Loved the 80s, the music, the feelings about all that was part of that era and just great memories and feelings. I just turned 57 and still have that feeling through music and movies. What an incredible time it was to be a teen and young adult. The best era in music and entertainment in general.

Bunne Rabb rock band? Rock?
@CJ-zb7ng9 жыл бұрын
Mr. Chip Yeah. See, the whole "what is and what isn't" rock thing sort of doesn't work for me at all. I never much paid attentions to genres. I like the Beatles, I like Motown, I like Mötörhead, I like Drowning Pool, I like the Carpenters. If it makes you groove, it's rock and roll to me. : )
@BunneRabb9 жыл бұрын
haha yeah i get what your saying. I guess when i hear the term rock i think metallica, i think journey, i think led zeppelin, i think foo fighters etc, rock can be different for each generation. But today they call mumford and sons rock, or Lorde charts on the rock charts. I just dont get it. When i think of hooters, or flock of seagulls, or duran duran i guess i just think of it as 80s pop/new wave, not really rock
@CJ-zb7ng9 жыл бұрын
Mr. Chip The first thing you have to remember is that rock and roll only got huge because it was new to white people, who had money, and they paid for it because they heard it on the radio. Remember when radio mattered? All the genres, all the sub-genres and "I only listen to post ska musebilly, thrashcore polka" hipsters overlook two things. A - It's all allegiance based marketing and B, nobody is paying for it anymore so like all things in America that don't move money around, it's going to turn into a hobby. Each hobbyist with their little flag of uniqueness. The only people making money off of music now are rappers, country artists and Disney. Usually at the same time.
@BunneRabb9 жыл бұрын
+Mr. Chip yep. Wiki says it all, have a read, you might learn something. There are different type of rock bands out there: The Hooters are an American rock band from Philadelphia as per wiki

Pretty sure the concert footage was shot at the Tower Theater and it was the night where I ended up via a friend of a friend as freelance crew pulling cable for the camera on stage right (by Robbie), next to the speaker stack. Even with ear plugs in that did lasting damage to my left ear. And forgot so much outdoor footage was shot in SF (where I live now). It's like a time capsule of parts of my life.

They were my first concert. I was in the 7th grade. My second was Rush and third was Metallica, back before it was cool to like Metallica. Lol. The Hooters got me hooked on live music. And Rush got me hooked on, well, seeing Rush live every chance I got. I got a lot of them. I stopped counting at my 13th Rush gig. The Hooters were great live. And so is Metallica, 7 times for them. But, there was something magical when Rush took the stage. And I don't just mean Neil's insane drum solos. It was the amount and quality of music that was coming from only three men. Granted, those three were virtuosos. But, the Hooters will always have a special place for me. I smile every time I think back on that first concert, with The Outfield opening for them. Great show!
@davidjones82999 ай бұрын
As I recall, the Hooters debut album was independently released and sold about 150,000 copies in the greater Delaware Valley area. That lead to, I believe, Columbia records signing them. Their manager was Steve Mountain, who owned the three Cabaret night clubs in greater Philly. They were a great act, but they had business muscle behind them.

