I really liked my 2002 Avalanche. I kept it 18 years.
Regarding the charge port. I think OEMs should just put two that are diagonal from each other to cover any situation.
First off the grill needs to look like a grill, not an oven door, and it needs real tires with sidewalls, not low profiles.
It’s electric, there’s no need for any of that… maybe thicker tires sure
It has real tires with sidewall. I’m not sure why y’all think every truck needs 32 inch tires in order to be a road truck.
😭😭😭😭
I've designed that! Don't say bad things about it! 😂
that mid door is the future now, very useful
How big is too big? I think we’ve passed that threshold a while ago. IMO 20” wheels are probably the largest I’d think are appropriate. I’ve always ascribed to the notion that you generally try to get the smallest wheels that fit over your brakes.
Horrible philosophy for a luxury _anything._
@@G-Rated how so? Does luxury have to be directly connected to appearance?
@@ALMX5DP yes it does. It’s both the look and feel of a vehicle that makes it luxurious. There’s nothing luxurious about what you’re suggesting. Leave it to the professionals.
I think the 20’s help me with highway cruising mpg, but really hurt when it’s start/stop/slow driving. Can’t prove it, but it seems that way.
@@G-Rated Are you suggesting someone disregard their subjective opinion and adopt what “professionals” say? In other words, is this your opinion?🤔🤔🤣🤣
Unless the figures have changed, I believe there is a hp difference between the Sierra EV and Silverado EV. 754hp vs 664hp.
I think it looks great, be very interesting to see what the real world range is, how far can you go loaded up with the family.
👏👏👏 THANKS FOR WORKIN HARD AT THE SHOW FOR US GUYS...
It’s cool in the way a Lambo is cool. It’s a truck but can’t do a lot of truck things very well or practically. A lambo is a car but can’t do a lot of car things very well. Both are expensive show piece novelties
I feel no one ever mentions about the mid gate leaving the back open to the elements! You wouldn't want to drop it on a minus 20° day. Also, great shots!
Duramax swap when?
They took an Avalanche mixed it with a Sierra modernized it with 24's and made it electric. I can't afford it but it looks amazing
9500lbs of towing.....for 50 miles range
Can’t wait to see it pull a load over the Rockies. Wonder what the real miles per charge will be.😏
you forgot to mention the avalanche was also the first with those bumper steps.
You will have to watch that big screen when you hall stuff through the mid gate
Im sure its a great product...im really not sure about the one-piece body thou..trucks gotta have that flexibility between cab n box
That color is called barbed wire grey
your gonna need all that horsepower to haul all those groceries in the bed
The Elmer family grocery run😀👍🏻
How much does it cost? $3 million?
Is that an F150 Tali light!!😃😃
The whole mid-gate concept is maddening to me. The whole point of a truck is to put stuff in the bed. If you want to have to put seats down buy a SUV. Who wants all the drawbacks of both vehicles in one.
Beautiful truck, but who can afford it?
The people getting in line to purchase one…
I can👍👍👍
is there really any difference between this and the chevy other than badging?
How is backing in safer than backing out? Honest question. It's the exact same, unless your expecting a bomb to explode and you need to pull away quickly
If you had to ask that it means you haven't learned to back in 😮
Up north with the sand and salt,it would be junk in no time.
👍👍👍
They just need to bring back the Avalanche and stop this nonsense.
Exactly I just got a 2005 for $7K only 124K miles
@@MULTIVERSEGEETV I'm looking for a good one also.
I think GM like Ford will start using Tesla fast chargers next year hence the reason for the charge port location back there.
Tesla chargers don’t impact port location
@@andrewsbbq They absolutely do, their charge cables are very short.
@@bostondan77 back in vs drive straight in

150,000 dollars. What a bargain. Let's all run out and buy 2.
Thast todays money,it's called in flation, truck weres expensive in the 90's if it was fully loaded, although todays trucks with the inflated price on a trukc back in the 90's it's actually more so technically trucks have gone up in price but the high number is todays money is like half, the dollar is not worth 75 cents today.
