He should be tried for espionage and treason, he's in politics and is pushing against literally our first and foremost law in this nation. It is above all other laws, the protection of the first one is why there is an explicit need for the second one. And without the second one, none of the ones after it can be enforced.
People don't understand that the constitution is the peoples terms and conditions to the government, not the other way around. It's not about what we're allowed to do, it's about what they aren't allowed to do. And the first thing they aren't allowed to do is prevent free speech, and the expression thereof in various forms including accepted religious practices (can't sacrifice humans and claim religious right for example).

He's technically (legally) correct. The constitution itself isn't even absolute. It is a subordinate/subsequent creation that followed The Declaration of Independence; which states that "the governed" may "alter or abolish" government to secure their future liberty, and thereby choose the manner by which they consent to be governed. However the _principle_ of free speech isn't just absolute, it's an objective fact of reality. "Free speech"/1A is the written recognition of the free will that exists in all creatures (human and lower animals), existing within them from the moment of their births. While technically not absolute, The DoI and the US Const. both interplay and reinforce each other, as that provision in the Declaration of Independence cannot be effected/triggered _without_ the 1st Amendment from the Constitution, nor without the protection of the 1st, by the 2nd... Which makes the 2nd Amendment the true backbone which upholds the concept of freedom itself: Its the free will to to defend your free will itself.... by force if necessary.

I just read the 1st Amendment and I couldn't find a "limitations" clause anywhere.

There is no such thing as hate speech, only uncomfortable speech that everyone has a right to in order to get a vigorous public debate in order educate ourselves to make responsible choices. The Left used to be the protectors of the 1st Amendment, starting somewhere after 2000 they became the enemy of it. Actually, the guy is horrible on many fronts. But rights are not absolute. The right to bear arms does not mean all, at all times, any where. The courts modify positions and criteria all the time. Threatening speech prohibited. Yelling due in a crowded theatre. Search and seizure terms for cars vs houses, vs people. Is taking fingerprints or DNA part of 5th amendment self incrimination? Is the right to counsel meaning we have to pay for it? These are not codified until decided on by the courts, often below the SCOTUS. Absolute would mean no limits and no discussion.

What you're talking about is direct incitement to violence, which was never considered constitutional speech by even the most ardent pro-1A adherents, including the Founders themselves. It's not that free speech isn't absolute as such, but that the rights of others cannot be subordinated by unlawful actions under the guise of being constitutionally protected. Slander, incitement, and threats of violence are not and never have been protected because all three impede on the rights of others. Jordan Peterson's standard that all other forms of speech are constitutional still stands, the alarm modern Democrat standard that "misinformation and disinformation" (i.e. anything that Democrats don't like being said) is also lumped in with incitement/threats/slander. Goldman is an authoritarian, and you're perfectly okay with that, just as long as he continues doing your bidding.

Any politician who openly claims the first ammendment is not absolute and trying to shift the goal posts to silence those they don't like, should be cast out of government wholesale. The whole January 6th debacle where people have been held in jail for years now, without a single charge properly levied against them, is absolutely crooked.

I think to make this problem real...all the people in that congressional assembly needs to realise that their own personal information is out there and not just the common American.
The whole point of the first amendment is to prevent the Government from preventing speech whether they agree with it or not, whether they think it’s true or not. You dont need a first amendment if everything everyone says is agreeable, it’s specifically there so that even disagreeable speech can not be censored by Government or on behalf of the Government.

I remember getting to university and suddenly meeting so many people who were against the first amendment. That’s when I knew we were in for a horrible fight in the future. I think we’re getting closer
