Nice find for $500. Love Gus in his little fin life jacket. You guys always look like you're really enjoying life.
Nothing like a Chris or Jen video on a Sunday. Always a treat
I 2nd that
Don't forget Gus!
@@Metlupass2 who could ever forget The Gusman??? I'm hoping he has his own T-shirt line soon
@@Metlupass2 so true my fault
Watching you guys is sort of like a reality show without all the drama. I like it. It’s calming.
I fixed many a boat like this with a froze and busted block. Simple patch gets u back in business. That no pressure cooling is the key. Love this one! What a beaut !
and the freeze plug on the back gets blown out and you gotta pull the engine to replace it.
Jennifer moved the shed to a great spot 😊 thanks for sharing today with Gus, and Jennifer ✅
Man that poodle named Rod was the stuff of nightmares 😂
This boat brought back lots of memories as a kid. My parents friend owned a Formula that was from the same vintage/ very similar. Was blue on the bottom instead of the red. His was a 19' cutty cabin, mercruiser/ 350, etc. Only thing different i can see in the hull off the jump is yours doesn't have the larger 'walk-thru' style cabin, as well as no hatch on the cabin, which makes sense since its a smaller one. His boat had these nice teak doors, and a shitter/ nice cushions down in the cabin. $500 is an absolute steal either way Chris! Can't wait to watch this one, and I agree that gel coat should come back to life pretty nicely! Thanks for sharing! 👍
@18:06 - Bro, you should definitely check out that induction heater that Andrew was just using. That thing looks like a real life-saver in bolt removal situations. All the heat of the torch without a flame.
I was thinking the same thing!!
@@davidbryant3532 I don't think anyone claimed it was. It's arrangement in that particular configuration is a novel use of a proven technology which, in my never humble opinion, is worthy of a remark.
The Thunderbird Fomula is a Great Boat. I had the 19.5 foot version. Very well built boat.
I love that he never cusses even when things go wrong
Raised in the correct way by good parents ??
This must be foreshadowing some events…darn it! Why do I read the comment section while watching!!
I do all the cussing for him
Well, he probably does some really great editing.
Good editing!!
Hello Chris and Jen! Your buddy sure did get an awesome deal on that Boat , WOW!!! Nice to see you , Jen and Gus out on the Raven ! LMAO @ Jen "Rocking the boat" , thumbs UP to you guys!! 👍👍
Great video Chris!!! Thanks for the content. Can't believe that deal your buddy got on that boat. Wow!!!! I love the drone shots you throw in almost every video. Very cool!!! And Gus was being his usual awesome little self!!!!
Chris. You have some of the most informational videos on you tube. You have a great channel.
I see people doing this a lot. Vise grips and channel locks grip much better if you rotate the wrench the opposite way you used them. Love you guy's videos !
Enjoy seeing the old boats rescued
What a steal for $500. Had an 18ft years back, lots of teak trim. Great boats. Enjoy your channel.
Hey chris , along with all of your accomplishments and abilities I am always impressed by your drone photography. Been watching you for about a year now. keep up the good work.
Thank you for having Gus decked out with a life jacket. They go down fast. ❤
I love this combination of fixing, then cruising and just you fellers spending time together and taking us with you! Much love and waiting for the next video ❤
It's so cool you live across from me, literally the park you let in from is like directly across form Beverly / Burlington City. You went under the Bristol Bridge, which is a private bridge believe it or not, and the tolls go to help the Vocational School here in Burlington County.. Also that power plant is a main station for PSE&G in NJ. I go past there every day on River Rd. going to Florence to see my mother in law or to work in Burlington. My brother works at The Union something or another part time second job, anyway, it's neat you produce content form my neck of the woods. I talk about you all the time to random people I meet around here.. a few even watch your channel Chris. So cool..
That’s cool, Anthony! So great hearing from people that live so close to us and know a lot of the same places we go to. Happy Sunday!
That's a great-looking boat for 500 bucks. Jen's upholstery came out nice and she has a lovely voice. Keep up the great work guys and the cool videos 👍✌️🇺🇲
Love the way that Formula sits in the water.
YES! Been waiting to another old boat revival!
