Introducing the Rival, an optical gaming mouse developed by SteelSeries. Featuring an advanced optical sensor, proprietary switches with a 30 million click lifespan, 16.8 million illumination colors, and an ergonomic design.
Linus? What are you doing here?!
lol
Linus is on his way taking over KZhead. However, with a good cause unlike Bob.
hes selling out obviously.
Twan Slegers who is this "bob" guy?
***** Yeah, *sure* you did
I thought I was at linustechtips o.o
Lol me too
After watching 999 reviews of several mice, I bought Rival, and this is my opinion: Grip fits perfect to my hand, because I have long thin fingers. Palm grip. Feels so good to touch, but like every mouse you forget about that when you are playing so who cares? (for sweaty hands, you'll grab it great with the side rubbers) Cable is soooooooOOOOOOOO long! Color customization is really nice to have, you know it doesn't matter ingame but it's so beautiful! And last but most important, sensor; I did some testing with Quake 3 DeFRaG, angle indicators on "0x,0y", twitching, slowly moving, circles, lines, fast, slow... whatever you do, it gives you a PERFECT, REAL, TRUE, ACCURATE movement, whatever your hand does, the cursor does, 0 acceleration.
+VAN17INO6 why are you saying that like it's so awesome, most optical mice nowadays have 0 acceleration. Seems like you watched too many commercials (aka "reviews") on the internet.
All I have to say is CSGO
see us go
linus is everywhere!!!! gotta love him though. go linus!
I love the Rival, thanks so much for making it!!!!! God Bless :D
Linus, must feel mentally challenging reading off a script everytime you do one of these kinds of videos.
I went to a gaming shop in my town, It was between this and the Death adder. I went with the death adder, the flow in the hand is way better.
Aww I'm sorry for you...Razor is known for there products to crap out within a few months, some though get lucky and end up with a non-defective. I've owned 3 razor mice before my G500 and R.A.T 9 (I still like my G500 the most) there all dead, random USB not recognized which I later found out was its fried and theres nothing you can do about it. Though Razor did send me two replacements free of charge before I gave up but it was a pain in the ass to add insult to injury.
James Wells my last one held itself together 4-5 years before i broke it myself. I really liked it and i have friend who still uses his since 5 year back. the older brands such as razer copperhead,Crater and such was pure shit but the Deatadder is a good quality mouse IMO. G500 is okay but the Madcatz is the worst shit i've ever had since 2 of the keyboards Died and one broke before it died (I'm wasnt bashing on them.. i havent even dropped them) and i had one of the High-end headsets that died after 2 weeks of use, got a new one and it died aswell. So i will never even think about any of the Madcatz, cyborg brand
James Wells "Razor", there's your problem. You've been buying fakes. Lol.
KeiHime013 hahaha xD, do companys even make fake mice and keyboards? ^^
***** Hahah. You'd be surprised. www.overclock.net/t/1324292/warning-fake-deathadders-around
hi, I'm searching for decent mouse for 3D/2D work and gaming, using ancient Gigabyte GM-AC for now which matches my hand really well (relatively big), would this SteelSeries Rival be worthy replacement, or any other recommendations? (I do want wired mouse, big and lightweight without shitload of buttons:))
Really good mouse for people with big hands and with palm/fingertip grip
Linus now works for SS? Wow
there's away to switch dpi w/o the driver? kl
Just picked mine up today and I love it. I used a Razor Naga for several years now so I was kind of scared to switch my mouse from Razor to Steelseries. I hate to say this as a Razor fan but I like this mouse better then my Naga.
I bought myself a razor naga 2014 and it sucks, it laggs sometimes, stops working and I have been very gentle with it... This is no buy if you want to play fps games... Steelseries Rival here I come :)))
Just bought the Rival and compared to my DA 2013, CM Storm Spawn, Ikari Optical, MS Comfort 6000 and G400s. The mouse feels like, it´s something between the DA and G400s. Sensor tracks a bit like the DA 2013,very accurate and smoothe.(Think there is some smoothing) The rubber grips on the sides, is a bit more "soft" than the DA 2013. Better in my opinion for sweaty hands. It takes more force to click the L & R button than all of my other mice. And they kind of clash/collides when you push them at the same time. ( Everytime you ADS and Fire in FPS) Overall all i think its a decent mouse, but not my new favorite. I think SS should do a optival version of the Sensei with the Avago ADNS 3310. (sorry for my bad "Engrish", its not my main language)
Yes which one is the best mouse fron steelseries
guys help please , what's better for small-medium size hands rival or sensei? I play dota 2 and I love to swap between palm and claw grip. I love sensei grip but I am afraid of sides buttons to be hit by accident. on the other hand , I have feeling this rival is big for my hands and I will not feel comfort with it. :(
does it have acceleration out of the box?
