I’m pretty sure I found the place this took place. Ironbark state park was a cover for Mount rainier national park and it matches the description as “haunted” and a lot of people have gone missing there since forever ago. There are 4 fire towers in the park but one caught my eye as I was researching gobblers knob fire tower which is on the west side of the park has a lower lake (George lake) that’s identical to the one in the game and what’s really interesting is that I read up on the US forest service and it said that theese fire towers still get used which is rare so I figured if this happened in the early to mid 2000s it would make sense. What chills me is there is a local cult that is around that area and is based in a town 30 min away from the park that dress eerily similar to what we see in the game. One ranger actually posted on Reddit about how he thinks some of the rangers are in on the disappearances because they are in the cult and the bad shit that happens in thoose woods but I feel like this happened and I just wanted to share what I found out about it and how this happened.

The thing that terrified me the most is when you investigate the first camp smoke and you hear someone scream,and once you get to the campfire you could hear whistling and once you go to the blocked off woods area you can see one of the cultists hiding behind a tree looking at you whistling,and once you go over there he will crouch and go the opposite way behind the bushes.

Also fun fact the Silas dude u encounter by the shed was also at the diner and after u finish up ur meal he's nowhere to be seen and u'll notice ur van doors are open (if u took this game seriously and closed the door after u exited the van) and previously ur bathroom slider opened just fine, now is strangely.. Jammed which Silas gone into takin free rides n free shower while u didn't even realize u weren't alone in ur van

@@Cheezitz0909 just found out that the story wasn't real at all. You see in ftf, Connors and our generator both fail and run out of fuel. We fix it in no time but Connors takes days to repair. Also there was no name, history, cult ever recorded in washington state where i live and other parts of WA. It might have been some animal or crazy person but from my info I never heard of a cult in a forest. As I said snooqualmie has native American tribes but not cults. Also another thing, the guy who we practically killed who got lost has zero sense to understand. So here's his timeline. Gets lost and kidnapped, somehow makes a fire while with the cult, gets AAAAAAAA by the cult and everything goes from there. It makes no sense because there were no other campers body's or just campers in general that we know of or see in the game other than the one we help die. So it really makes no sense. Unless Silas made the fire, went back to the cult meet up, found our tower, scared us later, went to 💀 us and went back and came back and ran to the entrance. Also if the trooper was inside the little office, he would have helped us escape the guy and happy ending. But he prob got 💀 when Connor saw a fire in his sector. Blah blah blah

..guess i should share my knowledge in regards to occultism. First off, this game is incredible, and easily my favorite in the series, so if you haven't played it, you really should. So, regardless of the story, Cults are usually the pinnacle of unsettling. The idea of beings of the same species as you, worshipping an entity or deity that is beyond a normal man's comprehension, is extremely spooky, and i wish more stories would use the idea. Now, let me make this clear: i am NOT about to make light of the real world cults that have been seen over the years. The KKK might be a bit of a meme in today's media, but to many, occultism is NOT a joke. Throughout the entire game, we see and hear SEVERAL things in regards to the cult that can be connected to real world event and cult practices. Missing people = Kidnapping to make sacrifice? Check. Eerie whistling = a descret calling that only fellow cultists recognize? Check. Mysterious people giving weird vibes and sketchy messages = a disguised cultist warning bystanders not to interfere/get them to join the cult? CHECK. Pretty mucu everything we see about this cult in the game matches with documentaries and stories about Occultism. Even the constant use of "May God Have Mercy" makes perfect sense, because in most beliefs, The gods and deity's would smite ANY who would worship or sacrifice in the name of an eldritch being. As for the Cultists themselves, their outfits are a hint towards what they're worshiping. I point to the horn shaped hood, dangling chains, and sickles as weapons. They likely worship a demon of the Ars goetia, such as Balam or Paimon. And lastly, the one Cultist wearing the white robe is.. quite a tricky thing to figure out. The idea of the whited robed Cultist being a leader isn't far off, but its more likely that this cultist serves more purpose than just leading. Rather, the white robed Cultist was likely Silas. The mysterious radio technician that appeared at night, only to disappear just as fast. I say this, simply because it makes the most sense both with what we see of Silas, as well as how most cults operate. Usually one or two cultists are given the task of blending in with society, keeping their sanity and part of their devotion, in order to strengthen the cult. Unlikely the developer actually put this much effort into the story, but hey. i AM a theorist, and speculation is fun.

