A Harley-Davidson's unique 'potato, potato, potato' sound is instantly recognizable...a Deltic sounds like a whole sack of angry potatoes. Love it.
Gotta love the sound of a Deltic, some of the best sounding locos out there! :) Cameron
I think they sound like some sort of futuristic atomic craft from a 50s sci fi movie
Love those old Deltic's, the work horse of UK Railways, and STILL going strong.
I love our clatter box diesels I will always love the 37s, the Deltics, and the Warship. Best sounds hands down.
Love seeing these old engines i grew up with, so iconic
Well filmed compilation, love the sound of a diesel of full song.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed the video :) Diesels at full power are a magnificent sight to see! Cameron
Classic Diesel power 60 years on ❤️love the sound of the Westerns and Warship Class 42 and 52 ,To the Class 55 deltics ,to the 37s and 47s that still to this day operate ❤️ Beautiful sounds ,Also not forgetting the Whistlers to the Sulzer & The Class 50 Hoover's Type Locomotives ❤️Passing through the country too just fabulous 😍😍🥰7:51 Love the sound of the horn coming from the Intercity 125 along with someone playing a toy one also 🤣🤣🤣
Great mix of modern and classic locos. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Mark! :) Cameron
Brilliant filming of some cracking diesels and good sound ! Thanks👍
Thanks David! Gotta love some diesel thrash! :) Cameron
Beautiful production Rail View, an excellent diesel locomotive thrash! There was some great camera work in this too. My favourite loco's were the 47's, 37's and the 20's, they just make an amazing sound as they thunder past... 👍 GWR
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the film! Gotta love 47s, 37s and 20s. They're some of my personal fav diesels. Always enjoyed seeing them very much! :) Cameron

I absolutely love the Warships. Those things just ooze 1950s retro from every rivet.
Thank you for this :)
Noisy, Powerful, Fantastic. I love british diesel locomotives :) Thank you.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! British diesels are certainly amazing beasts, always a pleasure to film them :) Thanks for watching! Cameron
The sound of an IC125 Paxman spooling up always impressed me, never heard a Deltic in person.
Great selection of clips, and well shot. Thank you !
Thank you very much David! :) Cameron
love the sound of those engines and the scenery.
Thank you Rupert! Can't beat the sights and sounds of diesel locos at their best! :) Cameron

Awesome. I've never heard a Western really screaming like that!
Thank you very much Nick :) They sound brilliant don't they, they're very loud in person. They definitely have to be one of the best sounding diesel classes out there, they're certainly one of my favs haha! :) Cameron
Was nice hearing the Deltics under load. Thanks.

