I like to think immersive engineering with immersive petrol is a prefect companion for the parasites mod. Nothing like fighting off the horde with automated turrets and a napalm thrower.
The thing about techguns is you need immersive batteries

@@Helix142 More than two, rupter = pod infector, heavy carrier = flood carrier, primitive longarm = flood tank, sim human & villager = combat forms and marauder = flood juggernaut. It was heavily inspired by the Flood but also the thing, it's a mishmash of different alien parasites, it's basically The Flood but with the ability to shapeshift and disguise itself like The thing.

Anyone who has played this mod knows how genuinely terrifying these creatures are. Even when equipped with powerful weaponry, the parasites are extremely difficult to kill because they adapt and become resistant to damage types over time, meaning you need at least 2-5 different types of weapons to kill some of them.

@@shadowsapphire9925 Look into the latest update. There will come a point when they'll become completely immune to a type of damage(purple color flash is a sign of that as it goes from red to yellow to purple accordingly)

I’m excited to see where the story goes next, I really don’t have any clue. but if it involves another grand scale war theme, I suggest HBM nuclear tech as it brings a ton of mass destruction on all levels and is pretty balanced.

@@wisetree8330 it is a lot less laggy then it could be, since unlike a lot other developers, hbm made the explosion actually just remove most entities during its duration and slowly eat up all the blocks which reduces lag
I would love to see the next thing be among us/the thing where someone with the parasite ended up escaping onto the ship and now has to infect and eat everyone and they get more powerful as they eat more people but have a harder and harder time blending in with the crew

I like the fortress defence aspect as well as the action packed setting in this simulation. Very different and unique.
I'd love to see these parasites run amok inside one of the spaceships shown at the beginning, brought about by Parasite spores latching onto the survivors before the planet was glassed from orbit and slowly converting the ship as it goes.
Some of the parasites can mimic their host original apearence so It could happend, I personally would love it

That doesn’t seem very fun considering they already did the 100 days in a ship thing, granted no parasites but still, sounds too similar, too hard, and more. Since the landscape is a lot more limited they probably would not be able to hold out since inevitably the parasites would burrow through most of the ship.

I wonder what it would be like to have actual military soldiers play this mod. Would they be able to manage the base more efficiently and handle the parasites better? Would they be able to maintain order within the survivors? Would be interesting to see.

it feels like the mountain guys got rewarded to abandon the other players at the fortress fighting and just run away to chill at the extraction point, because the mountain guys were more likely to survive if they were already at the extraction point and the other players at the fortress would have to survive countless waves of parasites while the mountain guys just chilled.

I mean, if they were allowed to do that, It means, that no one told everyone else to defend the fortress. They most likely assumed that's the case, so it's on them.
@@Lord1885 Tbf if more people fled the fortress and went to live in the mountains earlier on the fortress might have fallen a day earlier or worse yet on day one at which point the mountain gang and various groups that fled would have been *fucked.*
It was a smart move, the fortress was right on the edge of the infestation the best course of action would've been to relocate to a more secured location.
Respect to those who defended the fortress until their last breath!!! Not like those cowards who hid away, praise all those brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the sake of all of humankind

God I love this. I really wanted to see a scenario like this where yes, there are parasites, but the players also have guns. It gives a sci-fi horror vibe.
I wouldnt have died if you hadnt teleported all of us back to the fort lol. On a similar note, does anyone know why the big spiders can pull you towards them, and with no range limit as well?
The arachnidas have that special ability, they don't have infinite range tho, if that happened, must be a wrong interaction with a mod, we tested and played alot but never saw that bug.

the pods you mentioned are actually called "sacs". They're based on the StarCraft 2 mechanic that Zerg would use to deploy to the battlefield. Hope the term helps for later stuff regarding the scape & run parasites mod!

