    • Hello Fil! I'm glad you're reacting to Dimash again! It is a special pleasure for me that this recording was made at the Liszt Academy in my country, Budapest. Dimash came to Budapest at the invitation of Placido Domingo (an opera legend, part of the 3 tenors: -Luciano Pavarotti, Hosé Carreras, Plácido Domingo) to be one of the jury members of the finals of the classical music talent competition called Virtuosos (of which Domingo is the main patron).   • Thank yoy for your great reaction. The maestro Placido Domingo is one of the most important opera singers af all times. A living legeng. Next to Luciano Pavarotti and José Carreras they were The Three Tenors, and Dimash used to listen to them since he was a little child. So as he said, his dream came true when he did this magnificent duet with Placido Domingo. And i think that the dream came true also for us, who have the opportunity to appreciate and admire the greatness and mastery of these legends from different generations singing together.   • Wow! Dimash’s voice is so mature, complete, rich and “soul filling” ……somehow I get prouder and prouder of this young man. Why I feel like he is family is so odd. Perhaps because I am watching him “grow up” and loving him DEARly since 2018. Whatever the reason, he continues to delight us all. What a gift he has, but greater still is the gift WE have in him.   • Everytime I watch this, I can’t help thinking how thrilled Dimash must be to have another dream come true. His parents and Grandmother must be bursting with pride. He’s like my Grandson and I’m so proud and happy for him. Watching him since 2017 has been like watching one of my own grandkids accomplish the things they’ve dreamt about since childhood. I love this beautiful young man. He brings smiles to everyday of my life. I’m 78 and blessed to be alive to see this gift from God. Bev

  • You're right. Dimash is excellent at calibrating his delivery to match anyone he is performing with. That's true of most professional singers - especially Opera singers - but what I noticed was that Dimash had slowed down his vibrato to be more in synch with Placido's much slower vibrato {sine wave?} and I'm not sure that most singers can do that. (Change their natural vibrato) Maybe someone in that field can comment, but I remember one Opera singer commenting that it was quite common to miss out on getting a great role at audition, not because they didn't know the song or have a beautiful voice, but simply because their own vibrato was too different to the other Leads. And that there was not much they could do about that. Well, it seems for Dimash, there is!

I listen ..my childhood dream someday sing on big stage with Placedo Domingo. I cried when watched them sing together.

  • Placido Domingo, born Jan. 21, 1941 and Dimash, born May 24, 1994 singing this classic duet on December 10, 2023. So there's 53 years between them, let that sink in for a moment. Placido's voice is still wonderful at age 82 in this clip.

  • Thank you for a great reaction Phil, we missed you. Dimash indeed matures like a good vine, looking very handsome every time. Some voice coaches were trying to criticise saying Dimadh singing was uneven. Concidering the whole duet idea was Placido,s spur of a moment idea and Dimash had only a day or two to prepare , he did marvelously. No disrespect to the legend Domingo, but not sure how he would cope with Dimash's songs without any preparation. ❤✌️

  • Placido Domingo asked him to do this duet after hearing from his grandson how magnificent Dimash was.They both are judges in a tv contest for young musicians called Virtuosos,in Budapest (where I'll be watching him live,at last).Placido is 83 and is a living opera legend and knows where talent is.This meant a lot for Dimash,he was very happy.Now many more people know what we Dears knew long ago...that he is The Voice of this century hands down.Thank you for your heartfelt reaction...I was waiting for it 😃
