Guys with natural talent who don't practice on it are at about my level. Guys like the one in the video have both. Experience, inborn talent, and lots of work on their skill. It's a little like playing violin. There are some damn good violinists out there, I might even be one of them. But no matter how good I get I know it's just plain impossible for me to ever play on the level of Kreisler or Heifetz.

I literally grew up in the logging woods...4th generation north Florida logger. Mountain logging has always been a big NOPE for me. You guys are a different breed.

Forwarders aren’t used to log in mountains. They would flip over. They can only operate on up to 30 degree slopes. You either use a tracked harvester or a yarder, which are machines that can actually handle the 50+ degree slopes found in mountains. And before you say that’s a mountain in the video, no it is not. That’s a small hill.

Great job in using the cherry picker full of logs as a counter balance for it come off the slope and using the picker full of logs to balance and realign to the road that goes to the landing. I'm curious: Was the driver seat able to rotate 180° to face backward so they didn't have to reach behind them to control the cherry picker for balance. Another curiosity about the cab does it elevate so the driver has a better vantage point for loading the back of the Fowarder..??? Thank you in advance for your time in reading and responding. Corey
