  • Yes, I agree with all you say - again. I was saying after twenty minutes that QPR wanted that game so much more than us - incredible given what was at stake. They turned us over easily and sent us packing empty handed. Given our history in play offs we've always eventually flunked after failing to match the opposition when it mattered most, I'm not hopeful.

    • Agreed. There seems to be a fickleness to LUFC this season that led them to fritter away a dozen or more valuable points. Abject profligacy. Cheers.

  • Good honest feedback, I think when players turn up thinking they have a god given right to play in the Premier league, they are going to get mauled. The championship is a fickle division, glad we are safe Qpr have been much better since Martin cifuentes turned up.

  • QPR fan here - Gruev and Gray against Colback and Field wasn't going to be a fair fight - we had much more experience in the midfield. Scoring 4 goals on such small xG I considered us rather lucky, esp 2 set pieces, we never win big. You lot had a few chances if one goes in at 2-0 its a very different game. All the best the rest of the season.

Everybody from 1 to 11 and manager were very poor. Players need to have a meeting and sort things out urgently otherwise it’s championship football again next year.

  • Paul - no one to blame - shit happens in football and this was our collective shit, had to happen sometime. Its not over .Ipswich win 1 draw 1 lose 1 - 93 points. We beat Soton 93 points - we promoted on goal diff. If not its the playoffs gamble and history means nothing, we can win it. if not, Niners will not sell key players - will balance the books by selling traiterous loanees and hold the Summervilles< Gnontos Rutters etc to their contracts -like they did Gnonto style. The seasons been fun we can do promotion next season after a lot of winning and fun - Bielsa style. Weve been brilliant this season bearing in mind where we were following relegation at the beginning of the season - surpassing any expectations we had. Our performance was sub league 2 level, but its now done and we move on. Never ever lose faith in our beautiful club

    • @@paulbrooker8052 I know the feeling, believe me! It is such a shame that Leeds lost the momentum they had. That is usually enough to get a team promoted from the Championship. Keep the faith in Farke. He’s a good guy and can definitely navigate Leeds through the playoffs.

    • You had to play Joseph as he would press the defence give Rutter more time and space behind him, take the pressure off midfield and defence. Done it with Piroe against Blackburn. On top of that selection bad, tactically bad, substitutions too late, I have lost all faith in this stubborn man, get rid and try and get Corboran, Farke is a liability, oh and what about no improvement in our set pieces all year

  • QPR fan here, not here to rub it in as if given the chance I'd rather be in Leeds position than ours lol. Just some things from my perspective as I agree with near enough everything you've said. I don't understand what Farke's match plan was at all. Let's be honest even though we've improved massively since Marti came in and have a pretty tough defence on paper Leeds have a far better team than us. Every championship fan knows that QPR's main and best attacking outlets are Chair and Willock (Dykes is useless despite scoring). I feel like other fans rate Chair more than we do but he's still a very good player most of the time but for near enough the entire game he wasn't marked and was given acres of space across the pitch. Why Farke didn't have someone man marking him and Willock out of the game is beyond me as that's just basic 101 stuff for any team facing us. It felt like Farke hadn't done any research on our team and was just hoping that Leeds quality in attack would be enough. I don't think it was complacency from Leeds as they looked nervous rather than complacent but the way Leeds were set up played into our game. We're a half decent team now and much improved but the best way to beat us is to mark our 2 best players out of the game, overload the midfield and use trickery and pace to beat our defenders head on. Felt like Farke didnt even bother to do any scouting on our side.

    @Powergenetic@Powergenetic12 күн бұрын
    • Hey great comments bud. To be fair you’ve been way better under your new manager since the turn of the year and fair play for that. The thing that made no sense was Farke has gone from pressing to sitting in a low block the last 2 games and that doesn’t play into our strengths at all. Bamford being injured is a huge miss as his hold up play and occupation of defenders brings in other players. Chair was very good and bossed the show. Add to that our defence has been suspect since the international break (which has killed us) to be fair it’s all very Leedsy lol. Fair play to you on the night you had to fight and you did and you got the points your game plan was right