I'm VERY pick when it comes to computer mice. This one + the Steelseries gaming pad makes a perfect combination. My gaming desktop lighting is red so it matches the color perfectly well. Only con is that I have an Intel+Nvidia chip rather than all AMD.
+Steelseries I have a SS Sensei MLG which is a great mouse only problem the paint came off the first few months of use then on the 1 year mark the mouse started auto scrolling to the bottom and doesnt stop until i unplug the mouse and replug it, then it starts again after 2-5 minutes, please fix the problems with these expensive mice since all my SS highend mice keep acting up past the 1 year mark, first the xai then the sensei mlg and now my sensei raw, i stopped purchasing the higher end mice since they keep failing just after the warranty period and now only use mice such the rival 100 or kinzu.
Thank you Linus.
Drill came out of no where. Surprised me xD
looks good
Linus is fucking everywhere.
Is there a release date yet?
should i use mouse software while playing or i just turn it off? what differences it makes if i turn off/on the mouse software while playing.(i felt the mouse a bit faster when i turned off the software while playing.using ss rival fanatic edition..engine 3.6.3 software).TIA
+wakao As of what I know with the Corsair CUE software, just turn it off. All settings you changed will be saved until you change them.
i really want to buy this mice but i have few problems 1 ) nonbraided cable 2 ) i find this extremly hard to clean because of side grips and i read some reviews that rubber coating is also getting fingertips after few hours of use am i wrong ?
Diavolo222 if you use mouse bungee braided cable isnt hard to move sides is hard to clean because it has lot of holes and its hard to clean dust from it ( i have mouse with grips like that and thats why im saying )
In terms of how it feels, personally this is my favorite mouse of all time. I don't have huge hands they're actually quite small. I think this suits any hand as my friend has it as well and his hands are very lengthy. Love this mouse, love the grip, love the pad it comes with. For 60 bucks it's 10/10 for me. CS GO/gaming approved, smooth as butter.
Steelseries
they should just bring back the ikari, i tried to replace mine with a mionix naos but it keeps disconnecting and it just doesnt feel as good as my old ikari
Amazing! :D
was in my recommended 4 years later lol
Whats the closest thing to this exact mouse, the comfort is perfect, but mines broken.
This, Mionix Naos 8200 or the Corsair Raptor M45? I like MMOs in particular, but I hate MMO mice. I also play BF4 and other FPS games.
I bought this mouse about 3-4 months ago, because I heard that the Steelseries Sensei color may wear out from the usage. I think I have pretty long fingers (for a teenager) so that's why I changed my Logitech G300 gaming mouse to Rival. The scroll wheel may be a little noisier than normal mouses tend to be, but in my case I got pretty used to it. I don't really know how this "anti-sweat coating" works, but the mouse has a nice feel on it and the sweat dries pretty quickly if you remove your hand from the mouse for a moment. Another good thing in my opinion is the differently rubberized sides of the mouse, because sometimes my hands are sweaty after I have played CS:GO competitive. + When I played CS:GO with my old G300 I couldn't get a good grip because of the sweat and it would almost literally fly out of my hand. (I don't mean that the Logitech G300 is bad mouse, but the Rival was a better choice for my hands) Just to make it sure it is for medium - larger hands mouse, so you wan't to get some kind of an idea of the mouse size.(Because If your hands are for example little bit smaller the side buttons placement may not work so well for you). In conclusion would give this mouse 4,5 /5, because I am quite disturbed that some of the colors in the mouse doesn't look like I imagined them to be .+ (scroll wheel noise) and I don't find the cord distracting. So it is personal preference, whether you want a braided cord or just the normal rubber cord.
Is there any wear on the side of the Rival? I'm thinking about getting it and I really need to know. Thanks :)
Apex 115 Yeah, rubber wore off especially from the left side near the side buttons. Also the "rubber" coating will wear off eventually .
