i like how toni is such an imperfect protagonist. she reacts with so much emotion, so violently, and chokes and regrets her actions later. she makes dozens of mistakes and she knows it, she knows who to forgive and when, which is a lot more realistic than the consistently saintly characters of msa that forgive and forget immediately. i think that toni really reflects a more realistic view of human beings, the one where they blame everything else in front of them and actually learn from mistakes.

Good point, it's more of how you deal with trama. Yes, it wasn't his fault cause she literally ran right in front of the car, but that being said regardless of if it was her fault or his fault a near death experience is something that can change your life forever. In this case, she forgives him because she realizes he did everything in his power to make it right and because she knows she was the one who ran in front of the car not the other way around. I could easily see how some people on the other hand though would be scared and terriffied from being blind to a point where they can never look or talk to the person who took part in making you feel that way. Nevertheless DATING that person.

What mason did to toni was really shocking, but seeing him admitting that he was the one who caused the accident that made her lose her eye sight before she found out was the brave thing to do, even though he did had actually cared for toni and not just feeling guilty about it. Plus toni was really lucky to still have her mom since she really was one who took good care of her and made her feel like she is important other her job.
Yeah what Mason did was very sweet but I really don’t think it warrants affections for Toni. But of course knowing MSA every boy a girl meets must automatically be love.
