Agree. I would vote Grace, Laura, and Brian into the Final 3, but I don't know if they do that on this show. Yet, the only one I don't think should be there out of all of them is Tape Face. The other 9 were all phenomenal.

Kathleen S I think tomorrow night (tonight now actually -- 1:15 am in Florida) they narrow it down to the top 2 or 3 vote getters (for drama) and then pick the winner out of those 2 or 3. But I'm not sure if they do that on this show. X-Factor USA used to do that, but not sure how AGT does it.

The reason why Grace won is because the songs were hers if she did someone else’s cover she would not have gone far. She gave it her all and that was enough to win America’s Got Talent. Well done Grace.

Bennet, these shows aren't based on actual talent, it's emotion and showmanship more than anything. If someone can win the crowd and is half good they're gonna win, that's about it. An exception would be Jordan smith, who is actually very, very good at singing.
Howie is one of the good ones out there, even when he pokes fun at you.
I don't know if anyone has done it before in the history of AGT, correct me if I'm wrong but this lil sweet thing has consistently perform original songs through out this competition...any good singer can do a cover of someone else's song...millions of people covering Grace's song all across the world is a clear evidence that a great star has been BORN!...I wish I could vote too but all the same...much love from AFRICA (Ghana)!

I noticed too coz I had the same problem as a kid. It goes away when I take a couple or three deep breaths. It could be nerve wracking. I am a very shy person so when I sing or speak in front of a big audience I shake like a leaf. Grace will overcome this eventually. She is only 12 guys! She is going to be just fine.

But the weird thing is sometimes I shake when I'm telling a story or something to my group of friends , it's not like I'm nervous or shy from them , we grew up together and I'm so open with them, it's just when a group of people are looking at me and that I have their undivided attention that makes me shake. I always blame it on the cold when they ask.

I just love...love...LOVE...this little girl. She has a charm and a personality that is going to take her where ever she wants to go in life. Melvina was spot on when she said that Grace is perfectly in control of what's going on around her when she's performing. Simply amazing!!!!!!
It's very simple. Grace created every bit of it. She wrote the lyrics, produced the melody, decided how how to present it, composed the basic music, and performed the presentation. The AGT supporting musicians were afterthoughts, which thankfully dovetailed nicely with her direction. Most folks dont realize just how much silly work goes into the "hits" they listen to today. This 12 year old child basically came along and said, "Hold my Kool-Aid and watch this", then made em all look like slackers. Wow. 12 years old, and this little girl touches a nerve like "professionals" only dream they could. Well done.
She is not the next Taylor Swift. If someone tried hard enough, maybe they could do what she did. But just think about it. She wrote her own songs. She sang beautifully. AND she plays ukulele! Taylor started writing her own songs at the age of 12 and spent years in Nashville trying to get a record deal, she taught herself how to play guitar and did a lot to get where she is today. I'm pretty sure thats what Simon means by that comment.