Ok
This mouse is pretty comfortable and overall I like it. My issue is that I find the left and right click to be a bit stiff. Shooter games while using a semi auto gun is pretty obvious. Also mobas like lol where your constantly clicking for movement make its stiffness pretty obvious. If I could take this shape with deathadders click responsiveness I would love it
Would this work on laptops like the MacBook Air?
it´s an usb mouse, it works on anything that has usb 2.0 or 3.0 :)
Where is the braided cable? :(
3:17 PM 7/7/2016 Just bought a Rival 700 today and hooked it up. No issues but I haven't really used it yet. What I didn't know about the mouse until I left the store is its Optical not Laser. Is there a Laser version of this? I noticed by just moving the cursor around on the desktop its slower than what Im use to and I hate messing with the settings. I just turned on the DPI (middle mouse button) and moves a little faster. Its been awhile since I used an Optical mouse is this whats why it feels weird? I like the third mouse button.
Yes but sadly sold separately not the entire mouse i mean just the sensor you can swap it out
use a mousepad and go with a optical sensor, believe me
wow i thought i was watching linustechtips, but turns out this is steelseries' channel! great mouse, i will surely get it to replace my kana (which i love, but sometimes better stuff comes out you know?)
my scroll is not working it can scroll but not on the computer help?
I have sorta small hands but like the ergonomics and LEDs on this. My other option is the FK1. Which do I choose? I play csgo and bf4
I would go for this one, it has RGB lighting, and an optical sensor, as well as some of the better software out there. I have a Sensei, and it's working wonders for me.
The FK1 has the same sensor.
OK, well, assuming you don't mind the cost of either based on your earlier comment, the software and RGB alone should be the selling point. I didn't say that the FK1 doesn't have a sensor, I was merely stating that the Rival has one too, as I definitely prefer Optical over laser. I have the Sensei because my nearby IT supplier didn't have an Rivals. Again, I encourage you to go for the Steelseries.
I totally agree with you, they have some sensor and all you have to care is ergonomics ( I just got one and it's crazy good so comfy) but the better engine the lighting is what zowie doesn't have so yeah XD
katfro ™ The only two things you need to worry about when choosing a mouse is if it's the weight you want and if it feels good in the hand (all new mice are the same in pretty much every other aspect). I've been using the rival for over a year now and it's pretty comfortable (though a bit too heavy for my liking) but I have large hands and this mouse might not be so great for someone with smaller hands. You might want to get the zowie if you have smaller hands but if you really aren't sure then you could try going to a shop and seeing how each of them feel in the hand.
RIVAL THE BEST!
Guys how do i change the color. Please help me i just bought it a while ago. Respect please.
SteelSeries Engine, I have the Sensei but I believe it should be the same, go down to settings and you shall find it there
This feels more lika a commercial than anything else. I guess Linus has to pay the bills just lika everyone else.
LINUS!
Ha. FPS Doug on the poster. Nice touch.
@GloriousUnion I've had mine for over a year now and it still works perfectly. I would recommend not to play baseball with your gaming mouse.
+SteelSeries Currently I'm the unfortunate owner of a Logitech G100s. Which does have all I need in terms of buttons. However. it's extremely lacking when it comes to durability. Certain activities in RuneScape involve a lot of spam clicking. So as you can guess, my LMB started missing after only a few months. I want to switch to SteelSeries but I only need 4 buttons, Left, Right, Scroll & DPS in middle. Can you please recommend one of your mice for me?
+Mike Soda lol I also have G100S and same problem with fking left click :D I'm also considering to buy either Zowie EC2-A or Rival 300 since im in cs go
Well since I'm playing CS:GO only I checked what mice do pro players use and #1 is Zowie EC2-A and Rival 300
Airys Yeah I really hope my Corsair KATAR's buttons last at least 2 years. By that I mean 2 full years before they start failing. I like how Steel Series claims their buttons last 30m+ clicks but the fact that all their mice with this also have side buttons is unacceptable.
I heard new that in January new updated Zowie EC2-A version is coming, different side button mechanism and 16-steep wheel
As well as changed their logo from white to red since they collaborated with BenQ
5:37 PM 7/6/2016 Add 2 more thumb buttons for right handers. I might be buying a new mouse again (I don't know how many I have in the backroom). The middle mouse button is already giving out.
A newer version is also here. The Rival 100
Newer but lower end.
Steel series rival is bae.
How is it suiting you? Any wear on the rubber sides? I'm thinking about getting it and I'm REALLY curious.
Apex 115 Welp, So far, for me the muse is holding up great. There is wear on the rubber but i don't care. It's really precise, and overall i'm really enjoying it. however it's a bit too big for my hands so i'm getting the roccat kone XTD optical. i would reccomend 9/10 (if it were a bit smaller i would rate 10/10)
Ok thanks :). I'm 15 and have average- MAYBE large hands so thats why I'm looking for it. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!