LOL you mean way back in 2019 when the same truck was 30grand less. it's called stealing. @@rollin19
Дарова впрочем всё нормально но видео почаще выпускай 😄
100k luxury truck and work domt belong in same sentence. These are for pavement princessess
Its 110k starting price....add all the fees after and that truck will be 130k at cureent ratesof 8% This shit is going to flop
I can fill up my Ram 1500 from empty to 100% in less than 5 minutes ⛽ Any full size EV truck will take over an hour to go from zero to 100% charge 🔋. No one has patience nowadays so I'll stay with what I got.
Is that thing uni-body? Okay, it's for guys with toys the haul, so I guess it doesn't need frame.
If I’m not mistaken, it’s not quite a unibody and not quite a body on frame. Somewhere in the middle.
Bet this sells better in Canada than USA. For some reasons, Canucks love GMC more than Chevys.
Canadians won’t be able to afford this, electricity way to high
Good luck selling those. They look pretty good but anyone who actually needs a truck won’t be buying this.
Look at the nightmarish Hummer EV. Can you imagine spending 6 figures to be regularly stalled on the side of the road…
Mid-Gate is ideal for overlanding & camping - this Truck is NOT!! 8500lbs towing for 200miles (1/2 0f 400) is NOT great - and - even LESS miles when it is very cold out. This is NOT a "real" Truck - duh!! Great KZhead Channel - how about some videos on "Real Trucks" vs "Vanity Trucks"👍😎
Who told you it’s even less miles when really cold out? Y’all just make things up as y’all go and pass it as fact. It’s hilarious.
@@G-Rated 😂😂 NOT made up!! Google “EV Truck Range cold” "We’ve not published any data yet," NACFE executive director Mike Roeth told CCJ. "Directionally you lose 10% range for every 10 degrees under 30 degrees Fahrenheit." The AAA Automotive Research Center in Southern California found that EV range "dropped 57 percent...when the temperature was held steady at 20°F."
@@mikeyc7072 Except you don’t know what *gm* has implemented to mitigate that. You’re just running your mouth. Lol
Tell us what you really think🤣
@@G-Rated Factually, you are the one running your mouth - advertising one’s ignorance is never a good idea 🤣 A solution to poor EV battery performance in the cold, and poor charging performance in the cold, would be front page news!! This is a problem all over the world in cold climates. Lots of studies from Norway on this where it IS cold and EV’s make up over 20% of cars on the road. GM has no new tech, especially in this Vanity Pickup for rich show-offs who will never use it as a Truck. Cybertruck might have new tech, who knows🤷♂️?
Why? F… EV VEHICLES
Hate the looks, the front fascia is just crying to get trashed.
No look on the inside 😡
An EV truck is an oxymoron. Although, it makes sense since there's as many trucks as smartphones.
Awfully expensive coffee truck, no thanks
Upgrade your cameras please!
Why? I am watching it on a big screen monitor, looks fine. Get off the phone.
No thanks, I don't want an electric truck, and neither do most Americans!
Look up the Kia K2500 double cab 4x4 on KZhead. Diesel, manual transmission, real 4wd, no "luxury" no BS workhorse and it's less than $20k usd. Screw this overpriced garbage, I hope they strike American truck manufacturers into the grave. They deserve it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 keep driving your old trash🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you imagine a farmer out in his fields when he runs out of juice. Normally he would call someone on the farm to come out with fuel but with an electric? Tell me how this would work, please.
you think a farmer would ever run out of electricity ? it's got 400 mi range. you'd never run out doing day to day tasks. lol. pretty much proved you don't operate a farm with this comment.
why would he run out?
Not cool
Pffft.
Quit the EV BS and bring back the real Avalanche already. These EVs are so overpriced, and won't even hold half the advertised charge if trying to tow anything.
Millions of dollars spent developing a truck that nobody will buy.
That is the most hideous truck I've ever laid eyes on. I usually am not a hater either. I can find something nice about 90% of trucks. But this is like my children would say, cringe.
Not as ulgy as the Tundra
Another Dumb EV 😅
The lightning is trash
Junk belongs in the junkyard so many people bitch about charging them piles EV when going on road trips. Someone needs to build an EV that somehow recharges batteries by using the rotation of the 🛞
In this house we obey the laws of thermodynamics!
