the minute I arrived at Union Station all the way up to Seattle, everyone I encountered from Amtrak were incredibly kind and helpful. Some of the best customer service I've ever had. They take pride in their work and it shows.
"You think or you know? You gotta know!" Well you piss off too then, sir.
Like, calm down mate 🤣
@@warbyyyy who me or the dude in the video?
He was rude and abrupt, I notice when travelling in US a lot of Americans are like this.
@@G2020- Yup, same for me. Horrible experience at airports.
@@G2020- seems like customer service in the US is so diametric, absolutely no middle ground
That was an amazing video. I'd have stuck to LA, but then I'm not much of a gambler. This world needs more Kiki/Keekee!
The train female worker was lovely so genuine, love from Llandudno
Kiki had so much energy for someone pulling a 48hour shift on 4 hours sleep! 😂
Love it. My dad would never fly and every year we’d take the train to from Philly to Colorado together to see relatives. It’s such a different experience. For the first day, you’re very excited and it’s blast. The next day or two, the novelty wears off and you’re just ready to be there. Lol. But everybody should try a cross country trip on the train. You won’t regret it.
Jesus everyone sounded so negative and in a bad mood in Chicago 🤦 Simon is always a good sport about it as always
You'd be in a bad mood too if you had to live and work in ChiCity 😂
@@noxcure nah that’s no excuse. I was just in Paris and everyone was extremely nice to me. 😂 I’m mainly joking though I’ve had good times in Chicago. For some reason this train station was giving off negative vibes
@@noxcureChicago is amazing! Anyone who talks negatively about it has never lived here, and their hatred steams from jealousy.
@@bingbong9844 Some of the people have a strange attitude and their accent is difficult to understand.
Chicago is kind of a shithole, not really surprising
I absolutely LOVE these observation areas. Cool af with lots to enjoy
simon on a uploading spree!!! love it
"I think I'll be healthy & have the salad" 2mins later - "chocolate cake please" 😅
KIki is a shining star! Looked like such a fun trip.
When I'm travelling I hope I bump into simon 😂😂
love seing the videos, you should take the train from Vancouver BC to Toronto Ontario across Canada, its by far way the best train ride you will ever take
Gotta love a late evening upload from Simon! And he brought back the Honey tune, happy days👌😁
Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!
Bloody bot
If everyone had joy in life, and could easily befriend everyone they meet, like Simon, the world would be a better place.
It's a God's gift...Unfortunately I was born without it and I regret it.
I have missed that JINGLE SO MUCH FOR YEARS NOW! Flipp a burger that was actually exactly music to my ears!
Loved the re-introduction of "Honey" .... yay 😊😊😊
I was thinking that aswell
Simon spoiling us with so many videos in a week 😁😁
Simon finally made it to my city. Chicago that is. Brings a tear to my eye. Safe travels mate.
Any advice for someone that wants to visit Chicago, but also doesn't want to get shot?
@@marcin959 as long as you’re in the downtown area (the bean, mag mile, river walk etc.) you’ll be fine. The crime is largely concentrated on the south and east sides where people don’t generally venture into. Just take caution at night and be aware of your surroundings (this advice goes for many cities to be fair).
@@marcin959I’ve lived around Chicago for 47 years, been in some shady spots I’ve never even heard a gun shot!!
Just don’t join a gang
@@Thatguyjack758 it’s not 2000 anymore, crime is all over cook county except the far north. Carjackings happen in broad daylight on I90 man
Simon, can you please, please, please, do another cross country no money challenge? It’s been a long while and it’s my favorite format of your vids. Great vid by the way!
I’m doing a 57 hour Amtrak from penn state to San Francisco, first time in America by myself (only 18) this has been a massive help mate really appreciate it !!!!
Love an upload from this guy!!
I Love the friendlyness and attitude of the peeps it was so nice
Simon likes “to be honest/fair” a lot😂 He has his integrity💯
Morning smell of coffee in your sleeping car is always the best.
I was just searching to see if you had done this trip before and now you upload it . Perfect timing
Yussss... The og songs back.. Smashing vid seamen.. 🍺🤣
Simon dropping honey song mid video is what we all love to hear
Kiki was great, like this video!
I did this trip, all the way to LA of course, in coach in march. had more than enough space and the best part was that the trip was completely free! probably my most memorable train journey yet and that's saying something since I've been on almost all of Amtrak's east coast routes. very bold of you to spontaneously get off in the middle of Arizona at 2:30am. I would never advise doing that but it sure makes an exciting adventure!
Why wouldn’t you get off at night in the middle of Arizona. It’s quite safe there. Maybe you might miss the train?
@@11buleria safety isn't the issue, the issue is that you could be stranded there for a long time with no concrete plan
@@nathanjiang100 like airports, most train and bus stations have a car rental service nearby, and you can find an uber to a hotel in 80% of this country at 230am. If there's a major train station, there's likely a handful of hotels nearby. That station is a 90 min drive from vegas which is uber-able, and there's 10+ hotels within walking distance(2 miles) per google maps lol.
