Hermann Hackmann was born on the 11th of November 1913 in Osnabrück then part of the German Empire. Hackmann was the son of a construction foreman and after leaving school in 1930, he began an apprenticeship as a bricklayer. On 30 January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg. In November of the same year Hackmann became a member of the SS.
As of 1934 he served in the Esterwegen concentration camp, located near the German-Dutch border. Most of the prisoners in Esterwegen were political prisoners, many of them Communists. The most famous was Carl von Ossietzky, a German journalist and political activist who was sent to Esterwegen in 1933.

  • If I heard correctly, you said he died in 1944, but it was 1994, wasn’t it?

    • Thank you for this. Yes, 1994 is correct. We apologize for this :( Our colleague responsible for voiceover made a mistake. Thank you for understanding. We hope that you enjoyed the rest of the video.

    • I heard that mistake too. If he was born in 1913 and died at 80 years then his death occurred in 1993-1994. He may have been late but he was welcomed into hell.

  • Because Martin Sommer and Ilse Koch didn't already bring enough unimaginable and unspeakable pain suffering and agony to the innocent victims of Buchenwald?

    @liberallioness4335@liberallioness43352 ай бұрын
    • Sommer was really perverted. Selecting attractive men for his perverted venal experiments, then hiding the corpses under his bed. That is really warped.

  • The Terror, and Agony the Innocent Victims suffered is Unimaginable, and to me, Unforgivable. Rest In Peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️ Also, the Horrible Humiliation they Endured. It was such a Horrific Struggle just to get through each day!! Beyond Heartbreaking Suffering!! I truly believe it took Tremendous Courage, to keep Fighting to Survive, and als o for those that tried to Escape! Incredibly Brave!!

  • He is in the long documentary on the Majdanek trial, still arrogant and when talking about the Russian POWs who were taken to die there, he momentarily forgets himself and starts to refer to them as ' die Unterm.....' in other words, the subhumans. And this was 30 years after the war.
