  • 1:57 can some1 explain why he paused for extra 2 seconds even he saw the bastion, a lot of other runners did this too

    • This is done to not spawn 50 million zombie pigs in the bastion. If you pause for like an extra 2 or 3 secs then zombie pigs spawn less frequently (at least this is what ik about it, idk any technical stuff)

    • @@shouryaanant6855your right. The reason is that the Nether is loading and there is a certain amount of mobs that spawn. So if the space of loaded nether is smaller, the Zombie pigs can only spawn in that area. Thats means you just create a bigger space for the mobs to spawn so they dont spawn in your bastion

    • Nah besides the mob spawning thing, speedrunners pull up the f3 screen as soon as they enter the nether, turn down their FOV, and spin in a circle. They look at the entity counter (5th row where the E is), and if the number goes up at some point, it means there's a lotta entities in the direction your facing, which in this case is the piglins in the bastion. They use this to easily know the general direction of bastions. Our guy 7rowl here was going to do that but it got a lucky spawn and didn't have to lower his FOV to find a bastion cuz there's one in front of him. there's also a great video that mentions it called "14 Minecraft Secrets Only Speedrunners Know..." and it explains the stuff very nicely.
