Whatever the "it" factor is, Jodie definitely has it. There's just something so magnetic about her personality both in how she portrays Villanelle, and in her own personal interviews as well. It seems almost everyone who's seen her has fallen in love with her.
An absolutely brilliant actress, yet you never catch her "acting"; she's totally natural and visceral. Plus I've never seen someone more charismatic. Or endearing. Oh what the hell, I'll say it: adorable. She's truly mesmerizing.
It's a crime she didnt win more awards for killing eve. I hope she goes on to big Hollywood films and Oscar's. She deserves it

Anyone who can play a character like Villanelle, and get you to fall in love with the character, even though she was a sociopathic killer, shows Jodie has absolutely amazing ability. And she comes across as a really lovely lass too. She deserves every success in the future.
Jodie is so powerful and talented . She knows her worth . This hits different now that she is doing Prima Facie. Jodie is in her own league. A monumental performer . We are so blessed to have her and see her growing. I'm so proud of her . Way to go, Jo! ❤️❤️
It's really fascinating watching videos like this. Jodie did this video about not getting disheartened and after White Princess, she got a small role in England is Mine. But would then go on the longest rejection streak of her professional life. She went 7 months without working when Killing Eve came along. Now she's a Bafta-winning, Emmy nominated actress who just finished shooting a big blockbuster with Ryan Reynolds.
Huh, I didn't know that. Do you know where Doctor Foster fits into that timeline, out of interest? I remember watching her in the second season late in 2017 (not knowing or even particularly caring who she was at the time), and then recognising her face several months later and thinking "OMG is that the Doctor Foster girl??" as Killing Eve started to gain a massive fanbase on social media.
@@chocolatepoodle6028 Talked about it on the one shot podcast which is a must listen for jodie fans. The second series of Doctor Foster aired Sept 2017 - Oct 2017. But it was filmed starting Sep 2016. There's always a lag between filming and airing.

Now 2 years later she’s a 2x BAFTA winner, and Emmy winner, just finished one of the highest rated performances on the West End, and is going to Broadway next year. Like she always says, what is meant for you will not pass you. She’s going places.
I'M beyond glad that she is out to the world because of killing eve because I honestly think that her acting alone is what makes the show so bloody intriguing. Sandra and Fiona and everyone else were amazing as well but there is a good reason why we are so obsessed with Villanelle. If this girl doesn't win a couple of awards this year, the system is RIGGED Y'ALL. RIGGED. GIVE HER ALL THE AWARDS.
@@crt1848 I cannot discuss the fairness of other POC receiving the award, since I am quite ignorant regarding what's going on in award ceremonies. But I personally think that Jodie has a better claim to winning than Sandra does, speaking as an Asian person myself....

Therese Catalano I think she's waaaay better than Streep. For me, Streep is a very intellectual actress and her performances seem like very good impersonations. But with Jodie it doesn't feel as if she's acting, she's just being. She's one of a kind excellent. And gorgeous.👏 👏 👏