Looking forward to the vegas vid, interested to see how you are going to get there from where you are at that time of the morning
I was gonna say, it’s not really that close lol
I hope Kiki watches this video and see the good comments about her. Truly a wonderful person
Great watching Simon as always.
Man I hope you come back to Chicago. We get a bad rep. It's honestly a beautiful city.
I liked Chicago. Interesting city, friendly people. The buildings made me feel tiny, but that's not a bad thing! It's been a while though, I need to head back sometime.
Chicago is "a beautiful city" ? lol, good one. 😄
@@wagmiorngmiI’m sure your moms basement is waaay better, that’s why you never leave it…
@@Konglomerant do you like jogging ?
Exciting journey! Loved the insight into train life. Now, Vegas awaits!
Love all videos recently! I actually got to meet you herw in Vegas a couple weeks back. Cheers!
Bro that woman in the station was literally NO help... 'it could be 20 mins it could be an hour...'
I thought the same 😂
I thought the same 😂
At least she was honest
Yeah,rubbish ( garbage)
And he still called her a 'lovely, lovely helpful lady' 😂
Simon you’re a legend 🐐
i never thought i’d be as happy to see an upload absolutely unbelievable scenes
Seeing Simon make friends is one of my favourite pastimes
Literally got this notification while i was going back and watching your no money challenges, looking forward to watching this! 😁
Bet kiki is wondering where simon went
So happy with these rapid video uploads. Thanks for all the content mate👍🏼
Makes me soo happy seeing you in the US!!! I love traveling and this makes me wanna try the train for the first time!!
You never know what you are going to get with Simon Wilson. Let the fate decide where you are going 😁
Here for the consistencyyy
Bucket list trip for me. Thank you so much Simon
this is probably the best amtrak vlog i've seen! i want to do an amtrak trip from here in maryland to the west coast but i just chicken out (i'm such an introvert lol). thank you for posting! would love to see you do a vlog riding the zephyr and/or empire builder one day! ps - i'm sorry chicago wasn't so friendly! lol! i hope you had fun either way :) be safe!
A bit better than the train in Pakistan, wasn't it Simon?
Is crazy how bad is the USA connected with their trains
Our country is huge. It’s not condensed like Europe where towns are so close together. The major US cities have extensive commuter rail networks. But otherwise, nobody is taking a train for 2000 miles when you can fly. It’s not the 1940’s anymore.
The US needs more “public” railways and high speed trains. If i’d be going from Denver to LA, i have to go all the way to La Junta by car to hop on the train. Nobody would ever do that.
@@lucasvanthulthat’s why you fly or drive. Colorado to LA is over 1000 miles and is close to the same as Amsterdam to Madrid. Of course it’s going to take longer in the Us because it’s less urbanized and there are less tracks, it would be stupid to build more tracks when they don’t need to. You could either fly there in a fraction of the time of drive there which saves money and you would also get there faster. The US literally has multiple states that are bigger than any of the European countries.
The lady even called them Crisps for you. very nice.
The legend is back! Please more videos from now on Simon 😃
YESSSSSSSS Si keep them coming I hate it when we have to wait weeks/month🤣 & where is The New Merch ❓ Stay Safe Though Mate
Everyone else to the rude employees: 😡 ***! Simon: These employees are intense 😂😂
Lovely video Simon! You are always so down to earth with everything you do, keep it up!
Really good video, more of an OG style just what I needed
Amtrac will always be delayed because they use the freight tracks. So the freight trains have the priority.
Simon, this is Ricky, your Uber driver from Los Angeles. When will you arrive in LA?
That looked awesome fun. I’d love to do it in the seated section and just spend all the time in the observation deck
Always a good day when Simon drops a video ❤
That woman doesn't like her job anyway 😂
Fair play
Cheers mate, have a good one
It just goes to show when you actually show interest and connect with other people in a positive way you get that back. The confidence solo travelling gives you is life changing, you have to go out of your way to connect with others when solo travelling, many people havnt developed to social skills and confidence that Simon Wilson has.
We travelled from New Delhi to Bangalore on a sleeper train for 42 hours. Economy Class! This train's economy class seems like business class compared to the train we travelled in. One thing is you need an open mind in meeting different people on these long journeys.
Was about to sleep. Sound, thanks Simon!
Me too. And I thought I'd watch last video and go to sleep and then I see this one drop. Couldn't believe it. Two in two days.
The lady for monsters inc really didn’t want to help
Roz from monsters inc That was totally her! The people in union were extremely rude. Just as rude in O’Hare.
Loved every minute of this video. Just a class act you are Simon. Love the sporadic last minute decision to hit Vegas.
Keep more videos coming! We need more positive things in our lives!
I bet that poor girl has never had a passenger ask her so many questions 😂
She probably started to not mind it so much since he was treating her like a real person when that can sometimes be rare in a job like that
Si, You didn't say Goodbye to Kiki? She is such a lovely lady. She helped you out. You should have given her a nice gift as a thank you. Kiki works really hard and deserves recognition from her employer
