The gulper in the Fallout show looks like an axolotl, a type of salamander from Mexico. They have those spikey tendrils on the sides of their head.

It would be, "all the way DOWN to level 12". The vaults are underground and the levels would therefore go down in number, not up.
Maybe in some backward world but here you'd physically be going down but the numbers would probably still go up.... Example would be you start on the ground floor and go down to b1-12
The show only suggested that vault tech was willing to drop the first bomb if the war didn't start. It's still not completely confirmed who started the war but most games point towards China starting it.
They also offer the Zetans and Vault Tech up as possible culprits too though

I agree with you that the show only demonstrated that Vault-Tec was willing to detonate nukes to start a nuclear war. There are a number of things in the games that indicate Vault-Tec and their partners were caught by surprise when the nukes started flying. In the show itself, I thought a biggy was that if Barb knew that the morning of October 23rd was when things would kickoff, she would have made sure Janey was with her and not out and about with Coop.

One possibility is a Vault-Tec hater who survived the initial blasts painted the logo on the bomb, maybe with a message no longer visible to "Deliver to Vault-Tec". Another possibility is that a division of Vault-Tec built nukes for the US government. The corporations weren't shy about branding and maybe lots of bombs in the US inventory had Vault-Tec logos on them.

The Gulper in Fallout 4 are due to wild animals mutating while show is explained to be human hybrids. Fallout isn't against having different creatures called the same thing if they have a similiar genetic connection and behavior. I mean, if it's a crustation and lurks out of the water to attacke it's likely to be called a mirelurk. Credit to the show that their version of the Gulper is an axolotl as the amphibean base as a nod to IRL use as a lab animal.
The Gulper from the Amazon series is a gigantic Axolotl. The tentacles around the head are a dead giveaway of that......

Shouldn’t we take note of how the big gulpers have human fingers? That is not just influence by radiation. The Master from the first Fallout game used FEV to combine creatures. I have a theory that The Master is still alive through that ash which the cult is spreading on their faces. This would be a cool reveal and explain the vault 4 citizen mutations. Just a theory though, who knows!

They never said outright that vault Tec dropped the bombs, it was of course implied but knowing fallout history, it was China that sent the 1st bomb… but that’s not to say vault Tec didn’t have something to do with creating the environment of global tensions that caused it all.. on top of that, why would barb have let her daughter be away from her at the time of the bombs if they did it?
I think its important to note that the east coast and west coast gulpers aren't the same species being portrayed differently based on its media origin, they are literally 2 different creatures that just happen to have the same name.
So, most likely, the gulpers of the show and fo4 gulpers are convergent evolutions. They look and act the same, but are different species

I don't know why I thought this, but i thought they had turned their kids into the gulper. I guess that would mean the one-eyed guy is the decendant of the scientists. Maybe that's why he's so nice, he has guilt and responsibility to run vault 4 well.
On the contrary the one-eyes overseer said that the "gulper" seen on the tape was his relative. His grandmothers brother if I'm not mistaken. None of the scientists survived because the test subjects escaped due to the gulpers killing the scientists. Thus the vault is run by the descendants of the test subjects and the outsiders they have taken in.

Why don't the Vaults have sensors (like the Pip Boys) that would detect radiation from the surface (exactly as Lucy's did when she and Monty were in the bedroom)? Wouldn't that large group of "Vault 32" dwellers have set it off or would that have spoiled the fun of them being able to massacre so many people?

I told my mom that there are 17 controled vaults, vault-tec wanted to specifically want to make sure that their vault's design/Experiments go according to plan. So by the time we get to vault 4 I knew it was one of those control vaults

I don't fully accept that vault tech dropped the bombs. I get that they said screw it, either the demand is created on its own with the geopolitical situation or we will make it. But I think it's more likely they just greased the wheels until this outcome happens. Think of it this way, that board room meeting with all the big players includes House, and out of all the people there, he's the only one asking questions related to logistics. House is a bit cold and calculating, but he's always made projections on where things are going. Originally, in fallout NV, he started seeing the writing on the walls and made mathematical models to predict down to the day when the bombs will be dropped. And he was only off by 20 hrs in his prediction of when the bombs happen. After the first season, the wiki has been updated to include the meeting shown here but hes already running the numbers by then and if anything now has to account for vault tech accelerating things. So why the hell is he off by 20hrs still ? Vault tech needs these guys around, in the short term for funding but in the long term for what tech they bring to the table. It doesnt make sense for vault tech to just not tell them the day they intend to set things off. And if this is all cannon house being off by 20 hrs make less sense if he already knew of vaul tech's intentions. Its possible vault tech didnt say anything to screw them over but i doubt its possible to pull one over on house of all people.

It is definite, I promise you. Before the show ever aired, the writers told everyone that the theme of Fallout was "haves vs have-nots". It never was before, but now the wikis have changed to reflect the new canon. The people who spread that message certainly aren't going to blame Communist China, because they are socialists. This path that Valt-Tech started the war for profit makes no sense at all and really should be abandoned. You don't remain in business when your costumers are all dead; it's a poor business model. Vault-Tech is out of business. Originally it always seemed that Vault-Tech was following the original purpose of the vaults, but added in their own experiments as a side quest.
