Just in time for the return of David Brent in "Life on the Road" (February 10 on Netflix), Ricky Gervais steps into the hot seat for the (vegan) wings of death and some scorching questions from First We Feast's Sean Evans.     • Because in normal society you don't just go around saying exactly what you think with no care for anyone else or else you'd end up on youtube like half of Ricky's fans socially isolated because they don't feel they have to adjust themselves for anyone, there's a difference between giving yout genuine opinion and actively seeking to denounce people or belittle them as Ricky's explanation is nothing but a cop out, he does that in his act yeh but he wouldn't dare do that to people in person in everyday life I know he doesn't cos Ive seen him he apologises and holds his tongue etc etc.@@gezzaschannel

    • Watched again April 25, 2022. Ricky's 'Hot Ones' is an episode I return to several times a year. Anyone who gave up early should be given/forced to take a second shot at the title. I put Ricky Gervais at the top of that list.

    • It's a bit more nuanced I think. Ricky is clearly a smart guy, but he's also very full of himself sometimes. If you ever watched the Ricky Gervais show(with Karl) you often find him misunderstanding things and misquoting "scientific" dilemmas and such. He thinks of himself very highly even though the last few years it's gotten a bit less bad.