This song has a great opening
Shoot naw THAT'S WHERE THE CHICKS WERE!
Dude, that was made the eighties what they are.
So many memories
This may be the most under rated American rock band in history.
Bunne Rabb rock band? Rock?
Mr. : )
haha yeah i get what your saying.
+Mr. Chip yep. Wiki says it all, have a read, you might learn something. There are different type of rock bands out there: The Hooters are an American rock band from Philadelphia as per wiki
Another outstanding song from their great album in 1985. Proud sons of the city of Philadelphia! Thanks for posting!
I really love this song, have heard it since my high school days 1987! Almost 30 years I have been listening their songs.
When music was fun
Really good group who wrote outstanding songs. Loved the 80s music
Great opening. No doubt I heard this song back from a commercial break on the radio, when it was released lol
Man how did I ever get through the '80s with music like this?
Damn saw these guys in 86 when they opened up for the Outfield and loverboy Great show 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
What a show that must have been!
They opened for the outfield, man that must have been an epic show.....
Wow!!
Oh damn. Lucky you!
That's cool stuff. I saw the Outfield open for the Hooters in my hometown. Memory lane right here.
Heard this song on Casey Kasem show last night. Still one of my favorite songs from the 80's. Never gets old!!!
I loved this song in Godspell!
I heard this song twice today. I'm not sure of the exact meaning but I take it to mean that life can only happen one day at a time.
No. Wear more shoulder pads. That is always the message.
Love how the crowd is smiling and dancing. No filming. Reminds me of my teenage years when we rocked at shows like this.
I was in the crowd. It was awesome!
@@baltojo That must have been an awesome experience! By the way, at which arena did they film this video?
@@surlymisanthrope The Tower Theater in Upper Darby. It's just over the Philly line.
@@baltojo Cool, it’s really neat that they filmed this video in front of their hometown fans!
Legends ❤
The '80s will never die!!!
Fun and weird fact. The girl and boy @ 2:42 are the consession stand couple from the "And We Danced" video. In my 1980's brain this was their first date and they would be in their 50's now like me with a bunch of kids.
The B-side, “South Ferry Road,” is pretty excellent as well.
Whatever it takes, dude
I miss the 80's...good times...good times!
I was probably at that concert at the end of the video which was recorded at the Tower Theater in Philly.
Damn good Rock band.
20 years to come back to listen them again....
"Nothing lasts, only fades away" Truth
This is a Very Amazing great sounding song from back years ago and it Still Sounds great
Big, huge song .. I love this song too
I heard this on the radio yesterday. Totally forgot about it! Freaking awesome song!
This was my favorite song back in 1985
Love it. Brings me back.
just a great 80s band...freshman year in college.
Love this song, brings back so many memories. Thanks for sharing
I remember the first time I heard this song playing over the speakers back in 2014 when I was at the gym exercising, along with the music video of it playing on the TV. This was my introduction to the Hooters :)
LYRICS: > Give me what you can tonight Time is all we have to play Tell me you can't live without me Tell me every day by day by day nothing last forever, only fades way day by day Give me what you can tonight I'm back tomorrow anyway Show me some appreciation Show me every day by day by day The chance you gotta take, the price you gotta pay Day by Day. And if you break down , I will remind you, Ohh of what you were yesterday. You can break down, I'll be behind you every, every everyevery, Day by Day by Day.
@missdarlene7 Thank You So Much for the lyrics to this Song ‼️❤️ Sincerely Darlene an American Girl Who has a thing for drummers ❤️❤️❤️
It’s so 80s. Hooters were from Philly so they had allot of rotation on our local stations… Eric also wrote one of us for Joan Osborne and Rob wrote time after time with Cindy Lauper. These guys are songwriting gold
I was at first night of them opening for Don Henley. Fun group. I think they had some family or big fans there. They we’re trying really hard to rally audience for encore. Don put in good word for them once he took stage.
Great song It's what we say in life Take it day by day. Day by day
Great song & video - it deserves 19 million views, not 19 thousand!
🎶 The old days...gee life was simple 😊
I remember seeing them open for Loverboy, 84, 85ish. Great live band!!
I love these guys..aw what a sound. Les Paul P-90s. Sounds like a Marshall in the back!!!!!!!
If this doesn’t make you miss the 80s, nothing will
the soundtrack our lives... rock n roll yeah
ROCK AWESOME
The 80's was awesome. The Hooters helped.
Already planned a 14 hr road trip to see you guys at Keswick Theater in Pennsylvania! I'm so excited!
Thank you
Jadore ce groupe
A damn shame they haven't made it FLA. in a while. Great live band, would love to see them again....
Incredible song.
Best band of the 80s the hooters
great philly band!! was able to see them in the very beginning!
When mullets ruled the earth.
Great show!
Loved their 3 songs!
何年経っても好き
Nothing like the 80s
That song brings it all back.
What a great pop song!
I miss the 80's day by day.
I hated this music back in the day.....but now that I'm 54 years old, I want the old days back, even with the cheesy music.
Great day in the morning fine citizens
The 80s wow what a great generation!!!

There are several good songs of Hooters and this song was first song I loved which came from Japan radio. Nervous Night is good album. 私もこの曲でフーターズにどハマりしました。

.hey it's the same girl and boy from the other music video at 2:42, .. "and we danced" music video !.. so awesome..
I thought I was the only one that caught that lol! yep she was staring at him at the register and he spilled the coke and all ha ha!
I believe that some of these "kids"were friends of the band.😀
I was thinking that myself and saw your post.
