Bittersweet moment. We had to say goodbye to our 9 year old Abyssinian last month (Kai). He loved snuggling under the comforter during the day.

So very sorry. I had an Abyssinian as a young child who I named Pooh. I’m now a grandmother, and mourn him still. He’s the ONLY cat in my life acquired through a breeder, which was my stepmother’s decision. All others to this day, have been rescues; and I can attest to the fact it is not an easy process when dealing with their loss when that time comes. Please, just try to allow those happy, funny, warm memories envelope, and comfort you.

Hehe that's the usual way but there was one cat I used to catsit for and I'd stay overnight while I was looking after her and she would sleep on the bed and we'd hold hands :) , her paw in my hand. It was so unusual and so comforting. I loved her . She was called Cookie .

@@claudefazio Alexander liked to sleep alone but always ended up on my lap every night and slept on my bed. We just got a new Abby (Jackson) in January and he is a snuggler too! But only after he is all played out. Abbys are very curious and love to play.

Oh I LOVE abys! I had one named Charlotte and she was with me for 23 years. Abys are so striking in appearance. It never failed, could be a plumber or a mover or a HVAC repairman that might be in the house and even if they weren’t “cat people” they would all say, without fail, “that is a really awesome looking cat!” She was my little couch puma.

My tux loves to be covered. I wake up on cold mornings (wood heated house), slowly flop the blanket over him, carefully pull back my legs and replace them with a pillow, and I immediately hear his motor start to run.

You have such a beautiful, beautiful cat! I always wanted an Abyssinian, although my little rescue kitty is ever so attractive. Considering cats are already beautiful animals, Abyssinians are almost the feline supermodel 😸