Great information. I always enjoy the drone footage, the shots of you arriving somewhere as if you have another camera person waiting. The bike ride through the drainage spillway was great. You guys fear no adventure. Excellent episode.
hey KKNH love your videos! The rust when you dropped the lower unit was from the exhaust, if the new plugs show signs of water or rust after a run then change the manifold and riser. merc recommends every 5 years (guidelines i follow for salt water boats). I have seen flushed fresh water 'trailer queens' go for 10-20 years on original exhaust system but better safe than sorry especially if you see big bits of rust in the exhaust bellows or passages in the drive. Please don't reuse that gear oil 😅
You're living the life! Great video as always!! Can't wait to see the new garage finished!
Out of the whole video, i loved the end with the ant story and both of them half cut! this is what its all about. great vid guys! love yas
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
You are killing it with saving these old boats! Love the boat videos! Cute dog too!
Your boat trip cracked me up! River boating is always interesting to me.
you left me with the image of the cartoon flintstones with the dinosaur side of meat that tips the car over when it's served re the ant and it's massive meal for hundreds!! haha. cheers bud thanks for sharing the content.
Those floaters, tho! Looks like some parts of my local waterways, especially Lake Hamilton, Arkansas. The rainy spring stirred everything up!
That was an amazing deal $500 goodness.
Very happy to c you both on here ... keep it up you two
Dude!! That was Puerto Rican music at the end when you arrived at the Doc....I was like how did he make it to Puerto Rico??. Lol....to me it was a Pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the boat rebuild series. You're a cool dude!
It was Puerto Rican Day Bristol. Glad to hear you enjoyed the video
Our Sunday just got a lot better! Thank you Chris
Always a great day with new content!! Thanks guys!!!!!
The 80’s and 90’s Formula boats are super cool and great build. I’m in North Wales UK but there are quite a few here. We had an active importer here in the 90’s and there are some gorgeous examples like the 303’s with twin 454’s and straight through transom exhausts. They sound absolutely awesome!
Awesome video. Love Jen’s singing and rake on that great abba song. Great start to finish as alwas. Keep up the great work you two .
Love these boat revival vids. Big Chur to you from New Zealand 🤙.
The glasswork on these formulas is incredible. Extremely well built boats
The dump truck would be a great video. what a great deal that boat was Nice job 2x 👍
Woo hoo another boat vid !!!!
Love your boat videos Chris. Do you have any boating mishap stories? I have been trying to fix up a bayliner with the 2.3L ford, looks just like the trash liner, and I was trying to tie it up during a storm at the dock and I went to step off the bow and the boat pushed away and I fell in the water and had to swim after the boat and it bumped into another guys boat, but thankfully it didn’t do any damage. Probably most embarrassing moment of my adulthood so far lol. Live and learn.
We know Corey! Haha and we peeped our boat on the Delaware from drone footage! Love watching your videos!
That's cool! And thanks so much for checking the videos out
@ 11:55 " I KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WIT IT,,, IT AIN'T GOT NO GAS IN IT !!! ".......…😂
I remember these boats! They had a unique look. I'm pretty surprised by the build quality. So many of these old boats were thrown together on the cheap.
Love watching your videos makes me feel young again when I had my 84 SeaRay cuddy cabin boat you and Jen make a great couple always stay safe.
Nice boat the interior is great except for the full throttle swivel seat. Great content Chris thanks.
That is one beautiful boat i must say your boat is really coming on and i know once you and jen have finished it will also be a beautiful boat and very reliable lov e your channel ❤
Wow.....that's an incredible deal!! What a nice little boat!!
It was cool meeting you and Jen last weekend at the brewery in Carlisle after the Chrysler show. Hope we can do it again sometime! Keep up the great content! - Evan
Great meeting you to Evan! Hope you had an awesome rest of your trip! Hopefully see you again soon!
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow I did have a great trip, thanks!
Great meeting you too, Evan!
@jennifersugint Thanks Jen! Just subscribed to your channel as well!
That prop is worth what he paid for it!!
Nice boat!! Do you know what size those front tires are on that first gen? I need some new ones for my 89 2wd but finding the stock size is a pain! Thanks!
That is so I cool to get 40+ MPH out of a little gas sipping 4 cyl….what an excellent boat!
