I don't usually like arrogant footballers, but there's something different about Zlatan. He seems to say really arrogant things about himself but in a tongue n' cheek kind of way. He performs the cameras in the same way that he performs on the pitch, with style and confidence. I really hope he comes to the premiership, and as a Tottenham fan, I'd love to see him in a Spurs shirt.

So that makes him automatically better than Ronaldo just because his ability is natural? Even god-give gifts need a lot of practice, too. Bascially you're saying that people with god-given gifts are better than those who work hard to achieve their goals which is funny and dumb at the same time. If "god-given talents" are way better than people who are working hard then nobody should play football anymore, nobody should have training too. Let's just look for god-given people instead, and ignore those people who work their ass off to get where other people were/are. People are too blinded by Messi and/or Ronaldo. Messi won a trophy for "Best player of the tournament" in the World Cup - that is plain ridiculous. Germanys goalkeeper (as example) was truly more than just "the" best goalie in the tournament, yet FIFA is always handing their awards to their personal favorite. It's always Messi or Ronaldo which is unilaterally. I'm not too fond about them, but i respect their skills. There also, the effort is equal, but more talented ones move to major league. All the major leaguers are hardworking professionals, but not everyone is Messi or Ronaldo. Sure luck is a factor, but it's a very minor factor.

Interesting what he says: Messi is natural and Ronaldo is a trained product. Both types have their advantages. Compare them to James Hunt and Niki Lauda: -> Hunt was pure talent and on a good day unbeatable. -> Lauda was the working machine who improved himself wherever he could (studied racing-car-mechanic, always took perfect care of himself and so on) People always seem to find natural talent more attractive than accomplishment by training but I really believe that when 2 players are evenly good - the hard worker will go on for longer. He will find ways to improve because improving is what they are good at.. it is what they made their real talent. And when the game (or the league) changes they are able to adapt. Thats the reason I prefer Ronaldo over Messi.

Like last season, we saw his amazing improved passing ability, this season it's free kicks. Whereas ronaldo is just keeping up his physique hitting the gym etc. But he's almost the same type of player he was before- a good and complete goal scorer. I think people overlook the hard work messi do because he looks natural and is not as muscular as ronaldo. It's not easy to keep up his level for all this year. Hard work in football also means improving your footballing abilities

Interesting what he says: Messi is natural and Ronaldo is a trained product. Both types have their advantages. Compare them to James Hunt and Niki Lauda: -> Hunt was pure talent and on a good day unbeatable. -> Lauda was the working machine who improved himself wherever he could (studied racing-car-mechanic, always took perfect care of himself and so on) People always seem to find natural talent more attractive than accomplishment by training but I really believe that when 2 players are evenly good - the hard worker will go on for longer. He will find ways to improve because improving is what they are good at.. it is what they made their real talent. And when the game (or the league) changes they are able to adapt. Thats the reason I prefer Ronaldo over Messi.
+Threepwoot I think messi has done the real improvement in his game. He's improving different things of his game every season, adding new dimensions. Like last season, we saw his amazing improved passing ability, this season it's free kicks. Whereas ronaldo is just keeping up his physique hitting the gym etc. But he's almost the same type of player he was before- a good and complete goal scorer. I think people overlook the hard work messi do because he looks natural and is not as muscular as ronaldo. It's not easy to keep up his level for all this year. Hard work in football also means improving your footballing abilities

Its really hard to draw the line on who is the better player. Although it is easy to say Messi, you cant overlook the fact that he is yet to prove himself outside of Barcelona were as Rolando has. That brings on a whole other mental and physical aspect of strength and skill. They are equal in my eyes.
