@@glennburns7898 he never said he was the only one, you just tryna hate but you do you I guess
@Peter Piper. I was thinking the same thing. I'm a Mom & my 17yr old listens to him so I checked him out (cause that's what I do) & I was like is he for real? My son was telling me how much he respects him. He seems for real. That makes me happy. Just goes to show you can be a Christian & still have problems. God doesn't promise a trouble free/struggle free life. HE does promise to be with us & walk with us THROUGH our problems. Only thing that kinda bothers me is that Eminem is in his top 5 of favorite artists. Nothing "wholesome" there LOL.
I think it's a perfect example of, "don't judge a book by it's cover". You never know what talents people have, what they are capable of; you always have to get to know everyone, if you have a chance to know them. You never know what you can hear from someone that might change the way you think about something or look at something in a way you might never have looked at, before. But yeah, I was very surprised when I first saw what NF looked like, after I heard his music. I don't know what I expected to see, but I was surprised. I'm just grateful that NF is so honest in his music. His music has helped me a lot.
@@RainyDayz1991 Good afternoon, Karen. I don't usually comment, but as an 18 year old Christian who used to listen to Eminem all the time, I think I can help you understand where your son is coming from. My parents never understood the beauty that I see in rap (rhyme schemes, flow patterns, pockets, storytelling, metaphors, etc), and maybe your son also enjoys that side of rap. Nevertheless, I have to disagree with your stance on Eminem not having wholesome songs. I agree some of them are just about mocking society or anger towards his mother or ex-wife. However, there are many songs about him talking about his love for his daughter, overcoming addictions and forgiving his mother for the terrible things he had to go through as a child. I recommend just listening to songs such as "Mockingbird", "When I'm gone", "Like toy soldiers", "Headlights", "Not afraid", "Arose", "Castles"... All of these have deep rooting in his own life and show the human side of his alter ego Slim Shady (Marshall Mathers/Eminem). Lastly, I would like to note that, by your way of portraying your feelings about your son's top 5 artists, it seems like you checked it yourself, rather than directly asking him. Please talk to him before judging him over his music taste, as it could strengthen your relationship with him. I wouldn't enjoy my parents talking about my music preferences behind my back and forming a mistaken stereotype of me. On a lighter note, I'm starting to transition to Christian rap, but every now and then I go back and listen to the censored versions of some of Eminem's albums (I'm still a work in progress). Hopefully your son will start to make that transition as well, just don't force it on him. Thank you for sharing, and I hope you and your family are doing well during these difficult times. God bless you!
Thank God NF finally got a proper interview that wasn't all just fluff questions and actually let him go deep into his thoughts and process....

I think he gets overlooked as an “Eminem clone” and that’s why he’s so underrated. That being said, anyone who will constantly show how vulnerable they are both on and off stage deserves so much respect. He’s hard to interview because he shows people how difficult it is for him to do these things, he’s intense and he’s just so down to Earth. NF is so talented man
Definitely- the tones of their subject matter is so different. I don't even think their voices are that similar.
Tom McDonald and nf are on another level than em. He's been replaced
God is with NF
"I went from nobody to..." was anyone else waiting for him to say "kinda famous" ??
Lol-
Yes lowkey
Me right here😂
I did🤣
Fr 😂
i love nf and hope he never stops making music and i dont really care if this sounds dumb i don not care he is awesome and i can relate to that so i guess im as crazy as he is never stop what your doing nf!!!
How he tries to be careful in the words he chooses to say, and how he says them, to make you see his perspective, is just amazing.
“I don’t have to think the same way someone does to think they’re a talented person” wow if only half the population thought like this, we would see so much more respect towards other people.
NF: “The internet, because everyone can give their opinion...there’s no conversations anymore. They’re just opinions” #truth #twosidestoeverystory
Chris A you have conversations ABOUT opinions, which leads to understanding of one another. He could’ve said that better.
@@1needBycRidezzz yea but there is way too little respect for each other's opinion. So no he did put that right imo
CrankDat come on, you know that’s a complete stretch. This whole cancel culture thing that is going on has one side of the world afraid to speak their real opinions, and the the other half believes their opinion is right and the other is wrong.
CrankDat yo why are you hating on everyone supporting NF
Aidan Cole I was stupid back then. I don’t hate his image as much now, though my feelings on his music haven’t changed much.
It’s actually refreshing to see a artist who is vulnerable and kinda socially awkward for once. Most people in these interviews are really charismatic, well adjusted and extroverted etc. I’m not saying he isn’t those things I listed but, simply put, it’s relatable. At least for me personally as somebody who has anxiety and other issues.
I love how real NF is. not only do we share the same name, but also some characteristics as well. Very interesting to see how transparent he is and how open he is with everything, it’s very refreshing to see that in the rap industry. He’s very humble and down to earth and I see a lot of qualities that I have in common with him which is pretty crazy. Keep keeping it real NF!
I've watched NF grow from 5k to over 4 million subs. Each album has multiplied his followers.
I came in right before perception and have loved watching his growth as a man from intro 1 to now. So excited to see what the future brings him musically and mentally
zachary robinson I started listening to his stuff when Therapy session came out
To put it to a album it was just before mansions came out.
@Samarah Lopez facts I saw him on concert got 2 autographed CDS. and a life changing concert. I'll never forget it
I've been here since 2015
OCD tryna push my buttons, I said don't touch it, now y'all done it🎵🎶
Adedamola Adeyemi OCD tryna push my buttons*
@@aojbooker8650 Sorry😅
Adedamola Adeyemi 😂😂😂you still have “tryna touch” instead of “tryna push”
@@aojbooker8650 😂😂😂😂
Why so many putting random lyrics here? He knows his songs, write something to actually support him, bro. So disappointed in this comment section ...
10:01 and after literally brought me to tears watching that part of the interview... Those emotions, that journey, his maturity, his pain, the interviewer... got me to full tears. Man
The interviewer did such an amazing job of making NF open up...he was so awkward to talk to in the beginning 10 minutes and then Nate just opened up. Good job interviewer guy!
Am i the only one that completely loves his voice? Like, when he's not singing or rapping too? HE HAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VOICE. I'm in love with someone's voice
I really like his voice too
Don't mind me, crushing hard on his cute teeth...
@@colleenh8365 aw man u made me laugh but yeah😂
He really needs to make a podcast
I love his voice, it’s sooo hot lol
You can see his body language changed in the first 30 min. He eventually felt comfortable talking.
Right, man. I can relate.
Ikr 🥺

This is called social anxiety Ik this as I have it and yes his body language does change 😪❤️
I noticed that tooo
the world needs more peoples like Nf damn.....bruh! look how humble he is
Coming back to this interview every other day to rewatch it. I could listen to him for weeks. I really wish that I would have the opportunity to just have a deep conversation with him.
If you really think about it, he’s the healthiest looking rapper. Partying, tons of interviews, stress from press and all that takes a toll. He doesn’t get involved with everything which is the best for him. He might not be 100% mentally but at least it’s not affecting him physically. Keep it up Nate!
Christopher AJ Silva have you seen logic lol
His interviews? Yes. Seen him live? Yes, 3 times.
Tbh he looks skinny AF and not as beefy and you know, tanky like Eminem.
@@invictusangelica why does that matter
Plus he doesn't do drugs like a lot of other rappers
