  • Thanks for this! What a joy to hear this song after so many years.... bring back some very fond memories of my friends and I driving down to the Jersey Shore in our convertible, blasting 'The Hooters' among many bands! They were one of our favorites! Good times!

  • They are in the philly hall of fame but not rock and roll in Cleveland yet. Keep following, keep the faith, buy their music and rock on!

  • These guys are among the best. They incredibly talented musicians, all of them. The scope of the types of instruments they play is something you'll probably never see again in a band. And these guys can PLAY!!

    • +Jack D. Ripper ...lots of bands//musicians play loads of instruments...just RARELY one's on POP/TOP 40 radio. Alternative rock...some country/bluegass, jazz musicians tend to play many instruments....Music education in the US too a bad spiral downturn in the 70s/80s...and, basically, today, unles you have a strong family/community background, and musicians who encourage you to play...it ends o be just ONE instrument...and maybe voice/chorus.. THe late, great Bobby Darin played ove a dozen instruments well...and was an expert vocalist and vocal arranger...likewise many artists with roots in their church community...of whatever background, learn ALL things that surround them.

    • Glenn Leahey Leon Russell is another one of which we will never see the likes of again. Thank Cthulhu he's still with us. I REALLY miss Dan Fogelberg, another amazing multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger, producer, etc. One of the few things which is good about being older is we got to see all the COOL bands.

  • I saw the Hooters in August of 1985 at the Foxx in Atlanta, Georgia. They played with Squeeze. It was a fantastic concert. Almost 30 years later and Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian still deliver the goods.

  • Macklemore is good, but won't be remembered for more than a One Hit Wonder (which I love) 30 years from now. I saw these guys at UCONN as a student in the 80s-low cost Student Union tickets-just as these Philly Boys were becoming famous, which is always the best time to see a band. They played everything, switching instruments and just having a ball performing. It was just One if Those Nights when band and audience connected. I was hooked by The Hooters that night. They became world famous just then-Jorgensen Hall, Storrs, CT

  • I loved The Hooters back in the day. They opened for everyone and I was able to often get tickets without paying so my good friend would go with me. Sometimes we didn’t even stay for whoever was the main band like Loverboy or the Psychedelic furs. I think we saw them four or five times. I don’t think my friend liked them but we got to go to a lot of concerts because of my Grandmother’s connections with the Forum in Inglewood, California. Great memories and music to dance to.

  • I'm 30 and just recently started listening to older stuff. The reason is that much of today's music is garbage with many exceptions to some bands. I will absolutely try and make it to Harrisburg this May if they are going to play or any venue in the Philadelphia region.

    • They perform every year in the Philly area, do a big tour in Germany and Sweden, and the past 3 years have played Epcot in November for the Eat to the Beat event. This year was supposed to be a big 40th anniversary tour which of course was delayed to next year because of the pandemic. I was booked to travel to Germany to see some shows. In fact I would have left Philly July 4th and would have seen shows the 5th, 9th, 10th and 13th 😢