Love the videos made me want to get my 1974 fiberform on the water after it being out for 39 years. Got it out and had outdrive issues in the upper unit nothing that can't be fixed lol.
that drain plug at 27:00 is a twist to tighten and loosen they work great
Oh baby a new boat video, some of my favorite content from NNKH, Thanks Chris
Wow.. for 500 bucks holy smokes that thing on the outside is like in showroom condition compared to all the boats I've ever seen. That alpha 1 looks brand new!!! Wow.. I'm just at the beginning so we'll see what's up with the engine, but even still at 500 bucks who cares! edit: yeah man that flooding from up north was nuts.. I live right across from Neshaminy (down a little but still I'm just past Croydon on the NJ side)
glad to see you can use that old fire extinguisher!!! In fire training in the 70's we were told if that is what we had to fight a fire it would be best just to throw the can into the fire and run for your life. I survived!! I love this channel with Jen and Gus
Your ravens comin along nicely....waitin on interior ....
What a score ! Great video. Good score on that boat.
Fortunately that cracked block shaved 2k off the asking price. You could do well flipping boats. Great video.
Nice little boat great work on the restoration.
Score on that boat! But I enjoyed ya'lls day out with the pooch more :)
Thanks Chris , Jen and the adorable Gus..another great video 👍👍👍
My wife and i just luv your channel, such great content, yourself Jen and Gus are fabulous 😎👍👍❤️
Thank you so much for checking the videos out!
When heating a bolt like that or stuck lug nut, after heating, pour some water on it and immediately begin to loosen. The two metals will cool at different rates and it usually comes right out.
That's an old trick! I won't say your age lol
With the machine shop bill, Jenny's is now an 800 dollar boat while he probably has 600 in his by now. But I think the usable cuddy might be worth 200, and the loss of top speed.
Hi people just by chance end viewing this video and to my surprise its end with a music typical from Puerto Rico. It is called a "Seis choreao". Love it.
Absolutely love going up to the Bristol docks for tacos and margs 👌🏼 I come out of hawk island marina though
Awesome video chris and Jen👍 Thankyou guys. My thoughts and prayers are with you both always ❤️🙏👍😊
Thank you, David! ❤
That boat was an absolute steal
my old 1980 fl20 thunderbird with a 350 4bbl did 55 mph all day long!!!same color !! that thing is worth 500 for sure
The three amigos out on the town......Fun video.
I've got a tractor with a Yangdon Y85, bought it in 2008 and still going strong. Serviced regularly and has never missed a beat. That boat was a great find for $500!
Way cool. Both great boat finds for cheap. Amazing shape his was in for the money. Great video as always.
Love the boat vids ! Also again would pay for content like this lol
awesome content guys. keep up the good work!
Cool vids man! I’m currently working on my 24ss formula 89
I noticed the prop on your boat is aluminum! We had the same configuration. My father would take the prop to a shop every year to have the angle of flutes checked, and the flutes recuped. Of course, we would use the boat lots during the year. It did make a big difference in speed, and performance.
love the boat videos! keep it up!
The Raven came out good and your friend's Formula came out nice too you both do a good job with the videos good luck with your adventures and endeavours
Jenn’s video is awesome, some great laughs in there too. 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks!
Well done Jen. Your boat is looking great
Sometimes you find a diamond in the rough. That was a nice boat and trailer. But you and Jen did some great work. Keep on doing what yins are doing
I like the boar content however, what really made me smile is the fact that you are still dailying the Terino. The ford elite is my favorite car of all times.
Excellent video Chris :) , Jen :) , Gus The Dog 🐕 , nice buddy got boat for $500.00 also trailer plus light TLC fix up and on boat lots this year too enjoy! Gus lifejacket so too also plus get know more people pets too!

Another Great Video guys, Both of you are awesome, But together your Amazing ! Love from Northern New Jersey Bro, (Former Philly Boy)
Great vid Chris, love the drone shots!👍🇮🇪
Thanks!
I owned the same boat back in 1984! Although it was the outboard version (with a Johnson 140). Oddly enough, I've seen it recently for sale on CL. Same boat same engine. Lasted a long time!
I love your videos so much. They make my day every time.
Chris make sure you use marvel mystery oil on that boat engine! 😊
That General is badass. Can’t wait to see a video on that.
Lifter tick driving me crazy!
What a great score!! Wish i could find a clean $500 boat like that!
Great video. ❤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I love to hear your lady sing and seeing Gus is always a treat.
