**** Why Hunt Hogs? ****
My journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. I didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... I did it because I had to. My father-in-law started me on this path several years ago when he asked me to help out with a problem. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land, our family's land, and the land our family tree farming business. The vast majority of hunting videos that you see on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for me. We have had hogs come as close as 20 feet from my front door, and having 2 small children at home and knowing how aggressive and dangerous hogs can be, getting rid of the problem was a safety concern. This is why when people ask how I got into hog hunting... my answer is always "I didn't get into it because I wanted to, I started doing it because I had to!". It's a personal fight and struggle...

**** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ****
Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! I hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of my friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

I did this last month on my uncle’s farm. I had always prided myself as a good shot. Got my marksmanship badge in the military and plenty of other large game. Folks, shooting a hog that’s just had a quart of adrenaline dumped into their system is one of the hardest thing I have ever done. Their gate and ability to change directions on a dime makes you feel like a noob. And they alter their speed fluently. I went through a 30 round mag and don’t think I hit Jack Shit. Once you get a feel for it you start having some success. But don’t think you’re going to shoot like these guys any time soon.

@@ExceptionalPleb Yes. Unless you score a headshot or heart, they will keep going. I saw one with four in his ass and one of his back legs was blown off and he continued on for another 50 yards.

Years ago I stayed with a rancher and his family, he hunted wild hogs, they were made into sausage, every morning we had bisque's and gravy from those wild hogs. It was the best I ever had.

I heard that there's an estimated 2.5 million hogs in Texas alone. You'd have to kill em faster than they reproduce. That's gonna take years and many more shooters to get those numbers down.
You guys aren't real steady with your gun or the scope..... do you have a mount
It's not a video game with perks to make it easy. Holding dead steady is rather difficult. The scope makes it seem way worse because of magnification and reduced field of view. If he was using no magnification the image would look steadier because it's not showing you how much you're really moving.
My dad grew up in the Great Depression.. He used to tell a joke: Behind every set of rabbit tracks, you could find 5 sets of human tracks.. For what is coming to this country soon, behind every set of feral hog tracks, you will find 20 sets of human tracks.. This feral hog problem is going to go away.. People are going to get very hungry.. We don't have hogs in my area but I kind of wish we did.. I will be buying a thermal scope in anticipation.. Good hunting..
