  • One more tip: when you are drying with the brush, you'll get more shine if you angle the concentrator attachment towards the ends of your hair. I learned about that in a book called How to Look Expensive (hate the name and the product recommendations are out of date, but otherwise really helpful). The author says that works because it encourages the cuticle to lay flat. After I read that, I started paying attention, and my stylist always does this.

  • I am a hairdresser and a little tip is that once the hair is dry you do not need to apply more heat protectant before styling because the first application is still on your hair! Sometimes adding layers and layers of products can weigh the hair down and make it greasier quicker. But if your hair is drier or coarser and the product helps tame it by all means do that! :) By the way your hair looks gorgeous 💕

    • Hey, When should I apply heat protectant if I’m styling my hair when its dry(air dry) ? I apply it when its still damp and it let air dry but i see people apply it on dry hair as well

      @sampurnaa@sampurnaa Жыл бұрын
    • @@sampurnaa you’re able to apply the heat protectant to dry hair as well. It’s just when you apply it to wet hair then blow dry then apply more to style it can the hair get weighed down :)

    • Heyy do you have any tips on keeping my hair healthy and moisturized although I style my hair twice a week with a straightener (180° C)

      @luna_the_star@luna_the_star Жыл бұрын
    • @@luna_the_star a lot has to do with the shampoo and conditioner you’re using. If it’s a drug store product there are other ingredients in them that are not good for the hair. But if you want to stay on a budget try to find one that’s sulfate and paraben free. Para end and sulfates (especially) strip the hair of any natural oils needed to moisturize the hair.

      @haleighb8301@haleighb8301 Жыл бұрын
    • @@luna_the_star and since you heat style a couple times a week I would invest in a salon quality hair treatment like Olaplex No. 3 or any hydrating hair mask. A personal favorite of mine is the Joico Intensive Hydrator :)

  • a tip i like to do mostly: when showering i always rub the shampoo in both of my hands other than adding it straight away in my hair. after that i then rinse it off with warm water. when adding conditioner, i comb my hair down with my hands (dont add it on top of your head) then rinse it off with cold water. after taking a shower i dont immediately blow dry it. I leave it for 1 hour so that it smoothen my hair. after that i blow dry it a bit in a cold temperature. adding hot temp makes it frizzy and dry. this is probably basic tips but these are for people who have wavy/frizzy hair like me :)

  • If you learn to use a round brush, you can do the salon side even faster by using a smaller barrel round brush to create the curl/wave you want. While it’s still on the barrel blast with a bit of cool air at the end and then clip the curl with a long clip and to let it finish setting while you work on the next section. Blow down the hair shaft as well rather then diricting the heart right at the hair when using a concentrator nozel. Doing so will give you a smoother finish.

I need my natural wavy hair back and to follow the wavy hair routine you mentioned.. I really appreciate your effort and courage to show the world that how things are actually like... because as you can see every channel in KZhead is only praising the good effects of these chemical treatments.. yes, there are some videos about the bad effects.. but none of them really dare to show us how it actually looks like and gave the courage to grow back the natural hair.. By the by you are so gorgeous and i am so happy in subscribing ur channel!💜

  • The problem with the salon way is not that people don't really know that they select hair but it's that it takes lot of time when you do it yourself if your hair is long. Especially if you curl it after. So it's just easier to dry it regular way if you need to go somewhere

  • You have fine hair with alot of volume. But for me who has fine hair with low volume I am better off using little to zero heat. Spray some leave in conditioner, air dry for an hour, get the remaining wet part (usually the scalp) blow dried. Feeling the heat in the hair you can do rolls wraps or buns to give you that curly natural look. Spritz some hairspray or oil to maintain it. You can skip the blow drying too if it dried faster and just set it with oil.

  • What annoys me is that Ig I'm slow and some of my hair is almost dry by the time I get to it. I prefer styling almost exclusively with cold air and I like to whip my hair back and forth letting it land in a towel on both sides lol so I get it to a very uniform 70-80% dry before I even start blowdrying, depending on how much I whip even 90ish% dry. All bcs it's faster that way and I use the blowdryer less. I wish I could do the whole blowdrying thing faster overall so I don't treat some parts of my hair too differently to others.
