    • He dumped his head and blew him up. There is no tackle here at all. Though you are right, in that the timing was spot on, and had the potential to be an awesome open field tackle after a scrimmage kick, or could’ve been like a lot of punts, and it would be an uneventful fair catch. But, instead you have ill informed kids or kids with no regards for their safety, and even less then zero regard for the player back there trying to field the ball. In reality the kid should have hella called for fair catch, but not everyone has the same field awareness levels?! Don’t get me wrong, i love a good tackle as much as the next person, but not at the expense of player safety. Every one at this level and below are Students first then Student athletes. Hope you are enjoying the football season so far. 😊

  • In my early days of playing O line, I got ejected (dont like "disqualified"). A line backer got away with a late hit on one of our players and then on me, I responded and ended up punching him on the floor, so I got ejected, which was all the ref could do. As we were lying on the floor my quarterback and a opposing player were standing either side of us trading punches too, so both of them got ejected too. Lesson learnt, as I was fuming on the side lines and learnt that you could extract revenge for the unfair hits if you were a bit more subtle about it in later games 😁.
