Thanks you guys for stopping by and meeting the team! We're glad you're digging the bikes 🙌🏻😎
Thank you guys!!! Can’t wait to try more! 🙌🏾
That dudes 30mi commute on the bike probably means he gets to work faster and with less stress considering their location and all.
So true!!!
SoCal traffic is no joke. I could see an e-bike being at least the same time or perhaps even faster - not to mention to health benefits.
Those trails you traveled on are dope.
Thanks for the review, this is likely the ebike that I'm going to get as my first!
I always wanted a proper e-MTB! I have an MTB and it's such a friendly robust format electrifying it would make it much more capable. I wish KTM made one at an affordable price !
They are fun for sure!
Was wondering if you’d guys review this! Nice
Such a fun bike!!
Was already to buy the Level 2. NC Bike shop did not want to negotiate. So i left & bought a Velotric. Saved $290 with bigger motor, more options on the Summit 1
This bike has potential. Although when i looked at the geometry i was disappointed to see that the chainstay length was 465mm. That's really long and not going to allow this bike to be very agile. Sure, it will climb better, but at the expense of it being more fun and poppy. Hopefully they come out with a shorter chainstay in a future version and then I will be a lot more interested.
The chainstay length felt like it complimented the weight really well, I feel like ok e-bikes we prefer a slightly longer chainstay
@@moandhannahtravel Interesting. Even when standing and popping up the front wheel or manualing?
You guys are soooo awesome! That was so much fun that I didn't want it to end. The Kook was doing her thing, charging hard - go Hannah!! I love my singlespeed hardtail and I am thinking "why not a hardtail cheater bike?". If not for the price, would you guys get one over a full squish? Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!! And honestly that’s a tough one, full suspensions are nice but for commuting around town they feel so sluggish. This is the best of both worlds which is awesome!
Great review!!!
Sick bike great company! My only issue was that motor sounded so loud! My Kona (hardtail e-MTB) is probably half as loud, but the Ramblas doesn't sound as loud (or obnoxious) as a Surron. Those single tracks looked so fun!
You can tune the motor down a bit. Full disclosure we also had the bike in turbo most of time haha! We have never tried a Surron, maybe one day!
fun times playing on different bikes!
Super fun!!
I want one soooooooo bad. Hey, cool sunglasses! 😎
Thank you!!!
I was skeptical about Aventon because I never heard about them until I started looking into e-bikes. My first e-bike was the Pace 500.3 - which I love. I currently have an Abound (for my wife) and a Ramblas (for myself) on order. We will keep the Pace 500 for my older kids or just cruising paved trails in town.
I ride analog hard tail, looking to get this soon tho ✅🤙🏼
“That’s faar maaaan” haha that was fun
😂😂😂
Nice video! I see that you are riding an XL frame. I was wondering how tall are you? I’m 6’2’’ and I’m wondering if the XL will be large enough for me. I always feel like bikes are too small for me!
Super sick🔥🔥
Thanks 🔥
Does anyone here know what crank compatibility the Ramblas spindle has. I see the employee upgraded his Crankset and I want to know what is compatible. Thanks!!!
That rattle on the bike would drive me nuts! Generally, it's a nice bike for under 3k, but FullSus light eMTB vs this HT would win my choice (whenever they have one in their lineup) :)
Definitely going to look into that bike company looking for a emtb
They are rad!!!
Review the commencal meta power sx can’t find any reviews on there bike at all..
We’ll look into it!
Nice. I like it.
You should test a reeb sst or a reeb steezle
That would be awesome!!
How did y’all like the cool fork? Decent?
It was awesome! Obviously not a Lyrik but it was really cool to have the stiffness plus the rebound circuit works great adjustment wise!!
Is the Aventon HQ in San Clemente??
Brea, CA!
what is the key for?
How did the geo feel for Mo being a taller guy?
Geo is perfect at 6'2, reach felt awesome!!
Aventon site says 20mph. That's kinda' slow for riding the street. Otherwise I love it.
It is surprising they didnt have a 28mph mode since they already offer it in other bikes. And with a mid drive motor that should be easier to pull off.
@@Syllaren I wonder if it's to keep it within the rules at places that only allow Class 1 e-bikes?
@@heiser_bill yeah pretty likely, but it's still surprising since you need to manually enable class 3 on all their ebikes, so by default it would still be class 1. I'm assuming it's just to make sure authorities would be able to easily identify it would never be anything other than class 1. Makes it less of a hassle if they aren't suspicious you enabled the higher settings I guess.
Why are you not commenting on the consistent chatter of that motor?
I understand the budget friendly emtb but I wish companies would stop using that rockshox RL fork it’s a bowl of dog food the marzocchi bomber is a good fork at a bit little more and would be better bringing the bike to around 2999$ which is still affordable
Need to look at that fork!
I bet they could make a full suspension for under $3500 🤔
That would be rad!
letter looks like canyon.
IMHO, a company should only build hardtail Eebs with the lightest motors and small batteries. It's all added unsprung weight. With it being a hardtail, the efficiency shouldn't warrant anything more than a low torque motor and small watt/hr batt.
Interesting! The battery thing sounds tough, it seems like that is where a lot of weight comes from and it has to be a balance of run time vs lightness?
@@moandhannahtravel A low power motor will go through the battery much slower than a full power unit.
$2699 , how much $2699 , yes $2699 are you sure yup $2699 , oh $2699 ! did I mention it was $2699 , I think you did say $2699 at the start , how many times can a reviewer say only $2699 🤣
Unsuspended weight of an ebike on a hard tail makes for a brutal off-road experience on all but the tamest of trails. I converted a good hard tail to a mid drive ebike - conversion was great but the extra unsuspended weight made it unusable as an actual mountain bike so now that is just a greenway bike. Go full suspension if you are actually going to ride eMTB on trails. My Giant Trance X E+ (or similar full squish emtbs) are amazing and worth the extra $ to actually be able to use them off-road. my hard tail emtb conversion review/experience: kzhead.info/sun/qaaee5ebpn55l30/bejne.htmlsi=TRFBpj3sM_O5JmHA
I’d like to see a little more dissecting of bikes if you guys are considering yourselves as bike reviewers. I find it hard to believe you couldn’t come up with a single negative for a cheap Chinese ebike.
Hey! So this was just a first ride review. A big thing with bike reviews is the bike cost. Once again this is a $2699 electric mountain bike with Rock Shox 130mm fork with 35mm stanchions, Sram 4 piston DB8 brakes, dropper post, 1x12 Sram drivetrain, and a fully customizable motor. At $2699 it's a bike with a very attainable price point made by a US company. We will try and do a longer term review this year! But you have to admit that price point is pretty insane? Also there is not many other bikes we can compare this one too. For us it was a fun and capable bike at an amazing price point with solid components.
90% of all bikes are made in China. And if not made there, the parts still come from China.
LOL.
Electric moped get a proper bike
No one likes an amish style gatekeeper. If you dont like them just dont ride them.
Not for nothing nobody is buying a hard tail e bikes and fusing trails!
Hi .... by .... we don't like ebikes