Apex 115 Yep, i forgot to say, iv'e had the mouse for 4 months too, and i'm 14 :)
Apex 115 oh, wait, damnit, i did read SIDES. Yeah the sides are perfect. no wear. the rubberized black though, that's the one with the little smidge. but still. really enjoying it.
Can the led be shut off?
yes
Yay
If you grip your mouse tightly or have a habit of rubbing the side of your mice with your thumb then be aware that the textured rubber does wear out as you use the mouse a lot. The rubber is almost completely smooth in one spot where my thumb rests on the mouse. It is not a big deal but just an fyi
That was fixed in the new releases. If you have an older release, and the rubber is worn out. You can send it back and they will replace it immediately.
+(SBB) Blitz Seems like they did, I don't hav that in mine, but to be honest, I got mine "only" some weeks ago.
Linus!! :D
c'mon? where's the criticism, Linus?
Its the steelseries channel. :( Hopefully he'll post a second video with everything else he didnt talk about.
RedChickenMC There isnt much to critique really. The sensor is basically perfect. The 2 buttons on the sides are in literally the perfect position since your fingers are JUST beneath them rather than other mice ( like the DeathAdder ) that have your fingers almost on top them. The scroll wheel is silent and easy to move and has a little tactile feel on every rotation but it's soft so it's not inconvenient. The switches last ( had it for 1.5 years and play very clicky games and the mouse is just fine ), the clicks feel very good are not too springy and dont make a big clicky noise. The only real complaint is that MAYBE the rubber wears off a tad too fast on the left side? Tho it doesnt bother me one bit but that could be the only thing to nitpick. It's a back to basics more premium mouse at a good price, you can't really say bad stuff about it. The shape is subjective. But since I like the MX518/DeathAdder shapes, I liked this one a lot instantly. Tho I have no problem with Ambidextrous mice.
Diavolo222 can you claw grip this mouse with ease. Is it too heavy or is the weight distrubution in the back annoying. Is it hard to pick up in battle. Can u finger grip as well. My hands are about 20cm
wajahath khan . The mouse is 126g so it's medium weight. From my wrist to my middle fingers I have 19cm and I just completely palm grip it easily. It reminds me of my fav mouse the MX518 so that's good for me. Oh and yes you can claw grip it, I just tried and it seems fine. Weight seems to be more in the middle so it's very balanced, the back and the face are the same in weight almost. It's one of the best mice ever really. I would take this over the DeathAdder anyday. Also the side buttons are in perfect position since you dont even touch them when you dont need them, unlike Adder.
YOU!!!!
Is the new fade csgo mouse better than a razer death adder? Someone pls answer
+Alex Le The deathadder is lighter and a little smaller, plus i heard some reports of it breaking easily.
+AtillaGaming The Deathadder is bigger.
***** idk about you but i have had my razor deathadder for awhile now and it seems fine to me
+Alex Le get the rival fade if you have medium hands if you have large hands get the deathadder. The sensors are about the same and they both have rubber sides . Hope this helped :D
moist memes Thanks! I have a razor deathadder for awhile and it feels great. Thank you
PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE MAKE BRADED CABLE VERSION,if u do i swear illl buy it
so u think they will change their mouse for the purchase of one ._.
no,many people want it
LuminaryChief56HD Why braided cable?
smurfeNn Harder to tangle, last longer.
wildreams I had regular cable Deathadder 3G for over 5 years 12h daily using. Cable started to loose connection, after this time, but not because it wasn't braded, but because i was "playing" with mose hanging it in air and twisting. No branded cover will help you when cable loose connection in inside mouse. Ahh, those kiddos.
Where is the wireless keyboard (Apex) :D
when will the Steel Engine 3 support your flagship wired mouse - SENSEI [classic] ?? why are all the Sensei's besides the classic supported in SteelEngine 3 ??? this is ridiculous, I've been waiting for support for over 2 years now
The Sensei isn't their flagship mouse. And of you had very basic technical understanding, you would understand that not everything is that simple. The software end may be able to support it, but can you say for sure with the hardware end?
linus getting that steelseries mulah
Hahahaha As soon as I saw Linus on a SteelSeries vid thumbnail, instant thought: ker-ching!
FFS Linus. You are everywhere when trying to get some information about a product, and always convince me to get it...
Damn what is Linus doing on steelseries channel back then??
money.
Linus!
Does anyone know if it's comfortable to use?
Ofcourse it's comfortable, It's like Ikari.
