I've worked 5-6 years of my career where I cannot take a moment of personal time during business hours without literally signing out. But most of the career I could do something like sign checks, etc. at my desk.
He was a businessman prior to becoming President, so ofcourse he had prior commitment/responsibility as businessman Trump that he has to carry out even during his presidency. Kinda like if you're a parent/husband you don't abandon those responsibilities when you're the President

Having her on the stand will give them more grounds for an appeal based on how prejudicial her testimony would be. Trump said that while as president he would pass over his business activities to someone else so as avoid all conflict of interest.

I tried the accident/mistake defense and the judge did not allow the case law to the jury. So, as far as the jury was concerned, there was no law behind the accident and mistakes arguments and evidence. So, they ignored it. The judge has a lot of control in criminal proceedings.

I disagree. I don’t think there’s anyway in which this makes him look like he didn’t know what was going on. He had already made the decision to pay this and to try to hide it. He didn’t revisit that every time he signed a check big deal.

Amazing defense. While I was president, it was too chaotic in the Oval Office for me to pay attention to the monthly $35,000 checks I signed. That should be his new campaign slogan -- Re-elect Trump. He was overwhelmed the last time.

What he paid attention to as President (bullet point briefs) is irrelevant to the case. What matters is did he follow HIS money in Trump Org prior to the election, and did he pay Stormy through Coen to keep her quiet in order to affect the outcome of the election.

He is trying to say that he did not pay attention to signing a cheque for $420,000 (Not $130,000) - he was paid a bonus for sorting out Stormy. Struggling to understand how he would not review that amount. However, he did KNOW what it was for.

I have been in companies where signing the checks was something that I was delegated to make sure it was correct to have payment. Then I presented to my boss to be signed. Because the job of verifying the checks and amounts was time consuming she delegated to me and trusted that I would make sure all things were correct. This is not a rare occurence as many large companies do this.