This was a great experience and a really fun event to go too. My shout outs and heart go to Joshument, Ayscorch, JustSomeGuy, Muddybladez, anybody who was apart of that survivor gang in the mountains. And as a funny Animatronic Bloke once said "I Always Come Back."

4:57 I would have built another wall even farther into the parasite biome... Kinda like how trenches were built in WW1. Three walls would be built, with one wall to act as the "fire trench" which would be far in the parasite biome, a second wall behind the first (the fire wall/trench) to act as the "support trench" and a third wall that acts like the "reserve trench" Since it's Minecraft and presuming these parasite mobs are incapable of range combat, there's no need to make the walls zig-zagging. Doing that would be self-sabotaging yourself...
They could also use the time the third wall would give them to flatten out the land between the other two walls, I'd also send a small team to fortify the extraction point. As well as make a clear and fast path too the point.
Thier is some parasites that have a range attack
I think it would be better to build huge ass flying machine made out of slime block and we hanging there to survive. As long as the machine keep moving forward we will gather some more resources on the way

you're the best civilization youtuber by far, the morale system is genius, the quality of the maps and the story is amazing, and having pvp disabled (less likely to happen) made it much better, i think you should keep it that way, on 0 morale only

Mountain gang had the right idea. They got out of a bad situation quickly, but don't have to worry about encroaching parasites for long, due to the date of rescue arriving rapidly.
funniest part is that if everybody was mountain gang, the worst case scenario would be triggered 😂
They did have the right idea, tho wished they could've done what they've done it later and fewer than sooner as the final deaths from day 2 did more damage than it should've. If the entire group were organized enough, the bridge would be built by day 3 where the parasites have yet to take notice of the mountain gang while the still intact soldiers start to retreat to them, albeit just before evening hits while the much slower parasites try to catch up on the retreating defenders in vain. Though, it might not work as planned as should you die, you respawn back to the fortress
Honestly if I was one of the soldiers I would of been pissed about the people who didn't help during the waves.

OMG this is so epic!!! when the soldiers were firing to the parasites on the mountain peak!!! Love it !!!
i liked how people shut teamed up on few parasites and killed it with extreme difficulty yet they forgot parasites adapt to every damage type (except fire damage)
oh jeez if only we knew that while we were getting massacred then it would have been a lot less stressful.
I think a real interesting server idea is where you combine the create mod, the parasites mod, tinker’s construct and guard villagers to create an apocalyptic survival game.

LAAT/i's, they're some of the best looking dropships I've ever seen. Also, for anyone wondering LAAT is an acronym of Low Altitude Assault Transport and the "i" at the end denotes that it's the Infantry variant (the one typically seen during planetary engagements carrying troops around and being some pretty good air support) while "c" is the Carrier variant that's seen carrying AT-TE's into battle during Attack of the Clones. There's also a Stealth variant (Guess what letter is used to mark it as a Stealth variant) that has a Hyperdrive, a variant specifically for transporting heavy vehicles that aren't the size at least as big as the transport (It's call the LAAT/v,), a variant specifically for Space combat with artificial gravity, two floodlights in place of the ball turrets on the sides, and a pressurized interior, a law enforcement variant known as the LAAT/le Patrol Gunship, and a (currently only Legends/ The Force Unleashed [PSP, PS2, and Wii only]) variant with wings similar to the ARC-170 known as the Multi-Altitude Assault Transport which ditched the two wing mounted ball turrets.

I’m pretty sure none of the players understood how affective the laser rifle is.
The next part should be the parasites got onto the ships and it's like a "the thing" type scenario. Some players are monsters and the goal is to damage the ships and infect them. But it shouldn't be a deceit thing, but more of a seek and extermination type thing that if they fail, the next one could be a normal planet that suffers a parasitic invasion thanks to the infested ship Also, things would have gone a lot better if people worked together better and didn't split up, plus the accidental and purposeful sabotage didn't help either haha.