When jack saw the flare in the sky and called the hiker he told him to go a certain way and it was the wrong way. So the hiker said, “I hear you, I hear you whistling!” The whistling was actually the killer fyi. Then the hiker said, “ I see you behind the trees!” Then jack lost track of the hiker and that was how jack killed someone without hiding it

The thing that terrified me the most is when you investigate the first camp smoke and you hear someone scream,and once you get to the campfire you could hear whistling and once you go to the blocked off woods area you can see one of the cultists hiding behind a tree looking at you whistling,and once you go over there he will crouch and go the opposite way behind the bushes.

@@Cheezitz0909 basically the same thing as in ftf but the cult got caught by the police. Also I don't think it's called iron bark I think it's called snooqualmie or something but either way basically the cult gets caught and the deaths of the victims were far more gruesome.
@@Cheezitz0909 just found out that the story wasn't real at all. You see in ftf, Connors and our generator both fail and run out of fuel. We fix it in no time but Connors takes days to repair. Also there was no name, history, cult ever recorded in washington state where i live and other parts of WA. It might have been some animal or crazy person but from my info I never heard of a cult in a forest. As I said snooqualmie has native American tribes but not cults. Also another thing, the guy who we practically killed who got lost has zero sense to understand. So here's his timeline. Gets lost and kidnapped, somehow makes a fire while with the cult, gets AAAAAAAA by the cult and everything goes from there. It makes no sense because there were no other campers body's or just campers in general that we know of or see in the game other than the one we help die. So it really makes no sense. Unless Silas made the fire, went back to the cult meet up, found our tower, scared us later, went to 💀 us and went back and came back and ran to the entrance. Also if the trooper was inside the little office, he would have helped us escape the guy and happy ending. But he prob got 💀 when Connor saw a fire in his sector. Blah blah blah

..guess i should share my knowledge in regards to occultism. First off, this game is incredible, and easily my favorite in the series, so if you haven't played it, you really should. So, regardless of the story, Cults are usually the pinnacle of unsettling. The idea of beings of the same species as you, worshipping an entity or deity that is beyond a normal man's comprehension, is extremely spooky, and i wish more stories would use the idea. Now, let me make this clear: i am NOT about to make light of the real world cults that have been seen over the years. The KKK might be a bit of a meme in today's media, but to many, occultism is NOT a joke. Throughout the entire game, we see and hear SEVERAL things in regards to the cult that can be connected to real world event and cult practices. Missing people = Kidnapping to make sacrifice? Check. Eerie whistling = a descret calling that only fellow cultists recognize? Check. Mysterious people giving weird vibes and sketchy messages = a disguised cultist warning bystanders not to interfere/get them to join the cult? CHECK. Pretty mucu everything we see about this cult in the game matches with documentaries and stories about Occultism. Even the constant use of "May God Have Mercy" makes perfect sense, because in most beliefs, The gods and deity's would smite ANY who would worship or sacrifice in the name of an eldritch being. As for the Cultists themselves, their outfits are a hint towards what they're worshiping. I point to the horn shaped hood, dangling chains, and sickles as weapons. They likely worship a demon of the Ars goetia, such as Balam or Paimon. And lastly, the one Cultist wearing the white robe is.. quite a tricky thing to figure out. The idea of the whited robed Cultist being a leader isn't far off, but its more likely that this cultist serves more purpose than just leading. Rather, the white robed Cultist was likely Silas. The mysterious radio technician that appeared at night, only to disappear just as fast. I say this, simply because it makes the most sense both with what we see of Silas, as well as how most cults operate. Usually one or two cultists are given the task of blending in with society, keeping their sanity and part of their devotion, in order to strengthen the cult. Unlikely the developer actually put this much effort into the story, but hey. i AM a theorist, and speculation is fun.
