Scrapping MASSIVE Scrap Copper Haul! How Much?

2022 ж. 13 Қаң.

WOW, this one was HUGE! Not the kind of scrap copper haul you find every day! Its just fun to have so much of it in one place. Let's clean it up and see how much we make scrapping a truckload of copper!
Wire stripper I use: amzn.to/3jrO2iS
The motorized stripper: amzn.to/3y0JMuQ
The wire cutters I like: amzn.to/2T6j3OW
This is the cheaper version: amzn.to/2SwrYsB
And here are those grips I recommend: amzn.to/2QCJmYl
(If you make a purchase on amazon through the links above, a small amount of what amazon makes on the sale is shared with me. It's a great way to help support my channel, at no additional cost to you. Even if you buy something other than my tool recommendations!)

  • My stepdad does HVAC he would bring home scrap copper. He told me I can get half . So I took an hour sorted and prepped it. I made it a 1k run and he got half. $500/ for 2 hours of work ain't bad.

  • My biggest copper haul would be right around 800lbs & also had 200lbs of brass. It all came out of the ceiling of a building that I was involved in remodeling. We think the room use to be medical use 1/2" -1" copper. It was the biggest money amount of around $3100. This is in Tarpon Springs Florida

  • was working as a steamfitter this summer and we were replacing MASSIVE coils from huge air handling units. the coils were about 4ft tall by 12ft long and around 10" thick solid copper! I took a load to the scrap yard one day with what looked like 2 torn apart coils on it and got over $5000 for it! there was atleast 8 coils that size being replaced and a few smaller ones! and this was just one of their jobs that year! safe to say the companies pizza party fund shouldn't dry up too soon hahaha

  • My uncle owns a flat roofing company. You should have seen the loads we used to haul to the yard. We had a steel pile, aluminum pile and copper pile. We used to remove whole HVAC units from the roof all cut into pieces. We did one steel haul alone that was over $1000.

  • I work in garbage industry operating one of those roll off trucks and we also operate 2 transfer stations - my pile in storage unit is (I'm not trying to brag , I showed a friend recently who said "that's impressive " ) more than that, a good year I've been saving it , I come across some pretty often. I've also cashes in at least 2 grand over the last year. Thanks for the video.

I've only hit 4 digits (US$) once on about a year-and-a-half worth of all the copper & brass& lead acid& aluminum I could hoard & load into my truck, and once on an ewaste haul from a thousand PC lot I won. Still managed to barely make any money on the ewaste lot. Profit begins when you buy, not when you sell.
