Check out part 1 here! • I Stayed At Every Hote...
HELLO FRIENDS!! In this installment, we continue our exploration of every hotel on the Vegas strip, taking on the 14 hotels on the East side of the Strip. Still big fans, and still providing our thoughts on the room, vibes, and activities at each hotel - again, just in case you need it. We took on everything the strip had to throw at us - heat, celebrity restaurant pasta dishes, serenading gondoliers - until we finally made it to the end. We came, we saw, we stayed - here are the final 14! What do you guys think? Which hotel would you choose?
Also, when we say "Operated Independently" - we mostly mean, not operated by MGM or Caesars!
Also - our prices listed for the rooms include all taxes and resort fees that we paid!

  • As a previous hotel employee, I can explain why the rooms at 42:25 were behind the door. Those are the rooms we used for large parties who want to be able to go between rooms. The extra door can usually be locked to provide extra privacy while the individual room doors can be propped open, allowing the occupants to go between both rooms. We often had parents who stayed in one room while their kids stayed in the other and they liked the extra security :)

    • Can you explain the two rooms with food in the mini fridge? I thought they always checked them, not just for cleanliness, but to charge for items used from the mini bar (and to restock them). (Microwaves would be another place I would check, if fancy hotels even have them in the room.)

      @RLucas3000@RLucas3000 Жыл бұрын
    • @@RLucas3000 I don't really know, but mini bars aren't even stocked that often anymore so maybe they just don't have a reason to check. Recently, I've noticed hotels don't even have a fridge in the room. Maybe that's just a European thing though, idk. Either way, they probably didn't find the sandwich because the fridge wasn't stocked so no reason to check (although they should at least have a look to see if it needs a clean...). The earlier one with fully spoiled food was weirder, seeing as the fridge was stocked and also it obviously hadn't been checked for WAY too long.

For a lunch for two: 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 sodas and a milkshake cost $58 at the Luxor location. Yes, there's inflation, but not that much. In non tourist areas that meal would cost $20-22, in a resort $30-35, but no justification for $58. The franchisee deserves to go out of business, many locals already know the truth!

It just means that they are not taxed on these business expenses in the same way they are taxed on personal expenses, since they're part of operating their business. They still had to pay for these.

    • @@arma2976 You can see from the video that there is so much to do in Vegas, it's not for everyone but if you want live entertainment there will almost certainly be something you enjoy. Definitely lots of food, either high end fancy things, unique food, or cultures that you wouldn't find where you live. Or random attractions, I know you mention going to better one near you, but for a lot of the stuff here there is not better stuff near me lol. Some of the stores are absolutely things in the malls near me, or just really expensive crap, but it's all up to what the individual wants. Now it is pure consumerism I don't think anyone would disagree on that, but most popular tourist vacations are consumerism to the max.

    • @@EpicEthra How much would it cost to go to NYC? LA? Paris? Venice? Rome? London? Sydney? Tokyo? All those places have a lot more things to do than Vegas - and you get to see the real things! In the sense, it is not just malls and gambling. [Those are still not my type of holiday, but if you want to get bored in a ferrish wheel, get stuck in the London Eye at least] Also idk, to me the idea of trying food from different parts of the world, while not being there, is not a holiday goal. Just go to that country... or order food from the local "ethnic" restaurant... Or make it yourself? Idk, I cannot see anything good about extreme consumerism, which is what vegas is. It screams laziness and entitlement - neither of them are good things. The only case where i would get going there is if its so close to home that going to vegas is like going to a slightly far away mall, but still nearby

They've got a whole bunch of cabins, king sized rooms, and full suites in their motel, and each area is balls to the walls THEMED. You wanna feel like Dracula? They got a cabin for that, complete with gothic architecture and a creepy throne on the second floor! In a revolutionary war mood? Stay in the Mansion, where that themed suite has the best view on the second floor. The have a Wizard of Oz room AND a French rococo suite in the motel. Even their non themed rooms are more colorful and visually interesting than every other hotel room I've ever been to in my life put together.
