    • @@d33poceanbluw7 that would exactly be the reason he made for a great bad guy. His believed he was doing the right thing for the universe no matter what anyone else thought. Through his will allone could this happen and any sacrifice no matter how dép had to be made to see it through. He recognized most others would not agree with him, but Quill's dedication to doing what he considered right in sacrificing Gamora was impressive to Thaños. Not many could have pulled the trigger. As Thanos was then forced to do to at the temple later. The only problem with Thanos is that his plan was pure lunacy and very short sited in it's approach. I solved it and I am willing to bet had he used my plan everyone would have been much more willing to help him accomplish it.

    • The whole scene was basically a fucked up version of the usual "meet the parents" that couples do, and that was Thanos (or the Dad) accepting and liking the boyfriend by the end of the visit.

    • "Hardest choices require the strongest wills" as he said. Which is why he had a certain respect for Wanda in that last scene after she killed Vision (talking to and comforting her, caressing her hair) and as you said, liked Quill as well for the same reason. He respects strong willed people

    • My theories about the whole thing with the Time Stone and not turning back time are (1) The reality stone would invalidate the spell, and (2) Dr. Strange already knew that the time stone had to go to Wakanda with Thanos to ensure that the one single chance to defeat Thanos comes to fruition and the vanished are returned. I know, it may sound crazy, but it’s the only situations I can think of. Cheers and Happy New Year everyone!

  • Aww yes!! It’s finally here! “And for another, we have a Hulk” Loki used the same line Tony used on him in The Avengers. This and Endgame have a lot of callbacks “No resurrections this time” Thanos made sure we all knew Loki wasn’t coming back “Tony why do you have a flip phone for?” It’s the phone Steve gave to him at the end of Civil War with the letter saying he’d be there to fight if needed “Hey Doc, you wouldn’t happen to be moving your hair would you?” “Not at the moment, no” if you look closely throughout the movie Strange’s hair is constantly just moving even when it shouldn’t be so that line indicates he’s moving it on purpose for some reason Thanos’ lines in this movie are so fucken iconic. They get memed a lot but still they’re some of the coldest lines in CBM history. Which is only fair since he’s one of, if not, the best villain ever “Grimace?” The Grimace was this purple blob that used to be a mascot for McDonald’s way back in the day When Spider-Man meets up with Tony and says it’s his fault he’s there and Tony asks “what did you say?” If you look, Strange’s cloak moves in a way that makes it look like it too just asked the same question. I love these subtle little details Fun fact: the arms in Spider-Man’s suit are called waldos To answer your question, anyone can wield the gauntlet and use it. In the comics Nebula wields it but iirc she doesn’t have the same mental fortitude that Thanos has so it kinda goes haywire Fun fact #2: Dave Batista improvised the “why is Gamora?” Gamora wanted Quill to kill her so Thanos couldn’t extort the info about where the soul stone was from her. No one (aside from Red Skull I guess) knew that it requires a sacrifice Can’t wait for part 2. I’ll be here again to give a lot more random info and trivia about this movie 👉🏻😎👉🏻

    • Wanda wielded the Stones at one point, as well. She used them to cleanse the Universe and give each Avenger what they truly wanted as thanks for saving it. Tony got his parents back (and overcame his alcoholism), Steve got to be with Peggy, Banner achieved inner peace, Peter got Uncle Ben back, so on and so forth. It was essentially the event that soft-rebooted Marvel around... The early 00s? But it ended up getting borked and Wanda had to fix her fixing, which created a rift, IIRC. Also, Wanda is, herself, a Nexus Event. The Scarlet Witch exists across all facets of the Multiverse and is impossible to truly exterminate for that very reason. That becomes an important fact later.

He's a little more complex than some of the villains we've already seen (although the MCU is not known for super complex villains). Enjoy the sadness and despair! LOL just so you know, that burner phone is the one Steve gave him in the envelop with the letter with his apology, and letting know Tony can call any time. :) Steve's number is probably the only one in there, maybe along with like Sam or something?

    @CrazeeAdam@CrazeeAdam Жыл бұрын
    • While you have everything correct, I have to expand that the one big gripe I have with the MCU is the lack of properly fleshing out the villains. It was honestly the most refreshing thing that Marvel did in the original comics. It wasn't until the Bronze Age of the comics the DC started writing compelling villains, and even then, the best versions of that all came from Batman. Harvey being bipolar and self-destructive, Fries trying to save his wife from a debilitating illness (and being canned for it), Bane evolving into a thoughtful, caring person by the time he was fully developed (if you haven't read the Tabula Rasa comics where he becomes a good guy in canon, they're touching, actually)... They borrowed a lot of the beats Kirby and Stan set into motion with the original writings from the golden years of Marvel. They pretty much created Frank Miller, if you think about it.

    • Yeah, whether Thanos is noble in nature is up to interpretation. Many would consider trying to wipe out all of existence a monstrous deed, but some would also say that doing something horrible for a seemingly righteous purpose to avoid something worse - in Thanos' case, wanting to prevent societal collapse caused by overpopulation - could be seen as a noble task.

It was so cool to see Wanda use her incredible powers in hand-to-hand combat, especially since it felt like a payoff from all her training w/ Cap & Black Widow between Age of Ultron & Civil War. 15:38 I'm also glad it was Cap, Widow & Falcon who came to her rescue tbh. Besides Hawkeye & Vision, they're probably the closest thing she has to family: 1) they were her teammates up to the Lagos mission in Civil War 2) they broke her & the others out of the Raft at the end of Civil War

  • When it comes to the time stone, the only way to explain how rewinding time works is to use a metaphor. Think of the reversing time as recording these videos. You have to hit the record button first to film everything. Then later you can rewind if you want to go back to something earlier. If you didn't record, you have no way to go back. So because he didn't have set place in time he could loop back to, he can't go back to see what was happening in the street earlier. Hence before facing Dormammu, he set things up so he can keep looping over and over in time.

Gamora wanted Peter to kill her because she was the only person in the galaxy who knew the location of the Soul Stone. She burned the map, and planned to take it to her grave. She had no idea about the sacrifice requirement to retrieve the Soul Stone. The only one who knew that was Red Skull. Keep in mind Dr. Strange's statement about the 14,000,605 possible outcomes, with them only winning once. Everything Strange did from that point on was to achieve that 1.
