How to Make Delicious Whoopie Pies

My Traditional Whoopie Pies are delicious! Chocolate cake tops with a marshmallow frosting… Yum!
For the cake:
- 1 and 1/3 cup all purpose flour (210g)
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (1.5 sticks, room temperature)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup strong coffee
- 1 large egg
For the frosting:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick room temp)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