Thanks Steve! :) Cameron
Great video, thanks. NSW. Australia.
Thank you Jim! :) Cameron
Hello from the US. Excellent video.......love the various sights and sounds. My favorite was the very first loco......reminds me a lot of our old Alcos
Thank you! The Class 37s (locos at the start of the video) certainly do look like the old Alcos you have in Australia :) Cameron
Superb! Thank you.
Thank you very much Paul, glad you enjoyed it! :) Cameron
Excellent
Thanks very much, Rob :) Cameron
This is amazing. I live in Canada and we used to have many different types of diesels. Alco Fairbanks Morse EMD and so on. Now everything looks the same...BORING.. I need to come over there and relive my childhood. Thanks for letting me know it's possible!
Rob L many of the clips are at Chesterfield which was my old stomping ground and I now live in Toronto, an MP-40 hauling 12 bi-levels cars is reasonably impressive! - nice they included London ON built class 66 loco for you!
Same happening in Australia, we use to have heaps of variety but modern locos are all the same, mostly just quiet boxes with no character. The old engines still in service are so much more interesting. We have early 1950s built locomotives in regular service.
Yeah we still have a few cool engines here including some 1st generation EMD and ALCO but nothing even comes close to the variety you have. When this pendemic is over I'm planning a trip.
Great video mate I really like watching your videos there really cool 😊👍💜💜
Thank you Joff. Glad you enjoyed the video! Cameron
Awesome, I wish I had one of those
Very enjoyable and faultless camera work. Nice to see the old Warships out and about.👌😁
Thank you Stephen! Gotta love Warships :) Cameron
@@RailView_YT .👍🚂
Great set of vids. You are jammy buggers living in or near Chesterfield! The most fun for me was 'Greyhound' with that impressive array of Blood n' Custards!
Thank you very much Colin! Chesterfield is definitely great for diesel variety with Barrow Hill, Toton & Derby to name but a few being close by :) The Warship certainly does look brilliant on the blood n custard Mk1s, especially in the glorious September sunlight :) Cameron
Great video Richard Courtney Adelaide south Australia
Thanks Richard, glad you enjoyed the film! Cameron
Why do especially the passenger trains have two engines, one in each end? Sometimes an electric engine in the front then one two diesels in the back. I think the weirdest example here were the early two passenger cars and a diesel in each end - what was up with thay? If anyone care to explain, I'd be delighted!
Brilliant :-)
Thank you! :) Cameron
Some auto-suggestion happening for me. I'm outside a semi-rural town in Victoria, Australia. There's no traffic around and definitely no trains but, as I'm watching this post I swear I can smell diesel exhaust!
English electric type 4 takes me back to my teens!!
Amazing rail movie! Awesome images with trains! Good work! Thumbs Up & Subscribe All the best from Romania Andrew
Thank you very much Andrew! I'm so honoured that someone from Romania is watching my videos! :) Thank you for liking and subscribing too :) Greetings from the UK! :) Cameron
Very nice video :)
Thanks Simon! Cameron
The red HST reminds when the horn kept playing up on my man's austin allegro
Omg that 50 and 55 😍😅
Do diesels (nearle) always hunt in pairs?
2.20. Yeee haah! Bet the driver was enjoying that.
My favourite British diesels of all time are the HST Valentas and Class 37s.
Awesome choice! They're some of my all time favs :) Cameron
Ick: HST=Glorified DMU But I'm old (skool) But I'll give you the 37
@@ionobelisk A voyager is a "glorified DMU", the HST has given 40+ years of hard work, it's earned it's respect among enthusiasts.
Exellent
Thank you, Stephen glad you enjoyed it! :) Cameron
Beautiful video. Love the Deltics, 22 built and 9 surviving ATM?..cheers
Thank you very much Kev, glad you enjoyed it! 6 Deltics survived into preservation plus the prototype. They're fantastic machines, so unique. Definitely some of the best out there :) Cameron
A Network SouthEast class 50… specifically in the same livery as the VERY old Island Line Class 485 which I believe was Ryde SouthEast correct me if I’m wrong
I live in Victoria Australia and I can’t see why they want to remove loco N class hauled trains on our regional network for what we call VLocity trains when they could order new modern train carriages like the Uk has done
Chesterfield seems a decent place to spot, Can you get platform tickets thanks ex secondman Sheffield.
You don't have to get platform tickets to access the platforms at Chesterfield anymore. It's a great place to see trains :) Cameron
Earth-shaking stuff!!
Thank you John :) The louder the better haha! Cameron
4:34 - Chris Fudge is probably the best name I've ever seen for a train.
I think there was a n 08 or 09 named Dick Hardy, I can't remember which one though
I live near Chesterfield.
That Deltic was faster than me when i was running vs a car
Pardon my ignorance, was the Blackpool Tower train a Deltic?
Blackpool Tower is a Class 37 :) Cameron
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
2 x Deltics, one engine running???
Class 70 at 17:50
2:19 When she is home alone
7:15 Disco & running someone over
WAT NO PEAKS Still good vid thanks
Thanks Mark glad you enjoyed it! :) Unfortunately as of then and is still the case as of now I don't have any Peak footage where they're thrashing but my aim is to get some for the 2nd edition of this compilation along with other diesel classes :) Cameron
Sadly the drs and some of the old BR ones don’t have the proper engines in anymore they use American ge W12’s that’s why they don’t sound as smooth.
I like trains
15:23 Diesel 10s basis.
6:13 whats with the random s stock lol
Apocalypse PG3D delivery for LU
Exceptional filming under various light. A true joy to watch. What camera and tripod are you using?
Thanks Paul! The cameras used in this video are iPhone 6, 7 & 11. The main tripod used in this video is a Miranda Titan tripod, not much but it does get the job done relatively well most of the time without vibration. Some scenes are also filmed on a Manfrotto that I hired from my college :) Cameron
Wellknown as Warship. Classe locomotives IT Works as good as possible ...but i prefer the DELTICS ....IT is the Diesel english famous ONE !!!
I think you found diesel 10
😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👌
Almost looks like diesel 10
Is "thrash" the British equivalent of what north Americans call "run 8"?
Certainly is :) Cameron
yalls trains are short
You can bet these people are parking attendants who wish they did better in life 😂 I’ve worked with these for 18 years and they are the most boring thing ever!!!!
So diesels really are boring