I have the Ikari myself so i guess i won't be disapointed.
Yeah you won't be disappointed. Rival is the "Ikari 2" according to SteelSeries.
Umm... you didn't really give competitive gamers any relevant information about this mouse... you talked about frivolous, inconsequential qualities. The sensor is the #1 priority of any gaming mouse. Other important things are shape, LOD, malfunction speed, scroll wheel (can't auto scroll and needs to be close to the front of the mouse), coating/grip, default Hz, cord (can't be too stiff that it effects mouse movement, but can't be flopping around either), correction, etc.. Stop peddling DPI as if higher DPI = better mouse/higher accuracy. Higher DPI means higher sensitivity. The only people who would need DPI over 1000 are people who use multiple monitors or massive (more than 40") monitors. The front of the mouse looks higher than the usual steelseries mice, which is a welcome change. The grips look very nice if they don't wear down. This definitely looks to be an improvement on previous SS mice - none of which I've been able to use so far because of various flaws.
How and the hell do you game at 1000DPI, MMOs? I run just surfing the web at 3500DPI comfortably on a 32" Sensitivity takes time getting used to but once you get used to high DPI you'll understand what its all about.
James Wells You're crazy! You use 6/11 windows sensitivity and uncheck "enhance pointer precision"? Because if not, you're doing it wrong. And if you do use those settings with 3500CPI.... well I don't even know what to say... that's both amazing and incredibly stupid as your accuracy must be absolutely horrible. 400CPI is adequate for almost every single game and it's what over 90% of professionals use. Double that to 800CPI and you're on the high end now. I don't play MMOs, so my experience is with FPS and RTS, but the amount of accuracy you need with RTS should be similar to MMOs. Not to mention that almost every single game has a way to set your sensitivity ingame more accurately than would be possible with a CPI change. EDIT: here are some additional informational links: mousespeed.net/sc2-mouse-optimization www.funender.com/quake/mouse/index.html
James Wells no
***** 1600cpi with EPP off and 6/11? You're nuts. On 400cpi, 1680x1050 desktop it takes me 4 inches of mouse movement to go from one end of my screen to the other. I don't think I've ever seen a mousepad smaller than 4 inches.
MaximilianKohler then u wonder y ur bad at vidyagames olol
Hi Linus!
Anyone use this mouse for cs go? Please write some opinion!
Linus... didnt think you would be here...
I have the mouse for about 6 months now. A nice mouse to use, high precision and slides very lightly on my steelseries mouse pad. The quality of the injected rubber side grips is beyond horrible. 2 loafs of bread hold longer than this sorry excuse for rubber. I wonder how many weeks it will be till my thumb is through the rubber totally.
have to side with you man. mine is worn down so badly ... i got mine roughly 9 months ago, im almost though the whole rubber at the thumb. ive been searching for a video of anyone replacing the sides :P
After almost 10 months of using the Rival, I can tell you that you're pretty much going to go through the entire rubber, that happened to me, and it will start to fade away on the other side of the mouse as well. Pretty terrible quality rubber injection as you've mentioned...
anyone else getting this recomended to them after 7 years??
Me
Dammit why can't it be ambidextrous !!!!!! :)
The two main buttons are too close and can grind on each other. Make a bigger gap between them, and i will buy the Rival V2 too!
Birodalom1 they have never been a problem for me at all. thats not a reason do dismiss the mouse.
shl sid I'm brutalized the inner side of the buttons with a thin filer, and the grinding problem is gone. My son have another Rival, and his mouse is flawless- maybe mine was wrong.
Birodalom1 i would have to use both of my hands to try and make the two buttons grind. i have never came across this problem and never imagined anyone else coming across this problem, but you have, which suck man, and i don't know how. what are any of the other complaints you have with this mouse? i want to know.
+shl sid is this mous good for someone with huge hands as in shrek hands lol
Towelie lol it's are perfect for large hands. it's literally designed for larger hands.
this or g502?? why?
this g502 is overpriced
Dimi. Bet but in my country g502 is 695.000 IDR and SS dota2 edition is around 950.000 IDR if i sale dota2 item so its 750.000 IDR. still better Rival? and rival have a good durable?
ok didnt know that about ur country. But IMOP i think Rival is better. I mean.. 30 million clicks?! come on dude u got give that a try! I already have it and its awesome. It never let me down... Also another cheaper budget mouse G100s just throwing that out there.. :p
Dimi. Bet if i have 12.000 dpi and another one have 6.000 dpi and i setting my all mouse with 500 dpi. did i get better accuracy or precision if i have 12.000 dpi? or its the same accuracy and precision? and if you think which have a deadly precision or accuracy?
