  • Eddie surprised me with how quick and accurate he was in the first round. Unfortunately for these guys, Mike's durability gives him the edge.

Following Eddie's journey has inspired me to get into the best shape I can, I now lift weights 4-5dys a week and weigh 210lbs! I feel great about where I am now and am very proud of what I've achieved. Thank you, Eddie, for being so dedicated and open with your path! Let's get some mud on the ground in Kentucky, brother!!

  • Eddie is the only fighter that I make sure to see every fight that I can (Japan was tough, always had to youtube it til the last 2 fights in One. I first met Eddie when I was bartending and his friends were drinking there all night, and then i saw Eddie(in his Underground days) sleeping in the back. I thought he was just drunk and was going to wake him up and tell him if hes that drunk, hes gotta go home to sleep), here a couple mutual friends grabbed me and said he hasn't even drank, hes been in training for a fight in AC in 2 weeks. Then I went down to AC 2 weeks later and saw him knock someone out in Rd 1, and have seen about 20-25 fights since. Noone can go from the verge of losing to knocking someone out faster than Eddie. Maybe best chin in MMA history. McGregor KO was his worst fight, and I think if Eddie was the challenger, it would have went differently.

I don't think that's accurate because Mike talked about it before the fight and said that he was intentionally cutting that extra pound because he was viewing it as a championship fight and wanted to make championship weight. Mike did it intentionally, not accidentally.
