Finding Abandoned Project Cars in a Junkyard

Exploring junkyards is always fun. But it always saddens me to see project cars abandoned and left rot. Many of these project cars had very minor issues. Whether it be a Fast and Furious style Mitsubishi Eclipse, an Acura Integra, or a 300zx, its still very sad to see it left to rot.

Man the sight of the Eclipse in those conditions hurts my soul. I love those 2nd gen cars
I saw a F&F replica in a junkyard rotting away. Paint was good, bodykit good, body itself good. It was just sitting their, poor car
@@Alex-vz2jz That seems to always be the case. 9 out of 10 2nd gen Eclipses you see in junkyards are F&F Replicas, which is a shame one because they're amazing cars if kept clean and unmolested yet at the same time it doesn't surprise me that most of the Eclipses that meet this fate is either due to rust, blown engines due to the owners being absolutely negligent for most of the time or unfinished projects that somehow failed. But for the few that i've seen over the years they have good parts for use as long rust hasn't already destroyed it.
@@Alex-vz2jz get the body kit and make some money
@@pablodelgado7919 I agree. People should take care of those cars more cause it's rare. Mine is still pristine with my Evo 5 and 2 Door pajero
@@zenithindaevo8261 exactly, take good care of your car and give it the proper maintenance and it will reward you greatly at the end of the day.
I absolutely love the junkyard videos please keep em goin
Yeah I agree bro
remember boys whenever you see a blue fairlady z with a engine in perfect condition in a junk yard YOU DO NOT MESS WITH IT!g
Explain
Devil z
But it's already under my name
@@jack0846 That would most likely mean something is wrong with the engine if it is just a "perfectly good" engine sitting in a junkyard
@@bfs99x38nah its a reference to an anime about cars (wangan midnight or sum like that) with a haunted fairlady Z
Going to say it again, I love these videos! I got hooked watching the 240sx rebuild, but really enjoy these junkyard videos!
Just want to say that I really respect your approach to sponsors, showing off products with genuinely practical use cases for your audience and clearly endorsing things that you can and will utilise. These videos as of late have been absolutely fascinating and I've learnt SO much about cars in general from you, which has made maintaining my recent miata purchase a lot easier than it ever would have been. As always, keep up the awesome content and thank you!
Thanks man! Means alot. I enjoy filming and editing these unique products. My thought process with accepting and promoting sponsors is: 'if I won't use it, I won't promote it' I would rather maintain a positive reputation than accept all of the sponsors that come my way just for the money, ya know? Thanks for sticking around man
My uncle has that car with the same bumper
Hello from Germany, you give me the motivation to do something on my car every day. Even if the weather is bad here, your videos keep me entertained. :)
Love the junkyard videos! Would love to know the backstories from some of the more interesting cars in there, why they ended up there, if only cars could speak eh… Junkyards are called scrapyards over here in the UK, sadly with ever increasing health and safety rules the days of wandering around picking parts yourself are mostly long gone, you have to ask at the counter for what you want and only if it’s worth their while they’ll pull it for you…not helpful when you just need odd bits here and there or even to measure up parts from other models for example. Love the vids, sending big love from UK 🇬🇧
It looks like a lot of them are sadly just victims of Midwest winters
I'm in Belgium, and same thing, here the days of taking stuff off yourself are done, and therefore the prices are also absolutely not interesting anymore, it often comes up that brand new stuff is barely more expensive or even cheaper... If you need anything that you can't really get new, either you search for someone parting out their car, or look for online junkyards, often coming from countries that aren't as crazy when it comes to pricing.
I wonder why they keep getting stricter with health and safety regulations tho. I've never felt unsafe in such places.
dude just brushed off a 300zx like it was nothing. literally my dream car.
The fact that I'm learning more about cars through junkyard videos than anything else is crazy. Love em. I wanna go to a junkyard now

Hey Mike happy new year.. that rear spoiler looks so good almost perfect to the white Acura RSX , you should make a clip installing it but first that lower small trunk lip must be removed then it will look fantastic !
The red trans am and Camaros that r like 99 and new should have an lbs motor
I know you said you were gonna pass on the dash in the Z because of the lifting by the vent but its a very common issue and super easy fix, That dash has no cracks and finding another one down the road may be harder or a lot more expensive so I'd highly recommend grabbing that dash
Love that playlist. We legit have the same music taste
You really took one for the team on this one, Mike! I personally love exploring junk yards so these videos are fun to watch.. Plus- you're just one of those guys who makes everything fun with your enthusiasm and sense of humor. Keep the content coming!!
man i had a smile on my face the whole time. first time finding your channel, but your enthusiasm and positivity was great. will definitely be watching more if you do more junkyard vids!
You just know so much about so many cars. I'm so impressed how deep your knowledge goes.
Man honestly it's refreshing how positive you are. I'm building a 5th gen prelude at the moment and sometimes it's hard to stay positive. Thanks for the vibes!