Glen Mayo Arbai The DPI doesnt make ur mouse accurate is how fast it moves on the desktop. What determines your accuracy is the sensor of the mouse
Linus :o
To bad the sensor has smoothing which causes input lag so they could advertise higher pointless DPI settings.
Finally a mouse that will fit my hand. The other mices are done for 12 year olds
IS IT RIVAL 100 OR RIVAL 300? HELPPP
+hi hoi This is simply the Rival. The newer model is the Rival 300. On amazon this model is listed as "Original Black"
+swapman6278 Rival and Rival 300 are the same. It's a rename.
+Infinite Zero no, i think they mean with rival the rival 100 and thats an older version of the rival 300
pootis heavy Not older, cheaper and smaller.
LinusRivalTips
wow that actually sounds pretty good apart from the aids cloud and driver shit
Why is Linus in all of the videos I watch
rubber wire? O_O
microsoft 1.1a one love
good mouse but side rubber is just horrible. rival v2 with better rubber grip please.
SteelSeries Sensei Raw/Normal or This? :o
This for comfort, Sensei for performance.
Sensei IF you can afford it / want to pay that much. The sensei is really comfortable, I came from a Razer Deathadder which is really comfortable, the Sensei is ambidextrous and still as if not more comfortable, Onboard settings is great too, Lighting and looks are just a plus.
Sensei is garbage; I've owned two of them and they both have accel and issues changing mouse feet due to poor design (the feet never go on flat and in turn, ruins your mousepad and glide) Zowie FK master race
Dave_ I'm sure you have.
I prefer the rival.
let me buy the fucking thing would you!
Want it so bad ha ha.
че он базарит? нихера не понял
Last longer, pff. I've had mine for 2 months now and its already dying on me.
That's unusual. I've had mine for 8 months no issues :/
+Name Optional Stop Mouse abuse! Donate a dollar, save a mouse!
The design isn't great. It feels weird and is too long. The forward thumb button is also too far forward and can't be reached without stretching awkwardly. The cable should have been braided for the crazy price. There should have been dpi up and down buttons so you could have more than just two different dpi settings. In general this mouse is not at all worth it's ridiculous price. Rather get a second hand deathadder or something.
in AU, $69 for a gaming mouse with these kinds of features is actually really competitive, especially considering that other mice in a similar tier are more expensive. (for example, the M65 is $72, the Taipan is $69 and the Krypton is $76 from MSY). The 2013 Deathadder is very competitively priced at $50 on MSY, however, but it's not the mouse for everyone, especially since I've had issues with stability on razer mice (rocking my hand left and right while clawing with moderate force causes my cursor to move in a diagonal pattern, which occured to me often under real world testing, namely competitive T:A). I havent had that issue on any other brand of mouse, and I've had it on two different razer mice. Then again, different mice suit different people, and for the most part the deathadder just doesn't fit well with me. I'll have to try the Rival out, it looks interesting!
this or sensei ......anyone????????
plzz do comment......
thanks mate..... but do reply when had played some games
***** Any update yet on the Rival? I got a Sensei RAW a couple months ago, but I might sell it if the Rival is good.
TheRaazberry I bought a Rival a week ago, Its so comfortable, if your hand is big, my hand messures around 19/20 cm and it fits perfect. It has a rubber cord, but it's very durable and has that hard feel.. Good luck ;)
I have both. the cable of the sensei got malfuctions that made my pc freeze, mostly because it was braded.. the sensei is a bit smaller and have buttons on the right that you may need to disable depending on your grip, other than that it is a very good mouse. Also the front is more inclined so you might have your finger on your mousepad. The rival makes it easy to have a strong grip and is very accurate. Currently using it at 350cpi and 1.1 sensitivity on cs:go / 4% sens on bf3. I had tracking issues on a mousepad that wasn't fully black but since I use the SS qck no more problems. Hope that helps.
"competitively priced" 60 euros lol
That engine driver still looks slow as shit. Why hasn't SS fixed this shit.
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ giff me 8.1 drivers for sensei
*COUGH* Left handed people. *COUGH*
Do not buy Rival mouse worst mouse ever rubber sides gonna fall apart in 7-10 months get zowie, razzer, something else but not this crap
Well at least the whole mouse won't break like razer mice. And actually can be customized unlike Zowie. Besides, who cares if the stupid rubber falls off? You don't NEED it.
