Restoration of rusted rolling door motor | Restore and reuse old rusted shutter motor 220v - An engine set up for automatic closing was neglected at the old bunker. A lot of learning is needed to perfectly restore this engine. Please advise me on this project. Thanks for watching

  • Мне интересно как называется та краска которая тут изображает ржавчину. потомушто у нас при такой ржавчине не только не один винт отвёрткой не выкрутился бы но и с болтами пришлось бы чёрти скоко возится чтоб их открутить

    • pretty sure this part is a torque limiter, it just need to transmit enough force for normal operation so superglue should be just fine

    • he poured most likely olive oil, that creates a thin layer of carbon on the metal that protects from corrosion. that said he did it in the most dangerous way possible, most sane people would dump the metal part in a bucket of oil, this way there is not enough heat to make the entire oil bucket go ablaze.