      @paulbrooker8052@paulbrooker805212 күн бұрын
    • @@paulbrooker8052 Just an all round weird game lol, we're not a high scoring team and if you look at our past results the goals are spread out across the team due to our ineffectiveness up front and teams doubling up on Chair and Willock. Cifuentes has been a right coup for us, we play some nice football and he's saved our season. Compare that to what Ainsworthball was doing and it's night and day, some of the "the boys are trying really hard" games under Gareth still give me nightmares lol. Even so we've struggled to find the net and have had to rely on a very tough defence to grind out wins and most of our goals have been either scrappy or well drilled out pieces rather than individual brilliance like the top sides in the league. Just a weird one that Farke hadn't done his homework but as you said it's all very "Leedsy" to teeter at the final hurdle lol. Going into the game I had no expectation to win, I thought that it'd be a good fight from us but that you'd still win 3-1 as Leeds attacking options are pretty terrifying at this level and have all the hallmarks of turning a team like ours over with their pace and trickery. Fuck knows what Farke was doing tbh, it has to be an intentional tactic of his not to mark Chair. I was at the game and kept mentioning how much space Chair had to my nephew. Even Chairs goal was a trademark goal from him and as a QPR fan I knew he'd score it before he even took the shot as your defenders were giving him far too much space. As for Chair though as I know Leeds have been linked with him in the past and your fans seem to really rate him I don't know how well he'd fit into your system. He's a bit of a highlight reel tbh and I think his small size helps people to rate him better than he actually is, it's like a "wow he's really good even though he's so small" kind of deal. Guy is a ball hogger who doesn't have a good cross on him. I know we scored from his corner but his set pieces are normally terrible, he's also very one footed and a bit of a one trick pony when it comes to shooting as we saw against you guys. Hard worker though but not the greatest at taking people on most of the time. Certainly not a premier league player and at his age likely never will be, he's probably more of a playoff level player. Very happy to have him of course but Willock in a free role would suit Leeds far more than Chair would imo and Willock is out of contract in the summer. That being said, if Leeds want to offer us a couple of Fredo's for Dykes I'll drive him up there myself!

  • Can't believe what I just watched, the complete definition of a 'bottle job' the whole team were abysmal and Farke has a lot to answer for, it was obvious that changes were needed very early in the game and he did nothing at half time, Piroe ffs ? I've seen more movement in Madam Tussauds !.

  • Tactically wrong yet again it's happened 4 to 5 times this season against lesser teams. Having said that it was the worst display of the season 5 shots on target and they scored 4 goals which hasn't happened all season for them. We didn't expect to be this close let's face it. See what happens if Ipswich lose the next two

  • Gruev was abysmal as was Piroe. And: Why blame Summerville - a young player who has carried us through the season in big parts - for the defeat? It is the more experienced players who should be leading the young players. The prime suspect is Farke though. Was he actually taking the piss bringing Geldhardt on for 5 minutes being 0:4 down?! A blatant insult towards the player, fans AND himself!

  • Well, that was brutal. We've had glimpses of Piroe's quality (yes, granted, not enough of 'em) but it seemed like using a spanner to do a hammer's work tonight. And I'm tired of the Wee Willy/One-Trick-Pony tandem and their hotdog antics -- simply not the stout players that LUFC needs to prevail in the Prem. Does anyone know how Joffy earned a permanent seat in the LUFC dog house? Going down the stretch in 2021-22 he was notable for conjuring-up last minute goals and assists out of absolutely nothing (a rare quality). Creativity and pace up front are the ways to avoid being so darn predictable that even QPR (currently tied for 15th on 53 pts) can smother us. Credit to the Foxes for getting over the line first. Cheers.

We were leaking goals, now our defence is top 6 or better. Our recent form is way better than Leeds. I was a Leeds fan since 1972 cup final, Madeley my all time hero. They were my 1st team from 72 till 83 when I went to my first game at Loftus Rd. They will always be in my heart and they're the result I look for after ours . I desperately hope they make it.

Anyway I’ll tell you like it is your boy Farke has and is dragging this team down with his lack of tactics and his archaic managerial style. We were found out when the second half of the season kicked in. Check my messages from before Christmas, you can’t play the same 11 forever it physically destroys a team and more damagingly psychologically destroys your fringe players, who need if you want to win a league of this length. And your team selection should be on meritocracy not a players wage bill. Where do we go from here Farke needs to go Bamford and Piroe if they stay don’t come on the pitch before Joseph ever.
