Remember when Jesse mocked everyone who was even a little skeptical of his claims that Strickland was already the biggest start since Conor? I remember thinking that Jesse was probably wrong, and I saw lots of other people thinking he was wrong. I bet he's already moved the goalpost. But, that said, what seemed obvious to me is that Strickland's bubble was the result of many temporary factors and could not last. He'll still sell tickets. He's still gonna have a big fan base. But Jesse went bonkers and, of course, had to mock anybody who couldn't see how obvious it was that Strickland was taking over the UFC. Strickland isn't very funny. He doesn't 'keep it real' the way Jesse claims. If Strickland kept it real, he wouldn't always be saying things that make him a hypocrite. Sean has pull because he gets views and draws interest. Look at Nina Dramas youtube channel and her top 10 most viewed interviews. They are pretty much all Strickland interviews lol. He averages almost 2 million views per interview on her channel while other fighters average like 50-200k and Sean has that effect on every show that has him on. His interviews and pressers get way more views than guys like Omally and Izzy get.

Jesse look at it from this perspective, they may be icing Strickland, meaning, they have Izzy du plessis right, what if someone pulls out, boom Strickland, then Whitaker vs khamzat someone pulls out, boom Strickland, then 2nd title fight even, whichever party pulls out boom Strickland can step in, Sean can pull numbers in any position here with any party for the belt, where some of these other guys only have the hype of today, the UFC plans deep, they offered him Costa knowing he'd turn it down because they know they have to, they may pay him to be a back up in the Dricus adesanya fight etc. they're planning a year past now 3 different ways, they have to offer Strickland 3 fights a year.
