Wow! I've watched a lot of long winded videos. Yours was to the point, short and very informative. The simple using the non cutting part of the blade as I guide 🤯 so simple. Great video
Thanks soo much for the feedback
Gotta be an Engine guy with that glorious stache! Your videos are getting really awesome!
Haha Engine guy right here. Thanks for the kind words and support.
Thanks, I need basic advice, so much on the internet is more complex than I’m ready for.
Very true
Looks great. I can't wait to try it.
Cool how some planning and time on a piece of leather turns out some good looking work!

I get so excited when I see my inbox full and find out you have another video out. Idk if your interested in requests, but I would love to see a video of you making a wallet from beginning to end. Pockets and everything. If you don’t that’s cool, I love all of your videos. Thanks dude, hope the new kiddo is doing well.
I plan to in the future. I have a few build videos I'm planning to do before a wallet, but it is definitely on the list. Thanks soo much for the support and the new baby is doing great.
I second that! Would love to see the finished product. Actually watched this to get inspiration for another project! Gotta love the leather community! - 801 Leatherworks
Simple but makes a great statement on the project.
Very true. Endless possibilities
OLD LEATHER SMITH here, I did something similar 4 a client, the one difference is I put small stars instead, great job. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

Awesome. Ya. Its been a crazy few months. Got covid, then a upper respiratory infection, then my dad passed away. Not much time for videos. Hoping to get back at it soon.
@@AttackLineLeather prayers and my condolences for your loss. I hope your feeling better from the covud stuff. I'm just getting over it too.
Good stuff.
Thank you
Great videos man. What Oz Herman leather do you use for a wallet? And do you use that same weight on your inside panels etc? Awesome work or enjoy watching your videos..
Thanks for the support. I use 5/6oz for the main body and 3/4oz for the interiors
I learned a ton from this video. Thank you for sharing this. I do appreciate it. One bit of feedback for future videos. While demoing pulling lines with the swivel knife there are some odd unfocused unpleasant blur in some frames. Maybe shorten the duration?
Thanks for the feedback
Hi!! This is beautiful work and a cool design! I am just wondering if you could bevel the cross hatch or do something to make it look more like upholstery, where the diamonds look raised up? Thanks!! 😊
Absolutely. I have a video on that called Basket weave
@@AttackLineLeather Awesome! Loved that video too 😊 would you recommend doing all of the cuts and bevelling, then for more of an upholstery look having a seeder/Starburst tool combo for the corners (I guess the intersections where the lines meet)? Or does the bevelling technique really only look good with the basketweave?
@@kimhill8588 it's really personal preference. Its great to practice on scrap leather to see what works and what doesn't.
How wide is your ruler?
So you are using the swivel knife to mark the border lines, is that correct?
I use calipers to mark the borders and the swivel knife to cut them in.
Nice video. Will you please tell me the exact model of your large beveler mentioned at 4:15 ?
I used a B198. I believe i got that from either hobby lobby or tandy leather
@@AttackLineLeather Thanks a lot
I see you use a bigger barrel on your swivel knife than other people. I want to order a better swivel knife than the one that came in my Tandy kit. Why did you choose a bigger barrel?
I use the larger size because it it easier on my hands when I do a ton of swivel knife work. I have medium to larger hands and I have found it helps. I started with that same swivel knife you have. Check out the Craftool pro or barry king swivel knives in the larger barrel size
What ounce leather can you use for this process?
I would use 3oz and up. If you do use thinner leather be sure not to cut through with the swivel knife.
I like that patter, Austin. You a hoseman down there?
Thank you. Yessir going on 8 yrs
Attack Line Leather Awesome. I was a Captain in Amarillo. Stay safe and keep up the good work.
@@CaptainTwitchy you too sir
Where can I get a ruler like that one ☝🏻???
I found this one at hobby lobby. They have a vast array of different size rulers.
Attack Line Leather thank you very much for the reply !!!!! Love your work
