Uncompensated and compensated (partial or full) arterial blood gas ABG interpretation. This video will demonstrate how to solve partially vs. fully compensated and uncompensated ABGs practice problems.
The method used is the Tic Tac Toe Method.

The tic tac toe method can be used to interpret the arterial blood gas problems you will encounter on nursing lectures exam along with the NCLEX exam. After setting up the ABG problem with the tic tac toe method, you will be able to tell if the disorder is a respiratory or metabolic issue, alkalosis or acidosis, and fully, partially, or uncompensated.
Don't forget to watch the other arterial blood gas videos along with the acid-base imbalance series:

  • Oh my God. I went through years of med school and I never understood it. Exams after exams even after I graduated and I completely gave up in trying to understand this. Even the ROME method never clicked for me. My mom, brother and husband are all doctors...all tried explaining it to me so many times and all never understood why I just don't understand it no matter how hard they tried explaining it. I literally thought there was just something wrong with me that I would never understand ABGs but all of a suddenly I feel like life finally makes sense lol. I finally finally understand ABGs and I can finally solve any ABG problem! I never ever comment on KZhead but seriously....thank you!!!!! THANK YOU!

Your simplified way of explaining those nursing topics really helped me to answer the NCLEX questions. I will surely recommend these videos to my fellow filipino nurses who wants to take the NCLEX also. May you continue to share your talents to those who aspires to become not just a US registered nurse but to other nurse licensure exam as well. Thank you and God bless you nurse Sarah😽