My guy! I also have a gen 5 prelude! Dont let the prelude curse discourage you. They’re cars worth preserving.
I have a couple of 80's Nissan trucks and I learn to work on them from youtube and forums. I am envious of your knowledge and positive attitude .Keep up the hard work it shows and thanks for not being a bummer a lot of content is complaining and not fixing.
Loving this junkyard vids man! Can’t believe those tags went to the junkyard with that many good parts. Can’t wait for the next vid!
Love the junkyard videos, finding gems at the junk yard is one of my favorite things to do

Junkyard videos are so cool! I’ve learned so much in only a few videos so if you can please keep them up! All the cool parts and cars you’ve found already. Not to mention scooping the still salvageable parts so the community can continue to get parts. Really has inspired me to go to my “local” yard and get some miscellaneous bits I’ve been needing.

Just recently found you and now I’m watching your entire 240 playlist 💯 your content is inspiring, I plan to buy my first manual soon and I have tons of plans, thanks for being so fun to watch dawg much luck 🙌🏽
Been waiting for an upload.. I can appreciate the s13 can't always be worked on but, It seems like a lot of us are enjoying the junk yard videos👌🏼
i love those junkyard exploring vids keep em coming man!
It's cool to see someone else does this when visiting the yard like I do. I'm in Wisconsin and can attest to how cold and wet this must've been. Super awesome video. More of this content!
What part of Wisconsin I’m in Chicago and I’m tired of this lot nd the lkqs lol
@@FernandoLopez-su1ux Central Wisconsin… so roughly 3ish hours from Chicago. We have a number of yards around the area. They’re all frozen swamps at the moment though. lol Walking the yards for parts in the spring/summer/fall while also exploring a bit and checking out some forgotten automotive gems is always a chill way to spend a day when the weather is right though.
@@FernandoLopez-su1ux hey bro this lot is not 45 mins from you. I live 15 mins from there. What kinda parts you lookin for?
This yard is in woodstock. On rt 14. The rt 14 in chicago. Same one. Keep going northwest until you see your first corn field. No seriously.
@@boostedzjadventurevlogs4121 right I live in Schaumburg
These videos are a vibe, love them haha and we get to see where the parts come from which is really cool.
I definitely dig the junk yard videos. I don’t get out to the yards very much. So it’s cool to watch
love the junkyard videos please keep them going!!!
Man i just love these junkyard videos, best things on this channel lol
I could spend a whole day in that yard and not get bored! so much cool stuff hidden there 😄
This is so interesting to see but so sad at the same time.. all these iconic cars like the eclipse and the rare parts.. everybody knows that this body kit is very rare these days
Definitely love to see junkyard videos, I actually go to the LKQ pick a part yards when I’m bored or if I find a MINI that I can snag parts from. But seeing that 2nd Gen eclipse hurt so bad, especially seeing it with the Blitz body kit. I really would love to find a 2nd eclipse GST or GSX or even better, a Talon TSI AWD.
The editing is clean, I like the jumping back and forth from the junkyard and other places
Love these junkyard videos! If I could I’d spend every weekend doing exactly what you’re doing. Each car tells a story.

I think we all love these junkyard vids. I never realized how much good stuff you can get from a junk yard! I’m tempted to start junkyard hopping if I actually get a summer project car going.
Junkyard gold is real

Best moment of the week is getting a notification from you :)
I am absolutely call you my psycologist. Because, i am also into cars and working also on a tank as my hobby, but my nerve-strings are not that massive as yours. I get very fast angry after a 3th not working attempt. As you may can imagine, rust is mostly on the worst parts to weld, always the wrong tool ready because of the one screw, that you have not seen, tools break, nuts go round or the missing 3th hand is not availeble to help you install some part. And working on tanks is als not that easy!!. Seeing you still smiling during working in mudd, with wet feets, working in rain with no umbrella or so and still - never angry is in my opinion the best for your mental health. I would like to be more like you in thatchapter of my life! I still try and love to see you working on junk and junkyards!
I love the junk yard videos keep them up!! And that wing looks sweet on that Honda
its always interesting to see some walk thoroughs of salvage yards , the stories these vehicles could tell if they could talk. you never know what treasure you'll find as well some proper rain boots or even hip waders would be good for this yard . the coldest temp ive gone through a yard and pulled parts was -45f , i never count wind . some times you just dont have a choice when you really need a part . I want your winters :D i am almost glad the winters up here are too cold to use salt, all that rust down there is wild O_O

