  • Came here thanks to Scary Interesting's recommendation. I, for one, love the atmosphere and the build-up. Not everything needs to be a goddamn action movie. The way we get to know the characters alongside the slowly rising feeling of dread thanks to all the small hints and details is great.

    • Thank you for your kind words! We believe that horror comes from the upset on the normal, and establishing a norm plays a big part in having the horror hit home later on.

    • @FoolScholarProductions I just now discovered this, also from Scary Interesting. This is SO good already. The pacing and tension build-up is "very expert"! Secretly, I am hoping the point of their mission is to pwn flat-earthers with the data they're there to recover.

  • I can't remember how I came across this podcast. But I binged it on a road trip and even though it took it's time to build, I actually realized I was sleeping with my blanket covering my head the night I finished it. A series that can get to me like that without using jumpscares is much better written than people might give it credit for! Special thanks to Graham for making us Canadians sound creepy instead of nice and Noofie

  • This tickles my urge for horror set in isolation just the right way. This feels a lot like the setting up in Alien (1984), or john carpenter's "The Thing".

What a fun subscription. Keep up the good work! And thank you for no ads in between, although I wouldn’t mind ads put in the start, just so you guys make a bit more money. :)

The voices of each character. Is amazing! The jokes that were said were absolutely hilarious. The sound effects make u feel like your there. I can picture it in my head. Not every podcast or books for that matter can give u that effect. Very talented and very entertaining!

  • This Graham character has an extremely weird and creepy voice, unnatural indeed, unlike the others who speak normally. Being cut off from the outside world in the Arctic circle with a creep like him would send shivers down my spine and find me reaching for some kind of weapon, just in case. Apart from that aspect I am really enjoying this story up to now.

I’m so freaked out with air pods on that when my son came up to me in the kitchen and touched my shoulder I literally jumped and screamed. Wow I’m only on episode 2 and I’m loving this. • My ratings Voice actors: 9 Sound effects: 10 Sound quality: 9.5 Story: 2.5 So far it's 40 minutes of build-up and I'm bored. I'll listen to the 3rd installment only because I was told I have to listen to the first 3 at least, but if it doesn't pick up, I'm out. Also, that guy is obviously trying to sound like Batman.

    @BeverlyHighland@BeverlyHighland5 жыл бұрын
    • Hi Beverly, Thanks for listening. Sorry to hear that you aren't enjoying the story so far. The White Vault is a slow-burn horror story, so we take some time setting up the characters, setting, and tension. We totally understand if it's not the story for you, though! Also, our actor for Graham does often get that 'Batman' feel, but we can assure you that it's his normal speaking voice. You can hear it in the bonus interviews on our RSS feed, as well as in the role-playing podcast Dark Dice. He's just got a gruff voice. It's not for everyone, but we love it. If you decide to stop listening and would like recommendations for podcasts with a faster build, let us know! Otherwise, we hope you keep listening and give our first season a chance.

    • @@FoolScholarProductions thank you for the reply. I just finished the 4th episode and am a bit more intrigued. I plan on listening to more. Recommendations for others would be welcome as the more the merrier. Although I'm hooked on the show now, I would prefer to stay away from slower kinds. I listen to these while I'm working and I'm not at a desk job, so I can't pay attention to detailed build-ups. I have to pause a lot and I tend to miss details.

Also, try The Phenomenon for a sci-fi horror, and if you want a more light hearted show, we enjoy the fantasy comedy of Alba Salix and the British humor of Wooden Overcoats.
