  • I like the way you're able to capture the essence of a person's curves that make up their expression; you don't simply copy the outlines that define the body: you seem to deeply understand the importance of each curvature you have to bring in your stroke to impersonate what makes a picture alive. Your hand draws with so much zeal and technique, that's very impressive. A true mastermind. Plus, your drawing tutorials are the most educational I've ever seen. The voiceover and the light music are also incredibly soothing. I don't feel belittled by your tone or an aggressive format like we usually see. It only feels like learning in the most satisfying and authentic possible way.

  • I’d also like to thank you 조맹 씨! I used to draw a lot as I was a child. Somehow I stopped and was busy for chasing for all so-called “important” things in life. I always wanted to start again but I didn’t know how. Then I found your videos! Your drawing style is exactly what I was looking for! Oh how I love it! And the way you explain the techniques really helps me a lot! Thank to you I started to draw again and even with techniques which you are sharing with us structurally.   • This looks like such a good way of doing heads, I have struggled with heads for a while, I should know how to do them by now but everytime I try it takes me an ungodly amount of tries and adjustments. Definitely going to try this out!

  • I have been ill all over the holiday period and couldn't go anywhere so it has been a perfect opportunity to spend some time on art practice. I really enjoy your clips and even though I don't understand Korean, you have a very calming voice. I also do most of my drawing on A4 paper with basic pencils and ballpoint pens so I really like that this is similar to how you work. Thank you. 매우 감사합니다

  • Your video got recommended and I was bored so I thought maybe I can finally draw a face then I tried… duuuudddeee this helped A LOT! I mean I still couldn’t draw an accurate portrait of someone but at least the face didn’t look wonky… This made me want to practice more!! 감사합니다!!!

  • I've been drawing for almost 20 years now, but I've often struggled to draw people in different angles without reference- I'm self taught and didn't exactly learn in a way that I would recommend to anyone (ie- not starting with the basics and learning anatomy and perspective early on 😅). This video felt like an epiphany. Your videos are incredibly helpful and easy to understand, and by far the best instructional drawing videos I've watched on KZhead. Thank you so much for sharing with us all

  • 大変わかりやすい説明でした。 言葉は分からなくても、絵の説明を見たいるだけで何を伝えようとしてるのか伝わってきました。 自分は、美術教師をしていますが、アニメやイラストをもっと上手になりたいという生徒は多いので、ぜひ伝えたい考え方ですね。 自分は、昔は顔の外輪郭は卵型から分割していく考え方を学びましたが、今は球形の横をカットして顎をあとから足す考え方が主流みたいですね。

  • I haven’t been drawing for long at all, so take what i say with a grain of salt, but i think using guidelines like this are good if you’re drawing without a model. But if you’re drawing from a model or image, just draw what you see