Tbh I got really pissed at the pillagers, saboteurs and deserters more than the Parasites. I would have made things worse by assigning a hunting party, while a better idea is probably to assign shifts for guards and logistics for survivors and mountain gang to expand a tunnel for the fortress into the mountain.
Super fun with the waves of action with sprinkles of comedy throughout! Great stuff! Keep 'em coming!!

The way that the parasite destroy blocks is based on block durability values which increases as the parasites evolve also parasites flee when they detect magma blocks or lava

i recommend a 100 players vs robot army, where the robot units are limited but expanding, controlled by an ai algorithm every dead robot does hurt the growing force, but it's only a matter of time before it takes over. and slowly overwhelms them, and even if they start killing the robot's resource gathering units, it only slows the growth. the 33 survivors are sent as a reinforcement, but secretly one is infected by a parasite and is acting as the new hivemind node for this planet
God this event was laggy for me, and I just had no ammo by the end of it, at least the combat knife was good. Also it was hella fun I will say that.
this is a really good twist on the civilization series.

Idea for a continuation: Human fleet, in fear that any parasites could survive after bombing, invent spacefaring and take a revenge eventually, decided to call a some kind of a death star and destroy an infested planet completely. Unfortunately, one of the planet's pieces flew off the system. After many years this rock collided with other planet on the edge of colonized world, not only turning it into a wasteland, but also heavily damaging an outpost. Players need to do something with this newly infested planet
Nah they took a page from the old Sith Empire, and blasted the planet with so much turbolaser fire that it was turned into a ball of pure molten slag. Less mess. (Which is literally what the video showed. They pulled a Taris times a hundred.
@@alendonvaldor5808 exactly, in the old EU Taris was destroyed because it was overrun with the Rakghoul plague which was ironically a sith created virus, Darth Malak had Taris obliterated in order to destroy the infestation before it could escape Off-world.

One of the coolest MC videos out there, there needs to be a part 2 or something. I think it would be supercool to have like another factions ship get shot down over the already wore torn planet and release another wave of players with OP af gear, and even more turrets and those players would then have to learn to survive in the ruins from the past video/battle.

Loved the video @Sbeev! Can't wait for the next video man! This was kinda Similar to the Plot Twist that I brought up in the Last Video man! Loved the Ending Animation as well with the LAAT/I Republic Gunships and the BTL-B Y-wing Starfighters coming in to clear the Extraction zone for the Gunships. Little note if they ever come back is that Republic (Later Imperial) Squadrons had 12 Starfighters while Rebel Squadrons had 6 or 8 Starfighters.

Parasites are very intelligent and flexible in any situation, soon they will start conquering the oceans. I'm sure they aren't aliens, what we know is they come from underground, from a huge entity called "the source", we don't know more, they prob have lovecraftian origins, who knows, maybe we discover something soon, parasites will develope magic and will get new challenging troops

As far as better performance goes, maybe you could try parallel server computing? You can have servers that are split into multiple machines, it might help the runtime execute responses more efficiently (if this is run on Node.Js for example, Node is infamous for blocking the thread on requests because JavaScript isn't multi threaded - that may be able to solve your issue) Great video though btw!!

Devs love the flood, so made the parasites similar, the marauder for example is like the flood juggernaut

Really entertaining! Nice and fun. And yea, there’s really no way to stop the server lag even with more RAM and processing power. I experienced this annoyance before

I think it'd have been most efficient to not fight the parasites but to build a sky base and only have to defend against flying ones
It would be cool if the sequel had scavengers coming to the planet and rediscovering the parasites

If the players found out that parasites can adapt to damage sooner they wouldn’t have spent so much ammo and time killing the stronger adapted parasites
I swear this is better than every sci fi anime ever, I love the music put into it, the thrilling cinematic shots, and especially the story, my favorite part was when the ships came in to help and provide backup

i would make a classic tall lava wall, filling the surroundings with lava from the nether or any other underground source, and if i found some stalagmites in a cave make a lava infinite lava generator.
