Dutch is an absolutely stunning, 16hh, 5-year-old, buckskin Friesian/Quarter Horse cross gelding. He is very gentle, easy to handle and a joy to be around. He is so personable and really enjoys attention, bathing, grooming, hanging out and riding.
I had the pleasure of starting Dutch for his previous owner. He was easy to start and very trainable. Later when my client called and said he had to sell all his horses, we were happy to have the opportunity to purchase Dutch and work with him once again.
As you can see in the video, Dutch has a great walk, trot, and canter, with easy and smooth transitions. He knows his leads and moves off leg pressure. He’s easy to ride with a one-handed neck rein or just take the bridle off and go without, Dutch doesn’t care either way. We have used Dutch to pony colts and trail ride. He travels down the trail with ease and handles all kinds of terrain without a problem. Obstacles are no trouble for Dutch, teeter-totter, tarp, umbrella, flag, dragging logs or noisy rock-filled jugs. Dutch stands for the farrier, ties, bathes, clips, and loads in a stock and a slant trailer.