Keep doing them bro. Great content, I love going to d junk yard always some treasures to explore.
6:58 "This was someone's pride and joy at one point. And now it's here, sitting rotting away" that made me sad
Bro saw my school sticker😂
I'm glad he saves manual parts. I not long got my car with a manual did just end up buying another one as it was far cheaper then trying to find a scraped one and I love it so much more
Yesss more junkyard videos! Loved the Volvo 240SX too ;)
Have a huge soft spot for Firebirds and 4th gen Camaros. The shape what does it for me. Lucky find on that type r. Would like to see more junkyard videos but probably not that junkyard. Too much mud man haha. Yeah Z's are too wide for type x wings. Best bet would be a 326 wing or 326 rep for that style.
I agree, Firebirds were always cool to me, idk much about the platform tho I might just have to find more yards! I've been driving farther and farther out to check out these different yards! I agree, type x was way too narrow of a wing for the z32 haha
Why do people just throw these into junkyards and not sell parts of them if they can’t sell the entire car 💀
9:06 "these cars could have been good friends" is when I subscribed
Yes. Pls do this kind of video. It's really fun to watch 🙏
Bro we need a story time for the rhd integra
Coming soon! Hopefully within a month or so!
Dude the mud is stressing me out
😅 was a great time slidin around in ice cold wet mud lol Fun fact: I've been wearing those exact shoes through the jungle of Thailand for the past week haha
Definitely needa keep dropping scrap yard finds/ journeys crazy to see what all gets scrapped shedded a tear when I saw that crushed SS just left, Need some integra/ 300zx!!!

Impala R34 😅
These are lots of fun, you should definately keep doing them
12:54 aww, I like PT Cruisers, but I'm probably one of the few that do. Yes, I like these junkyard videos! Thank you! Yes, I definitely be interested in seeing videos of your volunteer trip in Thailand. Thank you! Coldest junkyard visit I've gone is when it sprinkled/rain a little when I just happen to be there. I think they use to offer discounts on rainy days, but I don't think that's the case anymore (SoCal).
Interesting content! Definitely would see some more. Gives me chills everytime you said r.i.p idkw
I really enjoy these junkyard video as you give interesting facts n history on the cars which is fun to watch
Junkyard videos are awesome keep them coming.

I love junkyard videos
This video reminds me of the time I used to live in Greenville, SC as I used to visit the salvage yards there at times… I had a Stealth in those days and that was what made me a gear head. For some odd reason, I love visiting junk yards! 😂
Woow, thats a lot of rare and nice cars 🤩.. Great video but sad to the the cars in the junkyard..

Oh man, those Firebirds and that Fiero are just sad!! I love junkyard shopping!
Loving the junkyard vids man 👌
Thanks for another junkyard visit. The boot wing looks great hey.
@21:37 that twisty thing is what locks the engine cover in the back of the smartcar. I only learned that yesterday from my gf weird little cars. Love the videos!
That type x on the rsx actually looked really good. Its surprising how well all the lines flowed together. If it was just an RSX I'd probably say go for it, if it's a teg I'd probably not, lol.
You make my day whenever you upload a video
That "purple car" Is a 1 of 85 firebird/trans am in that colour. They are very, very rare. A person in my home town owns one and it is always nice to see.

I thought that junkyard looked familiar - I go to route 14 as well! What a surprise that was to see
Makes me so sad 😢😢
I am surprised that you left the headlights on the Z, I used yo repair totalled cars, so I was always walking through junkyards, and it feels very nostalgic watching this

Found one of your videos quite by accident and it's very cool. Although I am from Russia, and the translation of words is sometimes not accurate, but the meaning is clear, after watching your video, there is a motivation to go to the garage) thanks !
Love the junkyard content as I love going to junkyards as well. I feel pretty spoiled though since I live in the SF Bay Area in California, so pretty much every car is rust free. Would love to see your Thailand content, hope all is well there.
