Yeah I was watching the womens wc yesterday for the memes, i love how a women scores a own goal thats is clearly easily avoidable because they scuffed the kick somehow and commentator goes "its so hard to clear when you are facing your own keeper like that" when the keeper wasnt really block them as long as they booted it in the air like a normal clear 😂

I’m 2007 when I was 15 I was honoured to share the pitch with the US women’s Olympic team in a friendly as they trained for Beijing. The team I played for was a city under 16 team. Before the game we were told that it was a friendly and no contact was allowed. At half time it was 3-0 for my team. A representative for the US women’s team came to our change room during the break. They informed us that we would not exceed a 3 goal lead and that we were to play ‘soft’ defensively which meant no takeaways or challenges. They requested that we allow shots on net and that they wanted the women to score because that’s why the fans came to watch. It was the most painful final half I’ve ever played. They scored 1 on about 6 shots and we ended 3-1. The next year, that team won gold at Beijing. When a group of 16 year old boys can dismantle the best women’s team in the world, clearly there is a difference when it comes to genders in soccer. I haven’t struck a ball or played any organized soccer in a decade. But I’m sure I could walk onto the US women’s national team in a week and be the best player.
But that’s not impressive . Women are very limited about technique even though they are playing to not completed grown men

Meanwhile, the highest paid female player earns 800k a year, which is Alexia Putellas who plays for Barcelona. That's not counting the fact that female footbal clubs use the infrastructure paid and owned by the male clubs, without that they wouldn't even be able to play the sport "profesionally".

Womens football is on the level of 12/13 year old boys football.
And even that is debatable. The top women's teams normally lose to under-15 boys' teams.
Women would smoke 12 year olds. Not 15 years old tho. Puberty is a huge factor. 12 year olds are physically weaker than women, especially trained women. They start to equalize around 14.

@@bigned2345 football clubs in past have been created for sport and fun. Why do you think the women started creating womens teams in the 1970's? ( i'll stick with England ). They wanted to play football , for sport and fun. But they had been banned for 50 years. Thats some great equal rights for you :( So some women started teams up. with no help from any club or FA. Slowly, they grew. 20 years later, there were enough teams around the world to organise a womens world cup , in 1991. Move on another 25 years to 2015 , and womens football has increased in clubs , countries , players and popularity. Still at an amateur level , as the big clubs in each country ignored them. Fortunately , some European countries and clubs took the womens teams under their wings, and helped them , with facilities , training , and travel money. Still amateurs though . The top 4 clubs in England only helped the womens teams in the last 4 years. Imagine being banned for 50 years , then spending another 50 years struggling to get kit to play in , somewhere to play, and the money to travel there. And meanwhile, the top clubs have 50,000 attendance and some of their players are millionaires. Wouldnt YOU be annoyed? Then the Euros arrived. You know the WSL in England has only been professional for less than 2 years? The Euros showed the media, the FA and the prem club owners that there is a big following for the womens game. And more important to the clubs , money to be made :)

I'd like to know " who " is raging. No one that i know of. . It also have less then 50% of fans of male soccer. Its increasing year on year, while the number of male fans stay the same. While female team players often are only from one country. You look at the team sheets for the WSL teams. Less than half are English. So yes, there are transfers around Europe.

Old men . In their 60's. They were chauvinists. Rich businessmen who saw no money to be made from the womens game. No interest in ' helping ' the women at all. So of course there are protests and demands and accusations. And they worked. Now we have the WSL in England , with players earning a decent wage. Not the obscene amount that the men earn, but a respectable living wage. The women still cant play in the big stadiums , because the owners will not let them , even though they can sell out these stadiums. They have to play in smaller training grounds , or on weekday evenings. Still isnt equal , and probably never will be. Mens football is the biggest sport in the world. Women cant take that over. But there is a place alongside the men, there is space for them.

Now every top european country hase a league where the women get paid. Womens football is evolving at a much faster speed than the mens ,but as it gets closer, it will slow down. so they give 5% of their to woman while 95% is for man). The top clubs currently give 2% of their wages to the women. I'll take 5% please :) . Why not give them a small %. There are billions of euros floating around in the mens game. Comparing men's football (Football League First Division 1888-89) with women's football (Women's Super League 2011) is like comparing today's men's football with men's football 100 years ago. It would be more correct to compare a current women's team with a men's team of 1923.
watching this makes me feel very bad about my gender. I am someone who works really hard as a female to try to become a professional soccer player. but I think people will treat me like a joke if I become one. Can I as women not able to play the sport I love just because of my gender or be appreciated as someone who plays the sport. If I could change my gender I would gladly, do it. I wouldn't care if a mans life is harder or not. I just want a chance to be the best in the world for the sport I'm playing. Whenever I click on a match about women's soccer there's always a bunch of hate towards it. Whenever there's a video about mistakes in women's soccer people use it as a way to say women soccer sucks, but when about men it's all a good laugh. I know some women ask for a little too much, but all these comments are lowering my self-esteem being a woman who plays soccer. I know women have large disadvantages in physical aspects because men go through puberty different. Which can lead people to not enjoy women's match as much. I would just like you to at least know women have just as much talented if not more then men but because they are not men lacking the physical benefit it seems as though not. In the end please don't comment such hurtful things about women's soccer because people with a dream about playing soccer as a women can get crushed when reading these comments thinking that it won't be worth it in the end.

I’ve just watched highlights of the world cup qtr finals and overall was quite impressed with the standard. Better than I expected esp the goal keeping which really was a joke not too long ago. Swedens keeper being the best I saw. If viewing figures globally are as low as I’ve heard I’m not sure how the US team can justify their demands but somehow got them from their FA.

Here is the big difference -- men make mistakes, but it is just out of bad luck, it is not because of fundamental lack of coordination. A consequence of this is that it is extremely rare to see a whole comedy of errors in a single play. But in women's football that is the rule, because the reason for it is fundamental lack of skill, coordination and spatial awareness. Three examples just in this video: 4:33 - mistake #1: GK fails to control the ball, opponent's striker gets the ball - mistake #2: opponent striker scuffs the shot and fails to score, but it doesn't end there - mistake #3: defender aimlessly flails around in the air and fails to clear it - tap in on an empty net 5:43 - mistake #1: defenders fails to react to the bounce, leaving the striker one on one with the GK - mistake #2: striker takes a heavy touch precluding the easy goal that was available otherwise; has to cross instead - mistake #3: the other striker then fails to score an empty-net tap-in from 6 yards 6:15 - mistake #1: stupid attempt at a clearance by the GK leaving the net empty - mistake #2: however, the shot taken at it is pathetically weak - mistake #3: GK still fail to make an easy save And so it goes on and on...
